2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

As TDC Nala However, you can look at last year's price list to get a general sense of the prices (especially for the items that are appearing this year that were there last year). I'd add a bit (maybe 25-50 cents) because prices to seem to go up each year

That's exactly what I did and then used them to also guesstimate the prices of the new things and I came to the following totals: $171.70 to eat ONE of everything I want, that final total will quite a bit more as I can never have only one lamb leg. Total to have one of every drink I want $195.75

Before anyone gets concerned that I might explode or be one of those "frat house" drunks I will be at F&W EVERY weekend for the entire festival, and yes I have already apologized to my bank account in advance

This will be my first F&W! DBF & myself want to try one thing from each booth & 1 drink from most booths. We estimated close to $400. We will be there for 12 days & sharing a lot so that we don't get completely trashed :P

I am glad I booked the premium package. This new one don't seem worth it at all to me.

Begin the daylong festivities at the VIP Lounge hidden within the Festival Center at the Wonder’s Retreat. This special tour includes Champagne, a beverage tasting, six-course tapas-style lunch, wine, private backstage tours, time on some of the most popular Epcot attractions, food and beverage pairings with Disney chefs, VIP seating at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, reserved seating for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks spectacular and more. Whew!
Sip, taste and enjoy as you travel World Showcase at Epcot. You won’t want to miss this extraordinary celebration of all things culinary, the grape and brew as your Disney VIP Guides accompany you throughout, highlighting special moments not everyone gets to experience.
Occurring rain or shine Thursday and Sundays on select dates September through November, this private tour lasts six and a half hours and costs $399 per person (21 and up only). Call 407-WDW-TOUR (939-8687) for reservations. You can also access the online VIP Tour Services brochure here for more info.

Have fun!! You are going to love it. I normally make the trip solo every year this year will be my Honeymoon so my Husband will be with me but I go in with that same attitude. I want to try everything! A tip that works for me is that I like to break up my day I will head over to the WS for lunch walk around for a few hours and eat and drink. Then later in the afternoon I will head back and do it again. I am surprised by how much ground I can cover doing that. I also give myself $100 a day for the festival. If I go under then I get a New Dooney or some art from the festival welcoming center. If I don't then I am having a great time and don't care :goodvibes

In 2012 I was lucky to take advantage of the tour they had with Epcot Head Chef Jens. I had met him a few years earlier when he was the chef at California Grill. I was there with friends from Germany, and he made an extra effort to come out and speak with us. Now my friends and him spoke German and I had no clue what they said, but I still was impressed with his interest in what guest had to say about his restaurant.

The tour in 2012 was a real treat, and it was not offered again in 2013. If I recall, it was only offered 1 day a week for only 10 guests. It was really an honor to spend several hours with Chef Jens during this tour. Comments at the end of the tour was how difficult it was for him to get away once a week to do this tour, but he really wanted to offer it again in 2013. When it was not offered again in 2013, I figured he just could not work the logistics to do it again.

This VIP tour does not sound that it guarantees Chef Jens to be part of the tour. If it did I would sign up in an heartbeat.

I like that you had a good experience:thumbsup2 Thats one reason why I don't feel there it's not worth it to me. They really don't give you much information, I wish it was a bit more detailed. The money isn't the reason I dont want to do it but the generic description, although I should'nt be hard on it that is how they seem to do everything :goodvibes

Well seeing as Ilive 10 mins away from Epcot and literally could go every day but the I would probably be the size of Spaceship Earth :rotfl2:

Also I totally plan on eating more than one of everything so if you get there and Australia is out of the Lamb or Patagonia is out of the steak skewer its probably because of me so sorry for that as well in advance lol

We are only doing 1 full day in Epcot, but we will be starting or hopping to Epcot almost every other day of the trip. I am SO SO SO stoked! We have been saving for this trip for a long time now.

Lol! I planned on sharing everything with DBF but some of those dishes sound non-shareable ;)

I'll be there the first week of the festival, are the crowds pretty heavy during that time? :yay:

My F&WF pre-paid events are now showing on the MDE website. I printed a hard copy so I have the reservation numbers and the price I paid documented. Just in case. The app shows the reservation but NOT the pre-paid price. I took screen shots from the app as a back-up. Hopefully there won't be any issues and I won't need any sort of documentation, but I would rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

I didn't read all of the posts, so this may have been answered, but I have a question.

My husband collects the country beer mugs, is it still possible to get these during F&W or is the only option the generic F&W mug?

Thanks!!!

Last year, most of the countries had the plastic collectors mugs.
