.................................................

Tamra and Ryan won't recieve any accolades from me but IMO, they weren't the most disgusting part of last nights episode.

Personally, I found Raquel (or is it Rachel?) drinking with her girlfriends in the bathroom at the bowling alley sickening. The idea Bravo let that be recorded and then broadcast it, it was repulsive to me.

Tamra, Ryan and Gretchen, plus the others at the party, are all grown adults who are ultimately responsible for their own behavior. No one held Gretchen down and poured the tequilla down her throat. She seemed more than willing to suck them down. She should have stopped, she is a big girl and knows better. She was encouraging Ryan and lets not even talk about what she was doing to Donn's arm and shoulder. I don't want to say she was looking for it but she does, in my opinion, bare some of the blame.

Last night's show made me so mad! Tamra is a nasty wench. Sorry but maybe if you chiseled off some of your makeup you could see what a truly mean person you are! I think what her and Vicki did was absolutely disgusting. Vick is a hot mess. She is so insecure and self righteous it makes me sick. She treats everyone like garbage. I guess it makes her feel better about herself. I could never tolerate someone like her. Jeana I really like. I think she tries to strike a balance between everyone and she seems very genuine. Yes, Gretchen shouldn't have drank so much but the others encouraging her to act like a fool was beyond obnoxious. Losers.

Oh- and as for Ryan...YUCK! What pig mother refers to her own child as a Man-*****? She is trash. How about telling your creepy son to keep it in his pants? Yeah, I guess it is cooler to be proud of his man ***** abilities.:sad2:

As for Lynne and her dh I actually felt bad for them. I don't really think they are stoners. I think that they cannot believe what a bunch of animals these people are. I know that my dh and I would not have much to say at a dinner with that group.

This episode just annoyed me. I don't know if I will be watching anymore.
---------------------------

Shoot! I forgot to watch it last night..:headache: Anyone know when I can catch the re-run?

And even though I didn't watch it, I could tell just from the previews last week that it was going to end up exactly as all of you have stated here..

Tamra is a pathetic excuse for a human being and a "friend".. Obviously she is very threatened by Gretchen and will stoop to the lowest of lows to make Gretchen look bad and herself look good..

Vicki is a nut case - plain and simple - and I don't know why her DH hasn't ditched her by now..

What were the previews for next week? I can't believe I forgot to watch it.. Dang!!!

Nest episode...

wassup with vicki and jeana treating lynne like a child? she's probably older than the both of them yet jeana says something to the effect of "don't step on the mama dogs".....WHA?!!!!

i'm sorry but lynne is way better than me....i woulda been put them both, especially vicki, in their places...easy....

Oh and what was up with Vicki and all her ridiculous sibling rivalry....."Mom, you buy things for EVERYONE but ME"!!! :headache: :headache: :headache:

Vicki: "Mom, I love you"
Mom: "Thank you"
Vicki: "That is NOT how you respond to someone when they tell you they love you"...."Mom, do not say thank you", "Mom, why did you say thank you"..."Mom, why didn't you say I love you back"...."Mom"....:headache: :headache: :headache:

OMG, she has so many ISSUES!!!!!!! :headache: :headache: :headache:

To be quite honest, I forgot ALL about that after watching the Gretchen-drunk part! LOL

Watching, what I could, lastnight I couldn't wait to read the board. I just got home so I haven't read all from last nights episode. But, did anyone notice that when Tamra was whispering to Vicki about getting Gretchen drunk, they actually showed the crew member in the background in the shot holding the boom over the table. They usually never show the crew. So, I was thinking that the production people didn't care for that moment to show the footage of Tamra whispering that to Vicki. Do you see what I'm saying? They tape hours and hours. Now if we had never heard or seen that shot of whispering between them and only Gretchen getting drunk........... See it's all about the editing, and they must have had wanted us to hear that to show a crew member in the background. But, I also agree Gretchen is a grown woman, she should have controlled herself. She took the shots. She didn't have a gun to her head. One more thing, if the new girl was a good friend, she should have taken Gretchen aside and at least once tried to tell her. But, it is a TV show.

You are absolutely right, it is about the editing. I was reading the blogs on bravotv.com. There isn't anything about this weeks episode yet. But, Tamra and Gretchen both go into a little more detail about last weeks episode(at the track and the hat party). I hope they blog about this weeks episode. That would be interesting to read I'm sure.

But, I also want to say that Tamra has been different for her 2nd year. She has so much to say about her son, good and bad didn't he recently say he got someone pregnant and they lost it? She was so emotional, and also when he didn't want to be CHP anymore. Then she plays this game. And laughs about it.. yuk....

What were the previews for next week? I can't believe I forgot to watch it.. Dang!!!

It basically ends with Gretchen and Ryan in the bathroom with a "To Be Continued..." on the screen. Then they show Lynne trying to call Gretchen but she doesn't answer so Lynne leaves a VM saying she's just checking on her cause she hasn't heard from her. Then they show Jeanna, Vicki, and Lynne eating lunch or something and Jeana and Vicki attacking Lynne for talking or having an opinion or something like that ;) (cause Vicki prefers all new housewives to be mute).

I don't know why Lynne puts up with all of it. She obviously never looks happy around all of the girls but has to do things with them for the show. She must really want to be on TV or the money must be pretty good (I wonder if she starts out making as much as the other "seasoned" housewives). Or she's stuck in a contract for at least a season or something like that...

My only problem with this is that she told Ryan in the bathroom that she has a wonderful fiance and she was not going to do anything with him. Yeah, she flirted up a storm and acted all sexual all night long as she was getting wasted, but then she said, "no." Anything that Ryan does after that can be constituted as rape.
Vicki is a nut case - plain and simple - and I don't know why her DH hasn't ditched her by now..
My guess is that he probably hardly sees her with his work schedule and his. When he only has her in little sips, it may be easier to stomach her. It's not like he's all over her, doting on her, snuggling her. He keeps his distance for the most part. Plus, he may very well be financially motivated to stay. He's got a nice house and the Havasu house... lots of toys. He may think that he's better off in the loveless marriage than alone.

First off, Simon is not British. Tamra's all 'Simon's British, so now I have to take etiquette classes.' :confused3 Since when?
How do you know he's not British? That doesn't sound like something someone would just make up. Maybe he only lived there for a little while.

What DH sends their wife to etiquette classes? Does he really think that she's a complete oaf?
I didn't get the impression that Simon sent Tamra to etiquette classes, I thought she wanted to do it. She's too dumb to get it, anyway. That was supposed to be a party where people displayed proper etiquette, what a joke!

Ryan is just disgusting. He's not even attractive, I certainly hope that Gretchen didn't end up doing anything with him.

I thought that Tamra said that Simon was pushing her to take the class. Maybe I didn't hear that right.

Your comment about the proper etiquette party made me think of a story I just heard recently. At our CC, the president of a local bank brought some guests to dinner. One of his female guests drank too much and went into the men's locker room. When she was told to leave, she became belligerent because the bartender in the locker room wouldn't serve her. He instructed her to go to the bar off of the dining room. So, even though you plan to have a pleasant, prim and proper evening, your guests often times have an effect on the outcome. Not saying that happened at Tamra's house, because she was obviously an instigator... just giving another perspective on how guests can behave when you have them over/take them out.

There was a bartender in the locker room??

Yeah... the locker room has lockers and evidently the best showers EVER (according to my DH and DS) plus a men's restaurant and lounge area where they can smoke cigars, play cards, watch TV and have drinks and sandwiches. PS, the ladies think they should cut the men's locker room in half and improve the ladies' locker area. ;)

Just a gut feeling, I guess. Like I'm 'Irish.' I'm not Irish. My Grandmother's parents were born there, but I was not raised there. I guess that's what I think she meant. And I don't think there's ANYTHING Tamra wouldn't make up.

You may be right, I didn't think of it that way.

Here is Jeana's blog about this weeks episode that is posted on bravotv.com. I know that Jeana is trying to defend her friends actions. But, reading her blog, Tamra just comes off sounding even worse. Gretchen and Tamra have not posted this weeks blogs yet.

Party Time

Jan 15, 2009 2:57 PM
Gretchen and I decided not to bring dates to the party. Her choice would have been her mother and mine a close girlfriend. But we talked about it and figured it would be easier to just have fun and not worry about entertaining our guests. In hindsight, mom should have been there! We walked into Tamra's sparkling clean, beautifully decorated home and her backyard was just over the top. She was the perfect hostess -- remember she had never had all of us to her house because she was nervous about having us there. Vicki and I are seasoned of party givers and I think Tamra was worried that she couldn't do it as well. Tamra worked so hard for this event to be perfect, taking classes, and meeting with Chef Brian Malarkey. After 3 years of us ribbing her about never being invited over, she jumped in with both feet.

This is the part that gets tricky -- my favorite little housewife has a very nervous digestive system, and from the moment I walked in I knew it had been too stressful to her. Tamra and Simon had worked and planned all day for the event and by party time they both were exhausted. The flowers in the pool, fire and waterfalls made her backyard look magical. Tamra hadn't eaten all day and she was really on edge. One cocktail later she was starting too loosen up and have fun. She held it together for the 3-hour dinner, but then she just was drunk and ready for the night to be over. She was the perfect hostess until she and all the others drank too much. The camera crew seemed to delight in how drunk everyone was. I had words several times with them to wrap it up and leave but they wouldn't. Even I felt the effects of wine tasting -- it is hard to judge how much you drink when you keep getting a new glass with each of the 7 courses.

Tamra and Simon threw a great a party. We all had a great time -- I hate to let a few drunken comments ruin what was the best party we have had together. I loved the coziness of all of us sitting together. At Vicki's and my parties people seem to just mill around and never get to spend much time with each other. Simon was the perfect host, ordering cars for everyone and not letting anyone drive. His tequila is lethal, as all will attest to. Gretchen doesn't remember half of the things she said, and neither does Tamra. Normally cameras aren't recording your drunken comments. When they all woke up the next day, all that was remembered was a great party. Until we saw the episode, none of us realized there was so much drama.

Earlier that day Gretchen had been told that Jeff wanted to come home to die, and that he had given up his will to fight his cancer. Gretchen needed to let loose and have some fun and take her mind off her troubles. She was very needy that night -- she was the center of attention and maybe the attention should have been on our hostess, who had worked so hard for us. I am giving a very drunk Tamra the benefit of a pass on this episode -- editing and alcohol made it look a lot worse then it was. It was a great party and we all had fun. We have all been together several times since then and are all on friendly terms. We may not all be best friends, but this year -- with cast members being in and out of hospitals, rehab, kids in college, traveling to New York together, and Jeff's death -- we all became closer.

After reading Jeana's blog, I don't believe there was a "rape" committed but I do think Bravo enhanced the drama with creative editing!

Bravo's motto is "Watch What Happens" and we watched, right? :)

Jeff Dies!!!! OOOhhh Noooooo

ETA: I did not know that he died in September 2008... Wow.. where the heck have I been ?? I guess I joined the band wangon too late.. I assume the episodes I am currently watching are Re Runs.. since Jeff is alive and in the Hospital currently...

I was seriously hoping he would recover enough so Gretchen & Him could get married.. :sad1: His daughters really like her, and Kids, always know who is Best for their Parent.. As much as some dislike her and her flirtiness.. I know Jeff loves her and she loves Jeff.. I mean she did spend most of her time with him in the hospital or on the phone with him when she isn't there..

We only get to see an hour long episode with more then half of the day cut out of it and too many people make assumtions of what happened..

Hi,

No, you aren't watching re-runs. It's just that the show was taped several months ago, so in TV time, they haven't gotten to it yet. The news about Jeff has been on the internet for a while. That's how I heard about it anyway. So, you aren't behind, you just spend your time more wisely than trolling the internet for random info. LOL!!

FWIW, I don't think any of us (I know I don't) think that any of these "reality" shows represent a majority of people that live in an area. Just a small group of them. There's people that live where I live that act like the O.C. housewives.

Amen, almost embarrasssed to reveal this, but I live a few streets over from Jeana and Vicki and I can attest that most of us "housewives" DETEST this show and how it portrays us. These women are basically the current villains in our community and are gawked at everywhere from the grocery store to restaraunts to TJMaxx! Everywhere has these wacko type of people, some just aren't stupid enough to decide to air themselves on tv for the world to make fun of! :crazy2:
