20th Anniversary-where to go??

DH and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in April. We are trying to decide where to go for a long weekend. We are taking a short trip since we have been so fortunate to have taken some wonderful vacations these past few years. We will take the "big one" another year.

We will have four days tops at the end of April and would like to keep it within a 4 hour drive. We are in the center of Pennsylvania. We would LOVE to use our DVC points and go to Hilton Head, but it is a 12 hour drive. We talked about Washington DC, but New Paltz NY keeps popping into my head.

Any suggestions?

Just curious, what is the draw to New Paltz?

How far are you from Niagra Falls, that would be a great get away. Or even Boston or NYC?

Oh my goodness, that looks gorgeous!! I grew up less than 60 miles away from there and never knew it existed. I had always heard about New Paltz, but never knew what was there! Wow!

Now you have me thinking I need to go there for my 20th anniversary as it will be fall time and so pretty. We could drive up from VA and leave my DS with grandma who is only 40 miles from there according to map quest!! Woo hoo hoo!!!

Hey Dan-I wish Chicago was just a few hours closer. That is one city I have heard great things about, but never had the chance to visit. ......hhmmmm, but how is the public transportation? we could always fly......

Just wanted to say Happy Anniversary Karen! Our 20th is in June but DD#1 is in summer gym still, so we're celebrating in July at WDW. Those pictures of New Paltz look great!
