They were awesome!! The WINTER OLYMPICS are my favorite!
Congrats to all of our winners and competitors. Everyone can always claim they were an Olympian!
I'm watching the Exhibition Gala of ice skaters right now and they are all so happy ice skating, doing their own thing, no pressure, just doing what they love!
I watched almost every single afternoon/evening. I can't wait for the Men's hockey tomorrow. GO USA!!!
A big shout out for Women's Hockey!! Who knew curling would have its own channel and be on television constantly. Good for them!!! I watched and it looks like fun. I know curling has taken off in my area. To anyone who can look down a mountain and want to ski slalom/ giant slaloms, dear lord, where do you get that courage? All the snowboarders are so acrobatic, it's just amazing! Watching the cross country skiers/ shooters etc. proves they are very athletic people. I know why some were collapsing as the crossed the finish lines!
I'm going to miss all this entertainment next week and can't wait for 2030!

CNBC… first in curling worldwide…

Having spent the fall 🍂 🍂 watching figure skating.... I am worried about the two youngsters....as they continue their pursuits... never been as invested in two olympians so it made this Olympic s special. though also Yuma....catchy name he has

My dear Dad was a big olympic fan and I was blessed to be at the Montreal games (way back when). The thing I always love to see the "loosing teams " so you know how much better the really, really great teams are.

I've always considered Olympics "obscure sports" seriously, in real, everyday life, how often to you think... Gosh when's the next Biathalon tournament? Or Curling? or speed skating... too many to name. I should've taken up obscure sports earlier!

We've enjoyed watching the Olympics, especially the figure skating competitions. DMil was a huge fan, so it always reminds us of the fun we had watching with her through the years.

After watching the snowboarding events, I thanked my kids for never putting me through that experience. :scared1:

I admit I just watched the curling events and the ice skating, and loved them both. Also watched the last ice hockey game between Canada and the US. What an ending. The winter Olympics have always been my favorite. What wonderful athletes!

Was so fun! Curling is my favorite to watch. Of course had to watch ice skating, hockey, and didn’t miss the Jamaican bobsled team 😜

What an exciting Hockey WIN for team USA!!
I also loved the wonderful sportsmanship that happened throughout the games. That's what it's all about!
I, personally can't dwell on those who did otherwise... Enjoying the closing ceremonies now! THANK YOU ITALY!!
Sadly at this point I am very disappointed in the USA men's hockey team.

Sad to see the mens Hockey team willingly join in on mocking the woman's team and also shouting political statements about Canadians in the locker room celebration. It is a negative and sad finish to what otherwise would have been an inspiring win.

I hadn't heard about that - very unfortunate. Don't a bunch of them play for Canadian NHL teams? :confused3 And the women's team was in the stands to support them!

Think it could have been better, if they are going to show 4 hours of curling every night could they at least tell us how the scoring works. And was it Red Buttons who use to about bust out of his seat when someone made a great jump, could have used a little more life out of the announcers

I watched a lot of the curling matches (games?) and most of the time, early in the match, they would give a little refresher on the rules. Scoring was the easiest part to understand, especially since it was like bocce on ice. ;)

I got “olympic-ed out” by the last weekend. Didn’t even bother watching the gold medal men’s hockey game. I did watch the Closing Ceremony.

I did see events in every sport, mostly live but some recorded.

If you watched enough curling matches, which maybe you didn't have the opportunity to, each announcer(s) had their own way of doing it. But scoring was usually mentioned multiple times just not necessarily cut and dried like you may have wanted.

Most of the time between Mixed Doubles and Mens/Women's scoring could be explained as it came up because the positioning of the rocks. Strategy then came into play in describing how the points would be from not blanking the end (no points scored for your team and loss of the hammer or last rock shot) in Mixed Doubles to wanting to blank in the end in order to maintain the hammer in Mens and Womens. They did a good job of explaining how the pressure measuring stick worked and when it was needed.

I don't remember his name but there was announcer who I appreciated would use arrows drawn on the screen for what he would assume the play was to be reflecting either the direction of the stones or the hit that would then result in X. None of the other matches I watched with other announcers did that but I did find it helpful.

While I enjoyed the mens and womens curling I have to admit the strategy, game play and timing (doesn't take as long to complete a match) is more enjoyable to me with Mixed Doubles. And if you watched as many matches as I did I kinda got tired of hearing "if you just joined us in curling..."
