2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

A question, I couldn't find the info anywhere I looked so far:

Where exactly the kiosks are? Scattered around the WS or on that small area right on the WS entrance?

Also, I find kinda funny the "Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Onions, Avocado, and Cilantro"... Why avocado? You don't eat feijoada with avocado! I'm very curious to try it though, never ever thought of mixing those two haha :goodvibes:

Here is ALL the food and drinks in Booths!

Thanks for the link! I've never been down during the F&W before so I am mostly just staring at this list in awe having no idea what to plan to get. Maybe there is such a thing as too many choices... :goodvibes

Easywdw has a good review with a lot of pictures of a lot of the selections from the past. That helped me narrow down some stuff! :)

We are making our first visit to F&W & would like to know about how busy the last two days (a Sunday and Monday this year) should be. We are going with our three kids and are interested in trying some food at the booths (don't care about the drinks). Our plan was to go from about 5-9pm Sunday and most of Monday. I know weekends are typically crowded and nights are especially so. Also, is there any risk specific items will run out by this point?

We are considering - if crowds on Sunday would be crazy - skipping it for Sunday and just doing Monday, when we could be at WS by 11am, so crowds would not be as bad as Sunday night. I know there is the Wine and Dine half marathon that weekend also, which surely makes crowds worse. Thanks for the help in advance!

The Sunday will be super busy ... The Monday will be very pleasant. (Our experience from last year). We still enjoyed Sunday, but it was crazy packed.

Several of the kiosks ran out sporadically, but had more several hours later .... And things that were 'sold out' on Sunday all day were available on Monday.

Hi, My DH and I will be at WDW from 9/17 to 9/26 and we will be visiting Epcot for Food and Wine several times.:cool1: My DD may be able to come for a few days but would have to leave on the 19th (first day of Food and Wine). She would have a late flight out so she could be in Epcot till about 4pm on that Friday. I thought I have read in past years that Food and Wine booths were OPEN the day before Food and Wine begins?? (So the 18th would be a PREVIEW day.) Is this TRUE?? If YES are they all open ?? Trying to do my best at planning :). ANY input is appreciated!! Joan

We are headed to F&W during the first week of October and will be going on the most recommend day (a Tuesday). How many booths could we reasonably hit between 11 and 12:30? We have reservations at Via Napoli at 12:45 for those not into the booths (about half our party). Also, after how many small plates, not dessert, would someone with a small appetite start to feel full, understanding that everyone is different? Thanks!!

If you all plan to eat at Via Napoli I would recommend no more then 2 booths.

I often have lunch or dinner at Epcot. And 3 booths is about my max per "meal "

They have been open in the past but..,,

They don't always open right at 11. They don't always have everything. They closed early.

I've been having a tough time figuring this out too ! The portion size isn't clear from the photos . When you say 3 booths max per meal are you talking 1 item at ea booth or ?

Last year, a meal for me was 2 savory items from booths plus one dessert item, or 3 if no dessert. That said, DS8 had the same number of portions! YMMV!!

I agree. Two savory items and one dessert item is like making a meal out of two appetizers and a small dessert at a restaurant. That's enough for me.

Thank You for the reply :) If she is able to fly out LATE on Friday we will go to Epcot on Friday. If not we will have to go Thursday and HOPE for the BEST with the booths!! Joan

The kiosks are scattered around WS.

Here is a link to a scan of last year's guide map. It's a little hard to see, but each number corresponds to the approximate location of a food booth.

...thanks for the link! :thumbsup2 Okay, I don't want to sound like a dolt, and it may have been asked already, but the kiosks aren't offering any 'free samples' or 'free tastes', right? You have to pay for everything you want to try, and it's still not very big servings? :confused3

TIA! :thumbsup2

Oh, it's still Disney ... Not much is free ... So yes, you pay for all the 'samples' ... No, they're not real big, but they are quite tasty!

If you're on the dining plan, you can maximize things by using your snack credits on most things as well!

....that's what I'm banking on.....;)
