2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Its not run by disney though so they could just be speculating with no real information.

And since Disney has just provided a totally different start time it's apparent that while DFB has great sources it's not always 100 percent accurate.

Actually I think the complaints in this case should go to Chase not Disney. It's a perk for Chase cardholders and Chase should be the one notifying us.

And a KEY word on the Disney park blogs site is "limited"

Last year and the year prior there was a lot of unneeded hysteria because "event x is sold out and the CM says there will be no more seats released for the general public" And in EVERY case there were more seats released.

Overall the training the CMs get on this is pathetic IMHO so assume they are just making it up :)

IT is interesting that the Parks Blog still does not mention the Premium Package.....

From what I remember last year, a couple of people did manage to get PFTS WVL & Reserved, but it seemed like they released about five tables per night for early booking.

I don't recall anyone being shut out if they called right when the phone lines opened on the first "general" day, though.

I had to "upgrade" to WVL for my PFTS and I was on the phone at 7 AM Of course it took over an hour to get to a human. And then I had to cancel (Thank you to the nice CM who decided my mother's breast cancer surgery was a good reason and gave me a refund!!)

Yeah, as far as good reasons go, I'd say that would be on the list. Hope all is well now.

I just need WVL 10/28 for two people... so I'm crossing my fingers that I can get it on the 19th & not have to call back with the masses.

Thanks, she has done great! :) I am still debating between reserved and WVL. I have done both. Logically I KNOW WVL is probably overpriced, but it made it such a special experience. And the way my schedule works this year there may not be many other events. Decisions, decisions. I guess by Tuesday I better decide just in case. (If I can get through to Disney by 9 I can book Tuesday if there are seats!, if not I had already blocked Thursday morning LOL! )

I thought so to ,because it's only a week away for the general public to book so I would assume they would at least mention it, at the very least I would like to know its coming back so I can keep that money set aside for it.

I see their schedule but he's not listed on the WDW schedule. So either he's a late addition and WDW hasn't updated theirs or he recently dropped out and DFB hasn't updated theirs. Arggg
Duff was listed on the official www site earlier this week for the 28th. They must have just removed him from the list. :(

It's absolutely overpriced, but it's the experience we like best. Oh well!

Nooo! :( Sorry for those who were planning to see him.

Unless I am missing it, there are no special events going on in September for F&W, correct?

Does anyone see where Geoffrey Zakarian, Maneet Chahaun, or Morimoto are appearing? I don't see them listed individually anywhere?

Last year, you could book the culinary demos, beverage seminars, and mixology sessions. Some of the other events, like the food and wine pairings in Italy and France, had limited availability. You could book PFTS but only general admission. If you wanted a reserved table or the wine view lounge, you had to call back with everyone else. Who knows what you'll be able to book this year!?!?

I find the 9:00 am start time on 7/19 questionable as reservations generally start at 7:00 am. If I were calling in the 19th, I don't think I'd wait until 9:00 am.
Actually, I was able to booked reserved PFTS last year on the Chase early booking date, I booked nine F&W events, I believe, on the call. I was told there was limited number of seats available on the early booking day.

There is no PFTS, French Family Meal Traditions, Culinary Adventures with a Master Chef, or Parisian Afternoon in September, but there are a number of other special events available:

Trader Sam's, Secret of Flavor, Beverage Boot Camp, What's Cooking with, Mediterranean F&W Pairing, Morocco F&W Pairing, Italian Regional F&W Pairing, Parisian Breakfast, Mexican Tequila Lunch, Hibachi Experience, Japanese Craft Beer Tasting, Tokyo Pairing, Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining, Cheese Seminar, Rockin' Burger Block Party....... I think I got them all! ;)

I have a specific question regarding Eat to the Beat. I have never been but I am very excited about seeing a particular artist. I have heard that if it is available you can choose a FP+ for one concert showing per day. If I am able to obtain one, how far in advance should I arrive to wait in line? I am also in a wheelchair. Thank you!

I noticed the same thing. There are only multiples of 3 at the typical beer booths. I am thinking they will cut the beer flights to 3.
Yeah - I noticed this as well :( - I also noticed on DFB where they talk about the drink sizes that they mentioned "But there may be a BIG change in 2016. Stay tuned for all of the details!" - so maybe they will have an option of a larger beer. Kind of annoying when there is a good one and all they have is a 6oz.

Zakarian is doing what's cooking with .....on Oct. 30th

Maneet Chahaun is "appearing" at the Burger Block Party on 9/30. No info as to what "appearing" entails. Morimoto's participation hasn't been announced. My guess is he may be part of the PFTS featuring the Disney Springs chefs.

Has anyone gone to the Burger Block Party Before? I am tempted about it but debating between that and Club Villain. thanks
