I've actually seen where people who suggested doing this took an empty pull along suitcase and put the case if water inside for easy transport back to the resort!
That is a fantastic suggestion. Adding that to my tips file.
because I am a Disney planning spaz. I just found out that in 10 days I can book (room only) for my 2015 trip.
I can not wait. I can not wait I can not wait.
Is a standard room at club level ok, or do I need garden view? We don't care about the view as much as the walk to get to the pool/bus ect.
Thank you for answering my questions.
crap. now I need to see how much more garden view is than standard.
More links- these will give you some additional samples of Standard View vs. Garden View.
I started up two
View Threads in the Resort Photo Subforum:
Beach Club Room Views
Yacht Club Room Views
The purpose of these threads is to give some samples of rooms in various view categories (standard, garden, lagoon/pool) at the Yacht and Beach Clubs.
Please note that we generally do not recommend that you request a particular room number for your stay at the resort, but instead let the room assigner know what is most important to you:
Full Balcony?
Close to Elevator?
Close to Lobby/Pool/Transportation?
Daybed?
If you request a particular room number, and that room is not available on the day you are checking in, the room assigner may not know the attributes of the room you want, so you may not get the room that best suits your needs.

1) One of the advantages of booking a GV CLUB LEVEL BC room is that all of the rooms in this category (currently) have full balconies
2) I had a SV Club Level room at the Beach Club in 2010. A few doors down from the rooms/views Shari showed. I had views of some of the upper Illuminations fireworks and a really nice, but distant, view of the MK fireworks.
Hi there... I was only able to get the Tomorrowland Dessert party for an evening where we had planned an "off" night and maybe do the pool or the Boardwalk (our morning will be filled with Animal Kingdom). I was wondering how long you think it would take to get to the MK just to go for the dessert party, and if it would be worth it. Or, would it be shorter to get to the Poly for the fireworks on the beach (not sure if they do that now anymore with the new construction). I keep trying back to see if another reservation will open up, but if not I want to have a plan
Thanks!!
We did the dessert party in July- loved it! We had spent the morning in EPCOT and headed over to MK around 5 or 6.
The bus ride to MK is 15 minutes, plus any wait you have for the bus.
It is tough for others to decide if it is worth it for your family to go just for the party.
I don't know what the situation is with fireworks from the Poly beach during the construction. I suspect the views are limited.
It really depends on what you want. If as you say the view is not that important then a SV will be fine. We had 2 connecting SV rooms in the dead center of the front entrance of the resort. We had a view of the main entrance, the BCV, and Spaceship Earth. We could also see the fountain in the lagoon. We were just a short walk to the CL lounge and the elevators. We were happy with our view. Here are some pics to help you see what a SV could be.
Thanks so much for those fantastic pictures.
Would you mind posting these to the BC Room Views thread (or give me permission to do that). I know you have some view pictures from a villa posted on that thread.
Thanks, again!
