21st August 2011, Disney Dream

We are doing only one back to back in 2011 on the Dream. (so far)

We are also doing a b2b in the Med on the Magic in July 2011. Should be a fun and exciting summer.

Love the group photo. Why are my teeth glowing? lol

I saw you post on 4 different sailings and almost reported you for spam, I thought no-one will be doing 4 cruises so close together then I realized it was you.:goodvibes

Your teeth and my glasses must have caught the flash.:rotfl2:

Added you to the list now, should have done it a few nights ago but been struggling with jet lag.:sad1:

Hello!
My DD(17) and I will be sailing on this cruise as well. We were on the Wonder in August and booked for next year onboard...we just couldn't resist. We've been on so many DCL cruises but we just keep coming back because we always have such a lovely time.

So add me and my DD Elizabeth to the list! We'll be in Room 6568. We're going to spend a few days in WDW after the cruise; we went right home after the cruise and I really regretted that we didn't take a few days in WDW before flying home.

Matthew, nice to see a fellow Canadian onboard! I'm going to Vancouver for work at the end of September for 2 weeks and can't wait to see that beautiful city!

That is pretty funny!

I like to do a full month straight on the Disney cruises, but next summer I split up my time between ships a bit. It will be strange for me.

Next photo. no glasses for you, and I won't smile. lol

Thanks for adding me!

Hi Lynda & Elizabeth, Welcome aboard. :welcome:

I think most people like a few days after the cruise before they go home. thankfully we have always managed a few days before flying back to UK, for this trip we are planning 17 nights before and 3 nights after but all depends when I can get the flights for.

Added you to the growing list :thumbsup2

Hi Lynda, you'll love Vancouver this time of year. The weather is perfect and quite picturesque when the fall colour sets in. Enjoy your business trip!

Could you add two more cruisers to your list? :goodvibes

My brother Tom and I decided to do a back to back to back cruise next summer, so we start our "Dream" cruise on the 21st of Aug.

This will be our fourth cruise! :woohoo:

Welcome aboard Karin & Tom, added you to the list :thumbsup2

Just had a quick look in your trip reports I see you were at OKW last month, we were there from 8th-29th, We had a couple of DISmeets outside the Gurgling suitcase but looks like you arrived too late for 1st and left for the port before the 2nd, about 30 of us at each one. I think we are going to book OKW again for 17 nights before the cruise next August.
Link to my thread with pics, 1st meet was on the 13th, 2nd on the 26th.

Thanks for the links! I wish we could have been there, but we DID arrive a day to late for the first one and left a day to early for the second one!
Hope we get luckier next summer! :goodvibes

I am hoping to upgrade to OKW for some part of our trip next summer too, but with a trip to DLRP in late October, a trip in February and another 4 weeks and 3 cruises next summer I will really need to sit down and do the math! :rotfl2:

Oh, and thanks for adding us to your list. I just realized that you need the stateroom number too - we will be in 10554 for all 3 cruises! :goodvibes

Added your stateroom number.:goodvibes

The cost difference for us in UK between value and OKW is very small plus in a value there is no free dining, at OKW we get the full dining plan.
All stars £77($118)/night no dining
Pop Century £92($141)/night no dining
OKW or SSR £117($180)/night includes free dining(this year we avaraged $170/night of free food)
Well worth the $62/night difference between value and OKW, far better room and all that free food.

We are joining you on board too! We are Sherry, Bev and Casey (6 at time of cruising) from Newfoundland. We are in stateroom 7080 (traveling with friends next door in 7082).

Excited about our first cruise, but have another trip to WDW next month first!

Thanks for the warm welcome, wayneg, and for adding us to the list! I'm really excited to see the Dream! The photos on the website look great.

Matt, can't wait to see your beautiful city!

Enjoy next months trip:goodvibes

I can't wait to see the new ship, seems so far away yet though:sad2:

Hi Dizneeat .........My DS and I also missed the Disney World meet by a day and left before the second one this August. We could have had our own meet :rotfl2:

August seems very far away .... I am going on an RCL cruise in Nov....ONLY because I could not talk my sisters into doing disney.... there is something wrong with them for not wanting to DIS cruise, but I love them anyway :thumbsup2

Hi Joi, have you been on a RCL obviously not as good as Disney but still very enjoyable, we have done 2 both aboard the older ship Sovereign of the Seas both times less than half the cost of Disney, sometimes the price difference is too great for me.

We have decided to cancel our cruise for a variety of reasons as well as not going to WDW in August next year. The flights are far too expensive and have booked flights for half the price in May/June.

This means sadly that we won't be joining you all on this cruise. Hope you all have a magical time.

We usually BOOK with Disney UK and this summer's trip was no exception. The only thing is, that I need to buy tickets to get in on the Free Dining deal and we stay in a villa, not a studio ;) (Got upgraded to one once and now are definitely HOOKED because of the size of the villas! :lmao:)
We both are AP holders and I have quite a collection of unused UK tickets at home - and here's the next catch - they DO expire! Learned that the hard way . So with an added 310$ bill for the non expiration OKW can get a bit on the pricey side.
BUT ....... your little "reminder" was enough to make us think/talk about staying at OKW for at least part of our vacation next summer! :rotfl: So, we are going back to OKW for the second part of our stay in September - AFTER our cruises!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes :woohoo: (We'll use the tickets to renew our APs ....... again!)

It's a pity to miss BOTH meets by one day!
And I know what you mean about August being so far away! We have a trip to DLRP in late October and a trip back to WDW in February to keep us sane! Thankfully I have used ALL my influence on my DB Tom, so he is just as happy to go to Disney as I am! ;) :rotfl2:

Actually we have looked into Carnival and RC as the price is just unbelievable compared to what Disney charges,

............. but then Disney always wins! ;)

Hi Caron, been expecting this after reading posts elsewhere, thanks for letting us know.
Hopefully some deals will be around for flights, most airlines have still not released prices yet but early indications don't look good. Personally I very rarely book flights so far out, a deal usually comes up around Xmas if not before. We were planning May/June and August but considering dropping May June now as it would have only been 7 nights.
One day we will get to meet.:goodvibes

Hello everyone, Well I booked this some time ago, but have not been 100% sure it would stick, well it is, so HELLOOOOO shipmates and a hearty ARGUE to ye all swabies.

WE are quite a band of swashbucklers pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:
pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

Cat 4 Rm 10576 - Me Rick: 54, DW Rose 53, DD Amy 26, DS RJ 21, DD Brittney 17, DM Marie (she can still do damage if I post her age) Dsis Elaine 46, DBIL Mike 46, DN Anthony 12, DN Anthony 12...Phew, that's allot of typing.

This will be our third Disney cruise, and I can't wait for the new ship! Loved the Wonder, and always will I suppose, but something about all the new stuff to come...

Welcome aboard Rick and family. :welcome:

Great to have some pirates sailing with us:goodvibes

We love both the Wonder and the Magic, hopefully the Dream will be even better.

Added to the list :woohoo:
