2014 Christmas Gift idea list for TEEN GIRLS

Thinking of making decorated memory boxes for tickets stubs for teen nieces to go with a movie gift card. Their are several examples on etsy. Would teen girls like this? My girls keep all types of little memorabilia but I wasn't sure if that was just them and they are a bit younger. I would try to drill the top with a slot so they can just drop the ticket stubs in as they get them so it wouldn't be complicated. Just not sure if it would go over well.

I also think it depends on the teen but that being said, most girls I know would love this. My dd has all of her concert ticket stubs on her cork board along with other little things that she keeps for memories. I think she'd really like this.

Right now for dd I've got

1. 5 shirts
2. 1 pair of shorts
3. 1 dress & skirt
4. 2 bathing suits ( we live in central FL & she swims pretty much all year)
5. Chair for her room from Pier One
6. A bunch of Monster's Inc stuff & a big stuffed Mike
7. Perfume
8. Volleyball
9. Football gloves (she plays flag football)
10. bible
11. Socks & hair bows
12. 2 sets of pj's

A bunch of nail polishes, lip gloss and other make up.

I think I'm done but I need to see what all I've got for her little brother & sister. I like for them all to have the same amount of things

All DD17 asked for is a hair dryer. So far, all I've bought is the Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel starter pack. We just got back from WDW, and she really didn't want much.

I think a struggle I have is she goes to a private school with a dress code so she isn't CRAZY for clothes but likes them ok and she has been the same size for 3 years so she has plenty b/c she doesn't outgrow anything! She NEVER gives me a Christmas list except did say GUITAR and surprise me..I like the list and can't say enough about ETSY. I have gotten more unique stuff there!

I just wanted to make sure we didn't miss the starter pack for 1/2 price. I'm still hoping for a deal on the Wii U. I read somewhere that ebay was going to have a bundle deal on Cyber Monday. We DO have a Wii, which she LOVES, and Disney Infinity is her favorite game to play on it.

I bought her some clothes online about an hour ago, with her input; so, if she doesn't like them, it's her own fault...lol. I still need to get her a couple of cute scarves and at least one pair of boots. I wear business clothes 5 days a week, so I have NO clue how teenagers dress-she usually wears t-shirts and jeans. I'm trying to remedy that.

She's a very laid-back, no-fuss kid, so gift buying for her is HARD. She doesn't wear make-up, isn't picky about her clothes, and isn't into the boy bands, taylor swift, etc.

Our Dd;s sound very much alike! Mine does wear a little make up but prefers video games and iphone and music and guitars to anything else in life....So she is tough! How many musical instruments can one have? Well apparently plenty. Thanks for the tip on the WII U if you see a good deal can you post? I bought the 10 percent target giftcards then used red card next day for additional discount so I rationalize I got the 299 set for 255 with the discounts but then had to buy the Zelda games separately anyhow! so if I can beat my 255 deal I would love to!

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy at home spa type products for a teen. She is 16 and loves to paint nails, do facials, and other smell good bath type stuff. She said she wanted anything like that but I do not really know what a good brand is that has some variety and fun for a teen.

Great! They are GONE everywhere. I stockpiled a few sets b/c I always seem to be that go to person with my friends I had got one of each not sure which I would give DD and then she saw the lego magazine and loved them ALL but loved first night the best.....

I really am trying to stick to a budget but it seems to be very hard this year. I think it is the fact that all her gifts are big gifts and all I can think about is how bare the tree will look. Stick to your budget. Honestly I have made that mistake in years past and end up returning things after Christmas that were impulse buys...I usually get one big impulse buy (for her it is the WII U) and then the big gift she wanted was a 400 guitar!. I then try to farm out accessories to family members to buy for her! I did of course get more things for her but I am guilty of wanting a full tree with only one child else looks bear. But we go to both sets of grandparents so I need to rationalize this to myself and not worry what the tree looks like. Guilty too!
