SO EXCITED!!!! Just booked a last minute cruise on Disney Fantasy. We leave April 5th for 7 nights. So I will not be in the lobby on April 6, 7, 13 and 14. I'll be back Easter Sunday. FANTASY AND CASTAWAY CAY ... HERE WE COME!!!!!

Teena - Sounds wonderful! Have a fabulous time. We look forward to stopping by BC for a visit either Easter Sunday or Monday.

Hmm, am missing something here?

We used to get an itemized bill e mailed to us and also a resort survey.

We left on the 23rd and so far we have not gotten either of these.

Should I contact guest services about the bill?

Yes, contact Guest services about not getting an emailed bill. This problem is not resort specific but rather seems to occur from time to time at any resort. I think the problem lies within the centralized computer system.

Guest services will be able to have a copy of your charges emailed to you.

As for the resort survey's I have not gotten one in the last couple of trips so I don't know what's up with that....

What a great and informative thread! This will be our fourth trip since 2009 with the kids, we have stayed at the BC, POP, POFQ and now YC (July 15-21 stay). I am really looking forward to being back in this wonderful area.
My question is; Is there a quick breakfast place on the YC side? I know about the BC Market place but I thought I read that there was a place on the YC side but I cant find a menu, I even checked allears, unless I am just missing it.
Thanks so much

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1 (Post 15)

:cool1:

The Ale & Compass lounge, in/near the YC lobby, offers coffee, tea and a continental quick breakfast of pastries, muffins, fruit, cereal I think in the mornings.

I'll post the link to some info here in a minute.

Hello everyone! I enjoy reading this thread and have learned a lot about our favorite resort- the BC.

I'm a FL native and grew up going to WDW. In fact I've been there over 40 times in my life as my mom and I would go 3 to 4 times a year. These were great memories.

Last year we were finally able to take our 3 daughters (ages 11, 9 and 4) on their first trip. In April we stayed CL at the GF and in July we stayed CL at BC. We all decided that the BC was our favorite and where we will always stay when we visit.

:welcome: to this thread and posting on the DIS.

Hope you are able to return to the BC soon!

:woohoo:

Dee I remember being so overwhelmed planning our trip to Hawaii too. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for the offer! The info you have provided already has been very helpful. Main issues I am having now are 1) finding the time to do any research and 2) A major scheduling mistake on the Big Island :furious:

I will probably be in touch with you in a few weeks when things quiet down for both of us! I know this is a busy time for you, and I am in the middle of two theatre productions (Music Man opens tonight for my son's middle school drama club) and Night at the Wax Museum, featuring both Ben and me, has rehearsals all next week and 5 shows next weekend.

We had an itemized bill emailed to us on the morning that we checked out, but on two recent trips to the WL, they didn't send one. I had to call the billing department, which is open 9am to 5pm EST Monday - Friday. I have two phone numbers:

billing department 407-939-6244 and 407-828-5630

WOW!!!!! Fun!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Winner! Winner! : pixarmom!!! I chose black with tan interior. Now I get to see how many suitcases I can put in the back for our WDW trip! :)

I can feel a trip to Walmart coming on to buy the new Frozen DVD!

Nice!!:cool1:

Well my 7month window is coming up... We're supposed to be arriving on 10/31 first night at the Waldorf and then moving over to CR for 2 nights... I'm now thinking we should arrive on 10/30 for 2 nights @ BLT before moving on to CR cl for 2 nights followed by 6 nights YC cl ending with AKL cl for 5 nights.... This retirement trip is out of control right now :confused3 At least I'm having fun planning! I guess I'll decide when I see if I can get 2 nights at BLT :thumbsup2

What would you do?!?! That's probably a silly question to ask a group of Disney fans!!

~N

Well, I vote for the 10/30th arrival at BLT...:thumbsup2

natebenma - If you would be so kind as to put us down for staying at BCV from 10/5-10/10/14 in a 2br. This will be our 2nd stay at BCV and it will immediately follow a first time DCL trip! :thumbsup2

A question for frequent BC/BCV/YC visitors...has anyone tried the spa for a massage at Ship Shape? During our trip Oct, 2013, DW walked over to Mandara at the Dolphin but if the massage services at Ship Shape are just as good, why walk all the way around the lake?! TIA for anyone's comments.

Dee that sounds like a crazy schedule for you. Only 19 days of tax season left and I can't wait for it to end.

I keep telling myself vacation is not that far away. Fingers still crossed for clearing the wait list for BCV but time is running out.

So excited, I was able to get reservation for the Star Wars Breakfast and I also made reservations for Beaches & Cream :-) can't wait to try they cheeseburgers :thumbsup2 Only 62 days !!!

Please don't feel bad... You did a Fantastic Job with what you were able to find out and we really appreciated your effort!

~NM

Thanks. I'm glad that so many people liked my reports.
I had fun doing it. :goodvibes

I'll try to get a few pictures posted this weekend. It always seems to take a long time whenever dealing with photos.

Whenever I see reviews of resort-specific activities or amenities, I ask for permission to post the info on the first page of the thread. Here is the info provided by Nannette previously, along with the other info in that post.

Spa and Beauty Salon:

Price List, July 2013

Niki Bryan Spa info and price list
Reservations: 407-934-3256

Here is a link to a coupon (expires December 2012): $50 off services at Disney Spas
The coupon lists the Spa at SSR, and is expired, but it never hurts to check if there are any offers out there!

If anyone has reviews of the spa or beauty salon, I would love to post them here:

I've done the mani/pedi at Periwigs.. DD has had a massage at the Ship Shape Club. DD said it's the best massage she's had and she's had a lot!! I forget the name of the girl, but my daughter said she was so good that she actually went back a few days later for another! The mani/pedi was not what I'm used to... I always have that done before I go to Disney. I have however had reflexology at SSR and that was pretty good.

We got up early for our Keys to the Kingdom Tour. That is where the motor homes for the stars of The Middle were located. Each of the five family members got their own motor home. I saw the actors that play the father and oldest son walking through that area. Everyone else on the tour was listening to the guides talking, but I was watching the actors. ;) The guy who plays Axl turned to look at us. I waved at him and he waved back at me. That was fun. ::yes:: Our tour group was standing near Patricia Heaton's motor home. She was walking right toward us but looking down at her smart phone, not paying any attention to us. Teena told us that famous people who don't want to be bothered will walk with their heads down like that, which is perfectly understandable. We were on a tour, after all, and not supposed to be watching the TV stars. ;)

You really picked a good time for the the Keys to the Kingdom Tour! So jealous! Can't wait to see that episode of The Middle.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora will be closing September 30. Reservations can be made up until then. A new restaurant concept will open in its place this fall.
I for one am happy to hear this. I've had good breakfasts there but the one and only dinner there in October was the worst dinner I've had at any restaurant in any place in the world. McDonald's was better!!!! Close It Down!!!
Bring back Spoodles! We loved eating there. We have never tried Kouzzina and looks like we weren't missing much!

Rebecca
We never ate at Kouzzina simply because the menu always looked yucky. :lmao: No way my kids would have eaten there. We did love Spoodles. Hoping they have something very good in the way of family eating.

Do you need a reservation at beaches and cream for the kitchen sink? I was going to take my son when the mood striked.

I have a question regarding the MB and gaining access to SAB. Not sure if they have added the ability to scan a MB for access to SAB so do they scan the MB to gain access or will we still be issued a card that shows we are staying at the BC. I hope the MB is all that is needed I don't want to have to keep track of a card also.

Getting excited about our stay in a few weeks. :cool1: Especially after is snowed again this week!
