Did I read it right ?! They are waiving that 1 person in the reservation needs to be in reservation points. I was wondering if they were going to keep that rule when they did that on the DVC inaugural Wish cruise. Paying cash is the way to go !
I think it was only for the Wish that they did that, right? I think they were maybe trying to get rid of the glut of points in the system as a result of the pandemic. Cash is definitely the way to go.Did I read it right ?! They are waiving that 1 person in the reservation needs to be in reservation points. You haven't had to use points on member cruises in the recent past, not sure about pre-2018. Wish inaugural is not a member cruise.Did I read it right ?! Yes, I know. It wasn't waived, using points hasn't been required in a while at least for member cruises. Just for the inaugural and mostly due to covid points everyone had stacked.Meant the DVC members only Wish cruise

If you click the link, you'll see it confirms what I just said. It says: "This voyage is not a Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise event."https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/destinations/list/cruise/dvc-charter/
July 19, 2022 DVC Member Cruise
Ah ! Therein lies the small print - also they don’t include some of the things associated with the members only cruiseIf you click the link, you'll see it confirms what I just said. It says: "This voyage is not a Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise event."
In contrast, the below link is to the actual 2022 member cruise and it does not require booking on points. There has been zero policy change between 2022 and 2023.

For the 2023 DVCMC? Not yet.Any indication on cost or points?
Thanks Bobbi. I really want to see the ship. For the 2023 DVCMC? Not yet.
Just called this morning to ask the same question as I will be on the Fantasy and it is a sea day. The only person that can book for you is a registered account holder. So if your husband is listed on the account and not in the park with you the he could make the reservation. The option offered to me was to add to my account a (associate account holder) have them do the booking then delete them from your account once the reservation was made.I just realized that the day to book the 2023 Member Cruise is my first full day of my WDW trip and I will be in EPCOT. I cannot imagine being on the phone for hours while in EPCOT. A TA can't book this for me, can they? What other options might I have?
