Yes, that is definitely them. AND that is definitely Newport Beach. I live in NB. This city is absolutely breathe-taking. The views are just awesome. We have only been here six months but every day we love it even more. But that is not the house we see Gretchen in in the show.

The house she's in on the show doesn't look all that spectacular, nor does the neighborhood. I wonder if they just moved her someplace more convenient for filming.

I don't think anyone else has mentioned it but Lynne and her husband arrived at the hotel in a Honda. Now I don't want anyone to think I am dissing people who drive Honda's but it doesn't really fit the image of what a "Housewife" is suppose to be.

I mean, the do-nothing daughter gets a BMW (albeit used) for her Bday and she doesn't have her license yet but the parents drive a Honda?!? No wonder these people are wacked!!

It's a Honda Civic Hybrid. Key being it's a hybrid. The "cool" think in SoCal the past few years has been to drive hybrids - Escapes, Civics, Camrys, Prius, etc. - regardless of how much money you have. My guess is that they have a hybrid as a third vehicle. I own a Volkswagen Jetta diesel station wagon as a third vehicle to drive on long trips/errands. Comfortable, reliable and saves gasoline.

The antics of the "stars" don't bother me usually, the show is entertaining to some degree. The kids are beastly and I do think that part of it is because of the cameras. Lynne and her Hubby are idiots. I hope when they see the show they get a wake up call and pounce on those awful girls, but I doubt it. I'm sure somewhere down the road we will be seeing those girls on BrideZillas or some other equally tasteless, lets show what a spoiled brat we are shows.

I did not feel sorry for Vicky, both Don and Michael were commiserating at the bar about how they were disappointments. To me Vicky was making a big deal about them showing their support for her venture and frankly, they didn't seem all that interested. Yes, she was telling Michael that she wanted him to learn about underwriting or something else equally boring to him, but at the same time she kept saying how they were there to support her. Ummm, I'm confused Vicky, do you want them to learn the business or be your cheerleaders? Since Vicky is so insecure I am assuming what she really wanted was for Michael and Don to be throwing the ticker tape parades on a regular basis.

As much as I view this show as entertainment, I did have a real problem when Jeana and her brat were walking near the park in Berkeley commenting on the homeless population. The comment "it's like being at the zoo, look, there's one and there's one" ........really bothered me and I found it disgusting.

I'm not sure if these shows should run more than a season or 2. The frivilous lives is entertaining but when the show starts to show their true personalities it gets ugly IMO.

Does anyone know what Simon does now that he quit working to be at home more? That had me curious, something is supporting the lifestyle......did I miss something.

We can add end of summer bash to the many parties Gretchen tore herself away from Jeff's bedside to attend. Sadly, if its an end of summer party Jeff died in the beginning of September so he was nearing the end at the point of this party. I wanted to hurl when Gretchen said"Im super bummed" jeff couldnt come with me. As if he was away on business or something-not dying in the hospital. So nice, she found time to buy all the women presents. Yet, Jeff is obvioulsy very devoted to her so if thats how he chose to live out his days, so be it.
These women just have no substance underneath their exteriors. Its sad, really.

I have watched the Housewives since it started. I do love the show. Tamara and her husband are the ones I have the biggest problem with. I don't know if it's the editing but she is really something else. She thinks she is all that and more. Simon drives me nuts. He is so jealous of anyone that gives his wife competition. I think that is why I liked Gretchen so much. She is ten times better looking and Tamara knows it. What did Jo do to her hair? She looked horrible!

Once again Vicki is a self-centred witch! I don't know why someone hasn't just gone ballistic on her....if it isn't about her she just doesn't care. She was so tacky when she said she just would have gone under the radar about her rolex yet she went around showing it off and making sure everyone knew her husband didn't buy it for her.
Tamra......hmmm......un-freakin' believable! So pathetic and her husband is just as bad. WOW, what a tacky duo they are.
I hope Gretchen lets both of these old hags have it on the show next week and that she gets backing from Jeanna, Lynn and anyone else who thinks these two "ladies" have way overstayed their welcome!

Can't wait to see the reunion show!! I swear, Jo and Slade are like a bad rash. And if I hear Lauri say one more time how busy she is with 7 kids I'm going to scream. Yes, people do it every day with a lot less money and some actually have to go to jobs .

I felt bad for Vicki's daughter. That's got to be hard to have your first true love and heartbreak on TV for all of the world to see.

Apparently you can only have one dirty martini with a bleu cheese stuffed olive lover (which by the way does every bar Vicki go to just happen to have bleu cheese stuffed olives?? ), one pink Harley Davidson lover, one Rolex watch wearer, one pink hat wearer per group of women but you can have as much fake ****s and plastic surgery as you want Go figure.

Why did Simon wait until the party to give her that bracelet? I thought that was strange. Gorgeous bracelet but she didn't seem very excited.

I thought last night's show was kind of boring. I do feel bad on how Vicki treats Don (however, he allows it). He must cringe at how she is constantly saying he is not so great on national TV. I would imagine nothing he did would ever be perfect enough for Vicki.

Gretchen, I honestly like her and think that she has a good heart. I thought it was sweet of her to get everyone a "little" gift. It was awful how they were so critical and mean spirited about it. She was just being nice, but they have to be nasty about it.

I cannot believe how jealous Tamra is of Gretchen! She was sulking and pouting and complaining to anyone who would listen that SHE was the one who wanted a pink motorcycle, though she did mention that Gretchen's was red.

Good grief get over it, you just got a $35,000 bracelet. It is clear that Jeff was VERY into motocycles and I think they said he even collected them. I'm sure he didn't give Gretchen the motorcycle to spite Tamra. Honestly they are all so self-absorbed!

Gretchen should be with Jeff more imo. Although I think she is gorgeous and probably a lot of fun, I think her priorities are messed up.

Tamra and her creepy husband need to go. She is botoxed to the hilt and looks creepier and creepier every episode. I think she is a mean and jealous person. She got a beautiful bracelet and she was annoyed and bratty because someone else got something too. What a jealous twit.

Vicki- Oy vey! She is a wreck. I do admit that as a Mom I did feel bad for her when her dd joined the army. I can only imagine that being terrifying for a parent. However, she is so quick to judge Jeana and her choices with her kids yet her son is so disrespectful to her that I want to smack him. That whole cruise ship thing was just mean. If either of my parents where speaking at an event I would go and support them. He is just a lazy bum. Vicki is also completely lacking in self esteem. She needed to show off the watch and tell everyone how she bought it herself? Who cares? If I buy something I buy it because I like it. I don't buy it to prance in front of everyone. If someone notices the item and says they like it I simply say "thanks, I really like it too!"
She doesn't like Gretchen because she takes away from the attention that Vicki tries to get.

Jeana- I like her. I hope she finds a man who treats her well. Allan seemed very kind. She is someone I would be friends with. I think she looks at these other women and wonders why they are such idiots.

Lynne- I think she is spacey and needs to get a clue with her kids but I don't think she is a mean person like the others.

Lauri- Give me a break! If I have to hear about how busy she is with her "7" kids I am going to barf. Half of those kids have a mother thank you very much. The other half are grown. It's not like she is home cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, going to PTA meetings etc. She is busy fixing her makeup and planning her next plastic surgery.

I can't wait to see next week. I hope Jeana sticks up for Gretchen and actually tells Vicki and Tamra that they are nasty and mean women.

Oh- and they all need to lay off the Alice Cooper eye makeup.
