Jeanna is usually so vocal about things. Sure, she was moving Gretchen's drinks but the camera (I know, REALITY TV... ) didn't show her actively admonishing Gretchen to not have any more. It was more like gentle nudges. I would have thought that she would have, at least, scolded Tamra to cool it with pushing the drinks.

They showed Lynne in a nicer light last night, though that DD of hers is out of control. They know that she is stealing alcohol from their house but they are in complete denial... her friends must have done it. Where are they when she comes home? Can they not tell that she's been drinking?

Did Simon live in GB for a while when he was growing up? He certainly doesn't have a British accent. What DH sends their wife to etiquette classes? Does he really think that she's a complete oaf?

I liked seeing Brian Malarky back on Bravo.

I think Lynn is the biggest Queen of De-nile! WOW! I guess she thinks that if she does not acknowledge that her dd is drinking, then it's not happening. I about spit out my Diet Coke while listening to her talk to her dd about not drinking and driving. Acting like it was NOT already happening. Wonder what Lynn thought when she saw the show and heard her dd in the restroom getting drunk. I'm sure it was a beautiful mother/daughter bonding moment at home.

And Gretchen. According to the show, Gretchen is 30. She's not a teenager and not someone in her early 20's who is still in the "college mode". She's a consenting, educated adult. For her to be drinking like that, is just mind bogeling. The others may have been encouraging her to drink, but they did not lay her down on the ground and pour them down her throat. Gretchen bears full responsibility for that one. Bet she had one heck of a hangover the next day!

Yes, Ryan is creepy. At least his mother recognizes it too. Bet that is why she was keeping an eye on him.

Agreed. Like I said, I've been really drunk before, and I'm an adult. I did it to myself, but none of my friends would ever try to get me wasted. We're adults, not kids! Not to mention, how was everyone ELSE getting home? Everyone had alcohol at that party. They shouldn't have been driving.

That's a very good point. The alcohol was certainly free-flowing at that party. Heck, it even crossed my mind when Lynne and Frank were at dinner that neither one of them was planning to be the "designated" driver. When my DH and I go out, one of us makes sure to only drink one drink. That's usually me. The other usually stops at 2... maybe 3... not falling down drunk, but not worth risking driving home after having a few cocktails.

Wow...tonight was just...wow. I am appalled at Tamra and anyone else that was pushing Gretchen to drink more, drink more. They encouraged her to drink more than I think she would have, which obviously led to her becoming WAY drunk and acting out of control. I honestly felt so bad for Gretchen.

They just lost a viewer. I, too, was appalled. That's the only word I have for it.

I may not have their degree of wealth, but I have my dignity and my morals, two areas where Tamra and others certainly lacking. I watched for an escape and to see how the "other half" lives, but all I was left with after last night's episode was a sick, empty feeling. On the plus side, I have even more of a profound sense of gratitude for the wonderful friends and family that I have.

I usually don't weigh in on them, but last night was horrible. I know much of it is heavily edited, but still..... WOW.

But I too am done watching them, last night was too uncomfortable to watch.

I think Jeanna did say something because there was a sound bite that said Momma Jeanna said no more or something to that effect. They just did not show it.

Tamra is just a jealous witch. Vickie has serious problems. Someone should go back and show her, her WOOHOO moments.

As I said I am very over them.

i tivo the show and was watching the episode where lynn's (? think that's her name) 15 year old is wearing her mother's dress, and my dh walked through the living room right as they showed her talking to her bf in the parking lot. not knowing what i was watching he sez 'hey, i thought you were going to save that episode of cathouse so we could watch it together; man they are scraping the bottom of the barrel if they're down to hiring girls that look that skanky' (for those who don't watch it-'cathouse' is a reality series on hbo or showtime that films at the 'bunny ranch' brothel in reno)


has anyone heard when the new series is set to start airing-'the real housewives of new jersey'? bravo announced they were filming it last year.

last night was very revealing in their characters... only Jenna was responsible and caring by switching Gretchen's drinks with water.. and putting empty glasses in front of her.

Last night was the equvaliant of a college sororiety girl getting another girl drunk so she could be date raped.. and tamra used her own son in the disgusting juvenile sick plot. tamra is one not to be trusted..ever.

As for Lynne and Frank... Lynn needs to quit being so self focused on super fisiciality and make her self beautiful within.

She needs to worry about her 15 year old daughter who is dressing in clothes that even her boyfriend says look like a stripper. I couldn't believe that dress it was so short she was worried about her panties showing when she walked.

Lynne's other daughter was drinking.. that's not kewl. Don't have it in the house. Take the car away. My best friend was killed by a drunk driver her first year of college.. i'm disappointed in bravo for not interviening and calling her parents when they filmed her drunk.

Jenna and Gretchen are the only ones I like.

You could see where Gretchen was stressed about her fiance's health and just wanted one night to be free and forget it all. Tamra is a Bad and Dangerous Person wrapped up in a socially labled "pretty" package.
Vicki is not worthy of the husband she has and has to be the most self centered individual i have ever seen.

And I think the message was pretty clear that Lynne's husband is a Stoner. When Lynne and Frank went to dinner my husband said..what is wrong with that man..is he drunk? i said .. nope i think stoned.

All in all... i felt sick at having watched it. I think that was my last show.
Because when we watch things like that...we are giving them a viable market to sell advertising to and advertising is how they make their money.

So if i remove myself from the marketing bed.. then perhaps they will be forced to modify their content.

Last night's show made me so mad! Tamra is a nasty wench. Sorry but maybe if you chiseled off some of your makeup you could see what a truly mean person you are! I think what her and Vicki did was absolutely disgusting. Vick is a hot mess. She is so insecure and self righteous it makes me sick. She treats everyone like garbage. I guess it makes her feel better about herself. I could never tolerate someone like her. Jeana I really like. I think she tries to strike a balance between everyone and she seems very genuine. Yes, Gretchen shouldn't have drank so much but the others encouraging her to act like a fool was beyond obnoxious. Losers.

Oh- and as for Ryan...YUCK! What pig mother refers to her own child as a Man-*****? She is trash. How about telling your creepy son to keep it in his pants? Yeah, I guess it is cooler to be proud of his man ***** abilities.

As for Lynne and her dh I actually felt bad for them. I don't really think they are stoners. I think that they cannot believe what a bunch of animals these people are. I know that my dh and I would not have much to say at a dinner with that group.

This episode just annoyed me. I don't know if I will be watching anymore.

What a blatant and total mis-representation of the OC!

I am disgusted as is my DH and my (20yo)DSon who walked into the room as they were really screaming and laughing and carrying on like complete and utter FOOLS. How embarassing for all of them when they do indeed watch what fools they ALL made of themselves (except maybe for Lynne/Frank/Jeana).

I have posted this before but I live here in the OC. I live within miles all of these women. Within miles of where they all shop and dine. I actually was in Laguna Beach on Saturday at dinner with friends. While spending an entire evening in the LB, eating, drinking, talking I did NOT see one person all night in this entire LB restaurant that acted like those fools did last night.

This show is making the OC look HORRIBLE in everyone's eyes. All my friends from the East call and whatever it is we are discussing, the conversation always seems to end up with discussions of this HORRIFIC show.

Jerks all of them. AND Lynne's bratty alcoholic daughter

I'm a long-time fan of the show, but last night's episode made me so .

I think what they did to Gretchen was disgusting. I know she's an adult and I'm not a fan of hers, but to deliberately do that to someone is HORRIBLE. They had a plan to purposefully get her drunk so that Ryan could take advantage of her? Call me crazy, but isn't that getting close to committing a crime?

I sure hope nothing happened, but if it did and the show didn't step in to stop it.....

I used to really enjoy watching the Housewives of O.C. After last night I will not be watching O.C., NYC, or Atlanta Housewives. I do not enjoy watching any show that is 90% catfighting and being two-faced (I see enough of that in my day to day life). But I guess whatever Bravo has to do to draw in more viewers. I will not be one of them. I felt like I was in high school last night while watching. Disgusting.

ITA! I couldn't believe Lynne was so entirely oblivious to how skanky she dresses herself. eeeeeeew, alex and her hubby simon are the most classless people i can fathom. when they showed their home during the kids birthday party it was filthy and looked like they had varying degrees of repairs, even the one girlfriend (the chef) said she never fathomed they could live that way let alone invite guests over i felt sorry for their little boy when she said at one point they were only going to communicate with him in a non english language (french maybe?) so he would learn it, then when he would say something incorrectly but whine or throw a tantrum to get what he wanted alex would correct him over and over and he'd have a fit, then finaly alex would tell him he got it right the first time just to not deal with it (i don't think she had a real handle on the language to begin with because simon kept correcting her usage which the little guy picked up and started doing as well ).

the capper for me was on the reunion show when they asked her and simon about the nude photos of her that popped up on the web after the show premiered. they were like 'oh, it's something we enjoy doing together and sharing with other adults who might enjoy them as well' i can handle jeana having done playboy before she was became mom but the whole swapping photos of your naked spouse with other people kink is totaly gross.
