2022 9-Night Southern

We really wanted this trip but the economics just don't work. We grabbed a 7 day eastern in early Aug. With two older teenagers it was either stuff ourselves into 1 verandah room for 9 days at $16k or do a 7 day cruise in two verandah rooms for $12k. at $2k a day extra and lose the second room..... just couldn't get over that mental hump. We did the southern last jan/feb (2020) and it was great. Hopefully 2023 has a different schedule with the Wish in operation.

Yeah, I just can't get past that pricing. Can I afford it? Yes. But do I see my family getting $15k of additional value out of this cruise compared to the 7-day E. Carib? No.

It may also just not be showing up for a particular party size... that has tripped me up more than once!

Keeping my fingers crossed this cruise is still available to book tomorrow. It's crazy expensive, but my family has been waiting for almost a year to book a summer 2022 cruise and we REALLY want to try the Southern Caribbean for the first time. I hope Elaine Edwards is able to work her usual magic tomorrow for us.

We are sailing to Antigua in October. What do you recommend doing there?

we are on that cruise too. I booked the sightseeing tour, maybe 4x4. We just can’t lay around at the beach all day. We have never cruised to Antigua, but did fly there 30+ years ago.

we booked island safari 4x4 and beach. The beach stop is only 30 minutes. We were going to do the amazing Antigua adults, but choose the other one because it was a little different.

We're doing Amazing Antigua (A26). The tour is about local culture, history, buildings, etc. Exploring the islands is our favorite thing to do on any Caribbean cruise. Like @n2mm, I can't lay around on a beach all day. This will be our second cruise to Antigua.

We are doing the Antigua Sail and Snorkel. We have done this excursion with this company on Celebrity in 2018.

We did Eco Tour with Adventure Antigua and it was amazing. Here's the link to our trip report with a full report of our day: https://www.disboards.com/threads/b...wonder-from-puerto-rico.3790200/post-61521274

We are going to go with Adventure Antigua again at the end of the month and try their Adventure Islands tour. I'm hoping it's just as amazing. Especially as I've talked a large chunk of people on our cruise meet group into going. They added another boat just for people from the Fantasy!
