2022 9-Night Southern

Yeah, my TA just got back to me and said a 5D with two adults was coming in at ~$10k. That is twice what I am paying for a 5D on a 7-night E. Carib.

I understand it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, but I will pass on the 100% mark-up.

Thanks Tinkerone...Just did the same for 6B and $9180.44 for 2 adults...crazy high price plus this cruise in in July...If I am going to the Southern Caribbean islands my 1st choice would be in the winter months and not summer but understand the Disney way with summer time prices and kids being out of school.

I loved our southern cruise last Jan from San Juan, perfect time of the year plus got to go to allot of islands the regular cruise dont hit. I found the price to be OK for that even with Air Fair as we found Southwest to be pretty reasonable with just one stop (and of course free bags).

As for Antigua we loved that place so much from our cruises we booked a 8 night stay there and I was supposed to be on the beach right now. But Covid and other things going on with our planned trip (booked last June) made us have to cancel, got a full refund though so in the end it worked out, except for not enjoying Jolly beach right now...

So yeah a 7 night Cruise on the Fantasy on a normal Eastern or Western along with an 8 night trip to Antigua would be about the same (from my pricing and travel choices, yours may be different) price as a 9 night southern on the Fantasy...I know I would do the 2 vacations vs 1 any time for the same price.

Concierge prices for 2 adults, 3 kids

03A 2A3K $28,306
02B 2A3K $43,500
02A 2A3K $56,112
01A 2A3K $75,349
Thanks for posting this, both here and in the price thread. The 02A price was about what I expected, if toward the high end of the range. The 02A price seems absurd. I know it's about tying it to the 01A rooms, but that's a big premium for a room that, on its own, is less desirable than the 02B rooms in my opinion.

I don't know if the bigger verandah is worth $1400/day.

We sailed the 11-night SC in 2019 (my fav cruise so far).. we were on cat 4E extended verandah and it was around $900 per night (2 ppl).. I expect the 2022 9-night SC to easily be around $1000 per night, if not $1,100.. don't know what category you're looking to book but I'd expect a 10-15% increase on the SC itinerary .. will reply to this on monday after I book to see if I was right.

Well, I booked the 9-night SC. wowza did prices ever go up.
Turns out, I was short on my estimate.
Price per night on this itinerary is $1,450 . Same category. 4E, extended verandah, but 3ppl (2 adults, DD16)

I am not eligible to book until tomorrow. Since it opened this morning, the 02A rooms have gone up $1800 based on the email I just received from my TA. I hope there's one left for me tomorrow.

The 02A suite (12000) is still available.

Can I ask the number of points for this?
I don't know. They never gave me a solid answer (which I don't like). We had about 1800 tied up in points since March of 2019. Somewhere we got FCCs but don't know where or how many. With this 9-night cruise, we still have about 500 points plus FCC to book another 2022 cruise before Sept 2022 deadline (for FCC). And I can't find out how many points we are working with until we are ready to book. So I need Plan B, Plan C, Plan D ... until I hit one with the correct point, which I don't know what they are!!!!!!

Sill 5As left? Looking for deck 9. Can't book until Wednesday

I wish they would bring back the January, Southern Caribbean. Those were so economical and a great time of year to go.

Less so as the years rolled by but it did seem they kept them priced a little lower to make up for airfare, taxes or maybe they really just were never as popular? I don't know how that could be though - they are by far our favorite as well and everyone who has gone raves about them. :cloud9:

We just booked an 8A. Not sure if we'll keep it. For our family of three it's $11,844.66 We have a lot of FCC (and we'll have even more once our June Fantasy cruise is cancelled) but that's still $$$$$

We have an OBB on our June 2021 Fantasy cruise so when that's cancelled we could reshop, but still, I just wish they would cancel our cruise. They cancelled the cruise just prior to ours. That 10% would go a long way!

We really wanted this trip but the economics just don't work. We grabbed a 7 day eastern in early Aug. With two older teenagers it was either stuff ourselves into 1 verandah room for 9 days at $16k or do a 7 day cruise in two verandah rooms for $12k. at $2k a day extra and lose the second room..... just couldn't get over that mental hump. We did the southern last jan/feb (2020) and it was great. Hopefully 2023 has a different schedule with the Wish in operation.
