They just lost a viewer. I, too, was appalled. That's the only word I have for it.

I may not have their degree of wealth, but I have my dignity and my morals, two areas where Tamra and others certainly lacking. I watched for an escape and to see how the "other half" lives, but all I was left with after last night's episode was a sick, empty feeling. On the plus side, I have even more of a profound sense of gratitude for the wonderful friends and family that I have.

I agree 100 percent!

I spent most of the episode with my jaw dropped, it was so disgusting. I don't want to watch anymore.

Last night's show made me so mad! Tamra is a nasty wench. Sorry but maybe if you chiseled off some of your makeup you could see what a truly mean person you are! I think what her and Vicki did was absolutely disgusting. Vick is a hot mess. She is so insecure and self righteous it makes me sick. She treats everyone like garbage. I guess it makes her feel better about herself. I could never tolerate someone like her. Jeana I really like. I think she tries to strike a balance between everyone and she seems very genuine. Yes, Gretchen shouldn't have drank so much but the others encouraging her to act like a fool was beyond obnoxious. Losers.

Oh- and as for Ryan...YUCK! What pig mother refers to her own child as a Man-*****? She is trash. How about telling your creepy son to keep it in his pants? Yeah, I guess it is cooler to be proud of his man ***** abilities.

As for Lynne and her dh I actually felt bad for them. I don't really think they are stoners. I think that they cannot believe what a bunch of animals these people are. I know that my dh and I would not have much to say at a dinner with that group.

This episode just annoyed me. I don't know if I will be watching anymore.

Ditto! Tamra is an evil wench! I cannot believe that grown adults act that way! She should be ashamed. Yes, Gretchen should have known when to stop, but what kind of an adult continues to encourage someone else to drink when it is painfully obvious that they need to stop!?

I used to like Tamra... then along came Gretchen and Tamra's true behavior has begun to show. Unfortunately her issue with Gretchen be it over jealousy or something else is really not showing Tamra in a good light. I think Vicki is crazy but I really feel that Tamra behaved alone in her endeavor to get Gretchen "naked drunk". Of course, that could all be editing and Vicki may have been just as bad. True, Gretchen is held responsible for her own actions but she did not go into that dinner party with a clear mind.

The episode was such a trainwreck and hard to watch. It seems it continues on.. I do wonder if she messes around with Ryan (who gave me a super creepy vibe). He seemed like he would do whatever it took to sleep with her.

As for Lynne & Frank - I don't understand why they were invited? I thought Tamra didn't like her?

Add me to the list of finding last nights episode hard to watch. That someone could be so ugly to another human being makes me sick. That Tamra and Simon allowed that kid Ryan to be all over her was sickening. The fact that they all sat there watching her and egging Gretchen get so hammered - disgusting. I know Lynne said a few mild comments about stopping the shots and Jeana took a glass or two away from her, but that was not enough.
Ryan is a total creep! Not good looking in any sense of the word, so Gretchen must have been drunk out of her mind to even suggest he was a turn on!

There is NO WAY they didn't at least kiss while they were in the bathroom. All of these people in reality shows KNOW camera's can't follow them into bathrooms. That's why they can go in there and then deny anything ever happened.

Vicki is such a hypocrite. She can get drunk and act a fool at anyone else's party and it's ok. But then she's giving Gretchen dirty, shocked looks like "How dare you be acting this way during this fancy party full of tequila shots?"

my guess is the network set it up as well-esp. since the chef they chose has a tie in to one of their other shows (he was one of the losers on a previous season of bravo's top chef).

one thing that just struck me was the way simon is making a big issue of about how tamra needs to learn about etiquate, going so far as to put her on the spot during the meal to show the guests what she's learned so far yet he seemingly forgot, does'nt know or chose to ignore a primary rule in hosting a dinner party-to select a menu that your guests will enjoy and will not be offended by. when vickie kept refusing the oysters tamra was insisting she try, simon made a remark to her to stop because they (he and tamra) know vickie does'nt like or do seafood because of the whole dining situation at domaine chandon (when they went on the napa trip together, they chose a prefixe menu and vickie could'nt eat any of the seafood items)-yet he sets up the menu with the chef and they have the oyster appetizers and the main dish consisting largly of scallops and crab legs.

anyone else catch bravo's quick disclaimer that ran in small letters down at the bottom of the screen in between the last scene and next weeks previews? standard tag about underage drinking being illegal and dangerous and it not being endorsed or supported by either the network or the producers ummmm, if they don't endorse it why did'nt they choose to not air that segment-and esp. the audio of the girls in the bathroom pouring more drinks and disposing of the bottle?

It has to be hard for Don, who has a real job, working for a company, and isn't self employed. I have to wonder if that show is why Simon doesn't work for the MB dealership anymore. If I were a business owner I would not want to be associated with that show/those people.

I hadn't heard about a series taking place in Jersey. Could be interesting. Oooh. They could get Whitney Houston as one of the housewives. Another trainwreck!

What a blatant and total mis-representation of the OC!

I am disgusted as is my DH and my (20yo)DSon who walked into the room as they were really screaming and laughing and carrying on like complete and utter FOOLS. How embarassing for all of them when they do indeed watch what fools they ALL made of themselves (except maybe for Lynne/Frank/Jeana).

I have posted this before but I live here in the OC. I live within miles all of these women. Within miles of where they all shop and dine. I actually was in Laguna Beach on Saturday at dinner with friends. While spending an entire evening in the LB, eating, drinking, talking I did NOT see one person all night in this entire LB restaurant that acted like those fools did last night.

This show is making the OC look HORRIBLE in everyone's eyes. All my friends from the East call and whatever it is we are discussing, the conversation always seems to end up with discussions of this HORRIFIC show.

Tamra said in last nights episode why she did what she did. She doesn't believe that Gretchen is really the sweet, friendly person that she wants you to think she is. She encouraged her to get drunk so they could all see the "real" Gretchen. Personally, I think it backfired. We all got to see the "real" Tamra instead. And she is an evil witch.

I really liked this show when it started. It was fun to see all the indulgences these ladies could afford. But now all of the "Housewives" shows just seem to be trashy. Just goes to show you money doesn't equal class.

FWIW, I don't think any of us (I know I don't) think that any of these "reality" shows represent a majority of people that live in an area. Just a small group of them. There's people that live where I live that act like the O.C. housewives.

About last nights show.....

I think it was the producers. They want the OC to be as interesting as Atlanta. I think Gretchen did what she wanted to do. I think Vicki didn't understand Tamra's reasoning. I don't think she had anything to do with it. I don't know why Tamra would waste her time on trying to get Gretchen drunk. What fun would that be?

I thought it was gross the way Ryan was holding Gretchen in one arm and holding his mom(Tamra) in the other arm!!

Tamra should have told Ryan to chill...she's engaged. She should be embarassed by the way her son was acting, not just blow it off.

And I don't see how Jeff's family could say anything, Gretchen was married when they got together and I've read that Jeff has had many many girlfriends.
