2027 Disney Summer Cruises

From the ABD link someone posted here it looks like the Wish will do the EBTA and go straight to dry dock.

I think it’s a good thing if they keep rotating the ships in Europe especially if they want to keep doing the short UK sailings, and I think it’s crazy they didn’t try that for Australia, especially as the Magic has been on the West coast during their seasons there.

I wish they would make the Europe season a few weeks longer though!
it’s been reported the Wish is being listed on the Mediterranean port list for next May. Not sure if going directly to dry dock is the case.

Sorry, can I just make sure I am understanding what you said correctly, you believe the Wish would do the EBTA, go straight to dry dock and another ship will do the Europe season?

Thanks :)
No, the Wish would do EBTA, then dry dock (gap from end of EBTA to next ABD looks to be around 2 weeks) and then the Wish does Med cruises after the dry dock.

The EBTA is likely to start on April 25th. The Wish appears in Gibraltar on May 5th and they are traditionally 13 nights so I’d assume the EBTA ends in Barcelona on May 8th since Disney traditionally do Saturdays there.

The first ABD pre cruise thing they are offering is for May 19th-22nd, with the cruise likely starting on the 22nd. This year there isn’t a gap between the EBTA finishing and the ABD pre cruise things being offered, but next year there seems to be a two week gap. I suspect that two week gap is dry dock which would mean no major refurb.

I wish that DCL would offer longer European cruises so that it was worthwhile to make the trip to Europe
Airfare is higher too but staying longer would many make a desirable vacation!

My family has found if we stay in or near the port city a few days on either end (or both ends) of the cruise, it is worthwhile to travel to and from Europe even for a 7-night cruise. Barcelona, Copenhagen, Rome, and London had way more that we wanted to do than could fit in a single day.
