2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!

Yes. Booking the offer today is limited to room availability at each resort. Disney has to fill the rooms, that is why they offer discounts. If all the standard rooms are selling well, no need to offer them at a discounted rate. That is why the most availability with these offers is higher priced rooms. This is why having an existing reservation hurts this offer. People book in hopes of applying a discount later. This gives Disney a false impression of how many rooms are actually sold. I'm having a hard time finding a RO one night reservation. Even the All Stars are showing sold out, which has never happened in the past. And yes the website is acting up for me, too.

Just for clarification in regards to booking early. I understand that it reduces the need for a discount at all, that's obvious, but people have other reasons for doing it, like you and 5kidsmommy. However, if someone were to book early just for the sake of having a reservation to quickly add free dining to, there are no guarantees there right? I mean, for example, POP standard rooms weren't available first thing this morning with my dates. So if I had booked ahead of time I would still be subject to the room type limitations that were there for new bookings this morning, right?

I hope this makes sense.
Does not matter if you already have an existing reservation, it would not make a difference.

I have been trying the website all morning and all I get is "server is down". Wth?!

I got to modify my existing at 7:30am with trouble but it did it. But I've tried calling since 7:20 and I only have heard a busy signal and now I can't do anything online I just get server is busy. I'm glad I snagged what I got but wasn't exactly what I wanted.

I've been able to access the site on and off all morning. I've never seen a server down error (just been trying here and there). I'm using Chrome.
 
TA can't get through.

I can book the package I want, I have it in my cart, but I can't modify my existing reservation.

Can I just book it again and have the TA cancel the other one?

WIll I lose my dining reservation? I made them, not the TA, but they do have the reservation number I will cancel
 
I am just catching up on posts. Happy you at least got a foothold at the POP . . . something for now. I was up at 5:30 am, saw what I wanted online but then decided I needed to wait for my TA's office to open at 9am as I had told her I would call her and book with her. Eek! Hard couple of hours to wait & wait . . . However, long story short, she got me what I wanted at about 9:30 a.m. . . . POP standard room at the end of October/early Nov so I am very happy with the outcome. Aubrav, sending you lots of good wishes & pixie dust. You were incredibly helpful and kind to people on this thread. You and your family deserve the very best of luck with your ressies. :shamrock: ps I would consider AS Sports to save $400. That's a good amount of change to pocket for one value vs another value. POP is nice but $400 is something. And Sports is first up with bus service in the morning. Not bad!

POP doesn't share buses with anyone, so direct rides trumps the sports rotation and crowded busses :p

Earlier I couldn't get through on my land line...but my cell phone worked...weird I know. But maybe that is the key?? I was on silent hold for over an hour however, I just didn't give up! I was able to get through online too at that time. I was able to book CBR water/pool for 10/25 - 11/5 with FD! Hope this helps. Good luck..sending lots of pixie dust.

Book it. She can cancel the other one. ADRs are not tied to your package, they're tied to your MDE account. You won't lose them.
 
Seems like I'm getting further... baby steps lol... I can now see the room categories for Pop, but I can't click on them...

AHHHHHHHHHHH, I MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE CHECKOUT PAGE and then I think it froze. It still shows Woody with "Please wait while we complete your request" but the page isn't showing as loading anymore. :sad1:
 
Well no free dinning for us :/ Does anyone know if non buffet restaurants if the kids can share off their parents plates? My kids are small and don't typically eat their own meals anyways lol I usually split meals between the kids that way we don't waste food. But is this allowed?

FYI all AOA free dinning is gone- tried everything lol

I booked new reservation at 4:30am EST and was able to modify my current reservation with no problem.
Except for CBR saying QS Dining on my email confirmation, everything went smoothly for me.
Sorry others are having so many problems

Deleted. I thought you said buffet restaurants.

If you don't have the dining plan, you can split/share meals however you like!

I believe so as long as you are not on plan. We did one time back in 2010 no issues. My kids were little then
 
I really hope CBR is worth it. I was all for doing a value but I was overruled by the guy paying (hubby) and the birthday girl (daughter). I've told her though that since we are staying there we are going to be using the amenities. I am looking forward to some hut tub time. :)

You should be fine! The resort went through a major renovation in the last year and I heard it looks great (and they have Queen beds now too)! The pools are great (both the main pool and the quiet pools), and the resort is beautiful! I hope you get time to enjoy the hot tub!

"Please wait while we complete your request..." We're almost there!!!!! And if Stitch screws something up now, when we get there in August I'm gonna throw a cupcake at him!

So thankful I woke up early today. Was able to book POP right away. I stayed with the quick service dining. If I wanted to, I can still call and upgrade to Regular without loosing my room correct?

I upgraded mine and they were just able to add it to my plan. They gave me a new total and I was on my way. That was at 7:00 a.m. this morning.
 
I DID IT! I AM THE KING OF THE WORLD! I officially have All Star Sports standard booked in lieu of POP reducing my balance from $3120 to $2744. Now I can be excited and unstressed! And thanks to all of you, I can be excited about the choice to save money instead of stay at our preferred resort!
