.................................................

The lake, Vegas, lunches, spa days, the Kentucky Derby, the dinner party, the sex toy party, the cuff party, the gym vacation, hmmmm.....did I forget anything? I am all for taking a break to recharge, but what is she recharging from? The last party?
It wasn't the Kentucky derby. It was the Del Mar race track. Other than the July weekend at the lake and the Vegas weekend, I think everything else is just day trips. Over the course of 6 months, I don't think it's a big deal. If you read the blogs on bravotv.com, it is clear that the show timeline is nothing like their real life timeline.

Exactly. I thought it was awful for her to go to Vegas because she had committed to a girls weekend. What about the commitment to her fiancee?

I look at it like it is a work commitment. I know Gretchen was a realtor before Jeff got sick. If she continued in that capacity, she would most definitely have a lot less time to spend with her ailing fiancee. Most realtors I know work 60+ hours a week. But, "Working" for Real Housewives would still require her to actually do something other than sit at his bedside. I think it's a trade off. A couple hours a week of filming a luncheon, spa date, whatever. The rest of the time she gets to spend with Jeff.

Sorry I got the wrong event. Sorry but over the course of even 6 months there aren't too many people who even do as much! Even with all the day trips. Wouldn't she want to be with Jeff during the day?

I don't really think she was a "real" realtor. She sold one house. To Jeff.

Watching the reruns earlier today, I'm glad Tammy is gone. Although I liked Tammy a lot, I could not stand her girls. On the rerun today, they were pushing that OC energy drink. I wonder if that company is still in business.

I never found Tammy interesting.. but I did think it totally sucks that her girls did not get one penny when there dad passad away. His wife at the time- gold digger kept everything - she could have given them money for school- not sure that they would have attended- but he was there dad.

That was sad. Didn't the kids mention on one show that their dad and his friends all had young aisian wives? Nothing against anyone aisian- so no flames please- but it seemed like they eluded to it being some sort of mail order bride thing. I could be wrong but I seem to remember it at some party thing at the father's house.

Interesting article in The Daily Pilot (a section of the LA Times) on how business is booming in the Malls the "RHOC" are shopping in. I had to look twice at Jeana, I did not think that was her.

Show booms business
"Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member Jeana Keough shops for a new dress.
By Brianna Bailey
February 5, 2009

Customers at Intermix, a trendy fashion boutique at South Coast Plaza, have been buzzing about the ’80s-inspired Herve Leger dresses since two cast members from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” visited the store in a recent episode and scooped up a couple of the garments for about $1,200 apiece.

“That curiosity has them come in and they decide they really do like the store,” said Intermix manager Brandy Billings.

Billings helped “Housewives” cast members Gretchen Rossi, an attractive young woman who is engaged to a wealthy man twice her age, and Lynne Curtin, an athletic but aging housewife who dreads growing old, comb through the store’s designer duds in a recent episode.

So last night wasn't too exciting.

I saw that next week is the season finale though. Boy, that flew by. I can't believe it's almost over.

Also, Housewives of NYC begins next Tues at 11:00p with a new housewife and many fights.

I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing did.

Even Bethenny Frankel, in her blog on Bravo, normally so funny, couldn't find much to say. She entitled it YAWN - I have no words this week, but I couldn't wait for the episode to end. I was falling asleep.

Except the show reinforced that so many of these kids (Michael, Kara and Raquel) seem to be so unappreciative and unrespectful of what their parents have given and done for them. And, don't even get me started on stalker-kid Ryan.

Bring on the NY ladies, I always liked them best!

Vicki amazes me weekly...just a few weeks ago she was complaining so much about Jeana's son (the ball player) and now look at her own son. She takes/pays for this 20 something son on this cruise with his friend in hopes of him becoming interested in the Insurance business as HE said he was....and yet he is a big no show to these seminars that she asked him to attend. Vicki BE QUIET your SON is no different than Jeana's! :headache:

Gretchen did seem to have a blast with her girlfriends, reminiscing about their days in college AND I am guessing this is very close to when Jeff passes? :sad2:

I was so glad to see Lynne's Mom watching those WILD girls. ::yes:: That hotel Lynne and her DH were at was AWESOME....."Coronado" in San Diego!!!! I have heard that place is FABULOUS!!! :beach:

And Kara is a BRAT 24/7. Colton did seemed so nice helping Jeana pick out a dress. What was UP with that BLUE dress...the back of it was ODD???? :confused3

Looked like Lynne and her DH were at the Lowes at Coronado. The Hotel Del Coronado has got to be the most romantic hotel I've ever stayed at!

Lynne is still floating down that river of denial! She didn't think the cigarettes were her DD's but DD then confessed to the camera that they were in fact hers. Oh boy!

Very interested to see Jeanna's date. Wonder who shows up in jeans and a plaid shirt in a limo?

I work with someone like that. She said the same thing when she found cigarettes in her daughter's backpack. Yeah sure she is holding them for someone else. Because that is what we all do, right???
Lynne AND her husband need to wake up and realize what a loser their daughter is. Looks like next week they "ask" her (not "tell" her) to get a job.

And Vicki's son-what a joke. He has no respect for his mom. Guess he figures he is just going to get that million dollar yacht without ever having to really learn the insurance business.
Although I never knew you could get so rich by selling insurance. I wonder if that Vegas stripper last night learned anything from Vicki???

I just don't get how these people can put themselves and their kids out there on national TV acting like obnoxious, selfish, stupid, self-centered idiots. :confused3 Especially the kids. I always got rave reviews about my kids out in public. Sure they can be normal little snots at home occasionally (rarely...very rarely...because I couldn't live under the same roof with brats), but I'd be HUGELY embarrassed if they behaved a fraction as badly as these TV reality show kids, and that's without it being recorded for thousands or millions of people to see.

I just don't get it. :confused3

So no one here wants to take Vicki's life course???
Didn't she say something like there would be lots of people there? Then when they scanned the room, it was like 20 or so.I'm surpised she didn't go off and yell at her son for not going to the meetings like when he said he didn't want to go to Mexico with her.

I thought the same thing - it looked like very few people were attending. How utterly selfish of her son not to at least make an effort when Vicki was paying for everything and he had agreed to be there before they got onboard. I think the only reason she didn't raise a bigger stink was that she didn't want any of the people who may have actually attended one of her courses to see what a loser her son is, and that they have such a fractured relationship. It would look like she didn't have it all together.
I think it was the first time I ever felt a little bit sorry for Vicki.

That scene was hilarious. Vicki says they fully expect to have over 1000 people on the next cruise and then the camera pans to the empty room.:rotfl2:

Is it just me or does Vicki's company seem almost like one of those multi-level marketing deals? THe more people you have under you, the more you make. Like Mary Kay or something, only you are selling insurance.
