All the women vote Pearl and all the men say black. I'm going to look at them side by side and try to decide tomorrow. I know I'll probably second guess myself no matter which I choose. :)

First vote - Pearl! DH ALWAYS buys a black car so I NEVER buy a black car! How are your plans coming? Can't wait to hear EVERY detail!!!! We are headed over to the "other side" for Easter break. DD needed a "do over" since she was sick the whole time we went to Universal in 2012. The good thing about Universal is you can only stay four nights and do everything! Automatic FP is the best thing ever. Especially since I'm so nervous about the FP plus! I'll beep the horn when we are going through Lumberton!

Robyn- we are going to be in Disney for Easter and week after, but staying at WL. I am now hoping we will love it and I don't break down and miss Y&BC. You and I are getting closer to being at Disney at the same time! One of these days we will actually be at BC at the same time. Have a good time at that other place. I am trying to talk DH into going for a couple days for the August meet.

Also my BFF is in Orlando for a conference and just ate at Yachtsman and sent a pic for me. Very jealous I am.

Rebecca

Had to add - just love "The Middle"! Can't wait to see that episode.

Of course I'd really love it if Modern Family went to WDW!

I know you said WDW and I agree, but you did see their Disneyland episode, right?

Well, I have a black vehicle with light grey interior and i still love it over 7 years later. That said, it came down to it and a pearl one with tan interior. They charged more for the pearl which was fine but the extra on it was a towing package we didn't need and the extra on mine was all weather mats which could be used.

Glad you are doing well enough to be car shopping and hope whichever you choose provides a great ride to Disney.

OMG - that would be so great if you were at the August meet! We've come so close. . . Almost made it the one year until dd broke her leg and we had to postpone the trip by a few weeks.

I'll be thinking of you at WL - and sending you secret "DIS" signals (similar to bat signals)! Have a fantastic trip!

Yes - saw the Disneyland episode. That's just a day trip - would love to see a real "trip" to WDW. Loved their Hawaii trip.

What's funny is that I was going to vote black!
I tend to always drive sterling silver/gunmetal gray cars, so I err on the dark side.... Like the YC!

Haha Scott!!!! My last car was silver too. Must be a common theme for the dark side since we're BOTH YC Fans. ;). Hmmmmm, makes me think: which would look better with the YC decor! LOL!!!!

I have picked out the new car I want but am having trouble with the color.

~The lighter color will not get as hot in the sun.
~It also will not show the dirt as easily.
~Lighter colors also have better visibility on the road, especially at night! ...And finally, all the hot babes drive pearl colored vehicles!! ;)

Tomorrow is our last day at the BC. We are getting on the Magical Express after lunch.

We got up early for our Keys to the Kingdom Tour. DH was willing and ready to go this morning. :thumbsup2 We had to be at the MK by 8:15am and we able to catch a bus at 7:20am. We were at the MK in about 20 minutes with plenty of time to walk around. We saw the cameras down in the hub, the area where the partners statue was. By the time our tour went past that area, there were big white screens, lots of lights, and the actors who play the family in The Middle were waiting to film their scenes.

The KTTK tour was very interesting. We had two guides, one was the "detail" person and one was the "color" one. There were too many things we learned about to really go over here, but I'll mention a couple of them. We had our own special ride on the Jungle Cruise. Instead of listening to the usual corny jokes, our guide took over and described some of the secrets and facts about the ride while we traveled through the attraction. We continued through Frontierland while the guides talked. There was just tons of stories we heard and information we learned throughout, and it was really interesting. We also went behind the scenes and saw the parade floats and the huge buildings that are the sound stages for the Pirates and Splash Mountain. The giant water tanks for that ride are there.

We had lunch at Columbia Harbor House and then went over to the Haunted Mansion. We got to ride that one, too. We spent some time in Liberty Square, then on to the behind the scenes area of Main Street USA. That is where the motor homes for the stars of The Middle were located. Each of the five family members got their own motor home. I saw the actors that play the father and oldest son walking through that area. Everyone else on the tour was listening to the guides talking, but I was watching the actors. ;) The guy who plays Axl turned to look at us. I waved at him and he waved back at me. That was fun. ::yes:: Our tour group was standing near Patricia Heaton's motor home. She was walking right toward us but looking down at her smart phone, not paying any attention to us. Teena told us that famous people who don't want to be bothered will walk with their heads down like that, which is perfectly understandable. We were on a tour, after all, and not supposed to be watching the TV stars. ;)

Then we went down into the underground corridors. It was interesting but to tell the truth, by this time we were all ready for the tour to be over. It was six hours long when you count the half hour lunch period. But we enjoyed it very much, even my husband enjoyed himself. As we were leaving the MK, the filming for The Middle had moved to the front of the train station of MK. I think it made the tour a little more exciting to add the TV show filming to it. :goodvibes

We got back to the BC around 2:30pm, visited with Teena a bit, and learned a few more secrets. ;) We had just enough time for a nap before heading off to Downtown Disney for La Nouba at Cirque du Soleil.

This time my husband agreed to take a taxi to DTD. We walked out the door of the BC and over to the valet stand, where we got a taxi that had just dropped off some passengers. We were at DTD in 15 minutes. DH thought that worked out very well. :) We grabbed another cab back after the show and stopped at the Crew's Cup Lounge for our second dinner there of the trip. Their cheeseburger is fantastic and so was the clam chowder. :goodvibes

We are planning to spend some time at Epcot before getting on the ME for our trip back to the cold north. We have been so busy having fun that we haven't had a chance to ride DH's favorite Epcot ride, Spaceship Earth. And I'll have a final chance to get a pink grey goose slush before going home. And the shrimp and grits are high on the "must do" list, too.

It has been a great trip. :goodvibes

I haven't been able to get everything done on my "to do" list, but maybe there are some other people who can help Ninja Mom out with "Shower gate". We just haven't had time to get over there.

I'll post some pictures and information about our room later. It is back to work on Wednesday, which is always tough after a vacation, especially since all my work waits for me. :faint:

1) Black. Tan interior.

2) Another summer dismeet!!! Do you have a date yet? We have an APs. Just sayin . . .

3) Was in Disneyland for the Modern Family taping. Our boys said hello to Dylan on Main Street and talked with Phil and Cam in the lounge at the GCH. Our photos, however, are horrible. This is all we have:

Great report! can't wait to do that tour with DD and DH! We love the MIDDLE too! Would have been fun to see that shoot....So glad you had a great trip!

Home by 7PM last night, whirlwind trip. I think I'm done for a while and know that Jeff is. FP+ is now a nightmare, no way to move things around day of to accommodate unforeseen troubles (my back problem to be specific). I think over two days we rode less than 5 things, but that is no biggie, with as many trips as we have had we don't need to ride rides every time. The weather was very nice, temps and humidity perfect. Rude people are another thing though. The family from Hades on Saturday night put a bad taste in my mouth for sure.

The suite, where do I begin, it was incredible! Of course this just spoiled us even more though and there's no way I would ever book something that extravagant if paying for it! Being on a different floor from the lounge is a little awkward, especially when not all elevators go to 5. The offerings were nice, what we were able to experience, did not get by thee during the appetizer offerings though. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I even think I saw Teena as we were leaving yesterday morning. There was a lady in the lobby but I didn't get a good look at the name tag.
Other than the bus nightmares (40 minute wait for a MK bus on Sunday morning when there or four AK buses came by) BC is perfect. Jeff says next time if it comes down to a bus he's driving. But also after our miserable drive home yesterday with my back he also says next time we fly!
Remember, Suite 2511 if they offer it to you is wonderful. DOn't be put off when they say that it's hearing adaptable, Never noticed anything at all!

Unfortunately, DH& I won't be able to get back there before it closes. This info came in an DIS update email this morning:

Kouzzina by Cat Cora will be closing September 30. Reservations can be made up until then. A new restaurant concept will open in its place this fall.

I for one am happy to hear this. I've had good breakfasts there but the one and only dinner there in October was the worst dinner I've had at any restaurant in any place in the world. McDonald's was better!!!! Close It Down!!!

Bring back Spoodles! We loved eating there. We have never tried Kouzzina and looks like we weren't missing much!

ITA-loved Spoodles :thumbsup2 Kouzzina just didn't do it for us :(

Spoodles had the best breakfast potatoes ever!! We miss it also, but I sincerely doubt it will come back :(

I think they should expand it into an upscale counter service location.
