2027 Member Cruise

I totally missed this announcement (the only email I received on Jan 15 from DVC was a thank you for my dues payment) and just stumbled on this post yesterday when I realized it was about that time of year.

As a west coaster, I see positives to this itinerary. San Diego is a short and relatively inexpensive flight and I am sure the special excursions in San Francisco will be magical. I’ve been to SFO, but never visited the Disney Family Museum. I also understand those that find the itinerary underwhelming and April is not ideal for me.

However, having experienced my first member cruise last year I feel the FOMO already and will be considering it. We will see what prices the points chart brings. Since the Wonder is a smaller ship, do we anticipate many categories will sell out quickly?

(Edited to add…please excuse the outdated resort icons in my signature line. 🤣)

Can you get the Disney Chase Visa? It'll give you 6 months no interest.
It should, but payments made to DVC member cruises, AdB, etc, are billed as "DVC Travel Reserve." In 2024, this gave us the 6 months financing, but in 2025 it did not (and we called Chase and they basically said that it wasn't coded to receive the financing when it hit my account so that I would not get the financing offer).

Uhoh, thanks for that unpleasant reminder! Did you deal with DVC as well? Do you have any contacts at DVC for us to write to now to ask them to correct this? We can’t be the only ones who would want to use our Disney Visa for the 6 months no interest!

@CDKG, I know you and others had problem getting Chase Disney Visa 6 months no interest on a recent Member Cruise booking but eventually prevailed. Can you share contact information for DVC that we can use to remind them to make sure the same snafu doesn’t occur with booking the 2027 MC?

Yes, this was a 6 month long ordeal resulting in countless phone calls, emails, and messages to both Chase and DVC before it was resolved. Eventually Chase owned up to the mistake (it was definitely on their end).

If you have any issues, you need to speak to the DVC supervisor team. One of the Senior Supervisors (who the DVC supervisors report to) was tasked with advocating for members by working with Chase to resolve the issue. Inially they told her it did not qualify because it is a charter, but then they finally found the mistake.

It did take me one more call to Chase two months later to finally get them to process the refund of the $400+ in interest I had incurred.
