What role does Gary De'Snake do on Zootopia 2?

Ever since I got my Gary De'Snake plush I am curious to know more facts about him and I would like to know what role Gary De'Snake has in Zootopia 2? Is he a villain or is he a con man like Nick Wilde was in the first Zootopia film? I also saw clips where Gary De'Snake tries to make deals with Pawbert Lynxley but Pawbert and Gary don't see eye to eye. Is Gary De'Snake an enemy of Pawbert Lynxley? I also discovered that Gary De'Snake is voiced by a comedian who made a huge name for himself as a commercial actor

Well, it might kind of spoil the movie to know as it is all very integral to the plot. The character is quite interesting though.

Gary De'Snake is absolutely crucial to the story and as others have said, plays an absolutely crucial role in the story. Knowing too much about his character/arc definitely spoils the story. He is in a classic clear my name story. It has some very noir elements that I absolutely loved. You think he's a criminal, and he does try to commit a crime, but it's necessary to prove that a much larger crime and a vast conspiracy had been committed and is being upheld by the wealthy and powerful.

You should really see the movie. I liked it better than Zootopia. I would love to another season of Zootopia+ (which I also liked better than Zootopia). In this second season I am hoping to see an episode focusing on Gary De'Snake's family. Actually now that I think of it, you could do an entire season of Zootopia+ focusing on how the characters we know and love interact with the new reptile residents. It would still be stand alone character focused episodes, just with a larger overall theme.
