The Parisian Breakfast must have gone over very well with guests. Last year I was able to book it on a whim just a couple weeks before my trip the last week of October. Just tried calling to book for the same time of year and there weren't any available spots. I assume once F&W events fill up they stay filled up, but has anyone had any experience with people cancelling and being able to book events that were previously full?

I had the same question. We are going oct 24-29 and all of the events I called to book last night were sold out. We just booked our trip last week on a whim. Guess I missed the boat :(

Has anyone successfully scored tickets to a sold out event by continuing to call DD? Or any advice from the trenches for newbies like me (this is my first F&W trip) to try to get in? The CM I spoke to said they sometimes open up new "sections" if events are getting lots inquires and that their system tracks every time they search for availability for a particular event.

Thanks Joshua for posting and thanks to the pros for any advice :)

In past years I did get a few things after seeing online that they were sold out. What is it you were looking for? Many of the premium events did sell out the first day.

And if you are still unable to get reservations after repeated calls, it's never a bad idea to check with Guest Services, at the resort and the park, when you get there or the day of the event. They may be able to 'find' something as well. :thumbsup2

Was just reading the Disney Visa Rewards newsletter and noticed the following regarding a couple of booths. (Bolding is mine)

The Puerto Rico marketplace is back by popular demand, and both it and the Brazil marketplace will be serving up new ambience and entertainment experiences.

I don't think I recall any "ambience" or "entertainment" at these booths in the past so am wondering what this will consist of. And still wondering where they are going to fit all of these marketplaces plus the ten premium package areas plus areas for the general public.

Guess we will see soon enough! Can't wait!!

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I just noticed a bit ago and haven't had a chance yet to read through the entire posts. I did not see this info on page 1.
Has anyone else seen that The Commodores have replaced Rick Springfield for the Eat to the Beat concerts??? I saw this on the Disney site today.
We are huge F&W fans and will be there actually a month during the festival. So, is this true info??

I think a was quite a few years back when they may have premiered the Puerto Rico booth as more of an 'area' towards the right as you entered the World Showcase. If I remember correctly they had the food booth, a daiquiri stand and a small seating area ??? Does anybody else remember this area? ... Or was it actually a Caribbean area? I just sort of remember getting a decent sized frozen banana daiquiri on my way towards the UK pavilion.

Rick Springfield has been removed from the listings on the Disney website. It hasn't changed on the first page because I didn't know about it until just now. It doesn't list any replacement for him that I am seeing. so I think we can confirm that Rick is out but I am not finding anything about his replacement at any source I actually might trust.

Thank you kindly for the advice! Have a great day!

Thank you for your reply. Our wish list is:

Parisian Breakfast at Chefs de France
French Regional Lunch at Monsieur Paul
Italian Regional F&W Pairing Luncheon at Tutto Gusto

Crossing fingers!

i'm trying to be super organized about this. i've copied all the food items for each pavilion and country, then making a list of where they fall as we walk around Epcot. i don't want to fill up on things that are so so and then miss some super yummy items down the road. i have all the regular pavilions and their food items mapped out. Just need to get a map of where the other food booths will be stationed so i can map them in. We plan on sharing plates so we can maximize how many samples we can taste. i think this will help us from standing in lines, only to get to the front and discover there isn't anything we wanted at that booth.

I would love to get a copy of your list. Last year we missed some food that we wanted to try. Your list will really help! Thanks

I'm waiting to make sure the Commodores are truly going to be there. We are scheduled to check in the day after, but if they ARE playing then I have to add a day to the trip and check in a day early. My husband grew up listening to the Commodores so no way he'll miss an opportunity to see them. Just really want to make sure! The Disney link I posted has been updated because it did show Rick Springfield there before. Guess the best bet will be to see the official sign at the theater, huh?!

Really, you want to see the Commodores? I changed my trip dates to see Rick Springfield. I had front row seats to see him 33 years ago and was really excited to see him again. Now I'm bummed. Anybody know what happened?
