We're supposed to get another 3-5 inches tonight. At this point, I don't think I can handle another snow day while sober. I honestly think the August trip I'm planning is a direct result of this winter.

I'm sure this snow has led to my increased intake of wine. And probably the trip planning too!

I will be at YC from April 4-12...can you add me to the BOG List? I will stop by and say HI TeenaS....You are an amazing wealth of information...Thank you so much for all your help..I do a lot of reading on here and not too much posting.

I am very nervous about staying at YC..never have been there, and we usually have a much larger room, but we booked CL room...no suites were available...Hope my 15 and 12ds's and 9 dd with dh and I have enough room in those rooms...I thought this resort would be good for my kids...

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Thank you. The wheezing and cough are actually better today. Still there but not as bad. And my spirits are way up ... got over feeling sorry for myself and now I've decided I'll live with it as best I can and still enjoy life to the fullest!!!

The two bedroom suites at the BC are really nice and would give you the room you are looking for. Did you check to see if they are available for your dates?

The CL rooms at both the YC and BC are the same size as non-CL rooms. Only difference is they are on the fifth floor.

If you usually book a suite, the cost of two CL rooms at the YC or BC would be comparable to the price of a two bedroom suite so that might be a consideration for you. If you are accustomed to a suite, staying with three kids in one little hotel room will not be very comfortable IMO.

The YC and BC are the same resort ... same managers, same CMs ... we can work either side but most of us have our preferences and bid them accordingly. But it's all one resort. The main difference is the décor. The BC is light and airy and always has a noisy crazy lobby. The YC (also known as the dark side) is very much like you would like a yacht club would feel like ... dark woods ... the lobby is normally quiet and sedate. Room sizes are the same. The YC has full balconies throughout whereas the BC balconies can be full or little bitty standing balconies. So if you find you can get a two bedroom suite at the BC, I would definitely switch over!

So it started out as an awful day when my 5 am flight was cancelled. I flew standby and actually was the last standby allowed on the new flight ! Made it to Orlando the same time the other flight was suppose to land . Phew... Made it Arrived at BC about 90 minutes ago and as I was walking through the second set of doors about to turn right to go to the check in desk I hear a guy running and saying my name. I turn around and a wonderful CM with an iPad tells me to follow him to check in upstairs!!!!! I said but I only booked a standard view and he said and you have a standard view just on the concierge floor :) can you say pixie dust . DH immediately wanted to add days but I reminded him that we only have a one night stay because BC is totally booked . I will however enjoy my 1 night and 2 days at SAB
That is so awesome!! You will love it! I haven't been on this thread much since our trip this summer, but I still daydream about our CL stay. We really fell in love with the BC and we miss it. Have a great trip!

We leave on Saturday and I think I've officially entered the giddy stage. I'm at work (shhhh) and I just can't think straight. I'm so excited to be heading back to WDW and the BC. We are forecasted to get 5-7" of snow today and tonight was my only free night to run some last minute errands, but I don't think that will happen. Can't say I'm a big fan of the rain that's currently in the WDW forecast; Monday looks like it could be a lot of rain, but that's still a week away. Started thinking about packing yesterday, but I just can't decide on quantities of short sleeve vs. long sleeve and shorts vs. capris. Okay, must focus and get something done.

So exciting! Have a great trip! :-)

:cool1:Brilliant-enjoy every second :thumbsup2
Who is this Dee woman of whom you speak??

Is this the woman who abandoned us and fled to Mexico because she was afraid of a little snow¿

I for one am certainly grateful that you hale and hardy Carolinians are brave enough to stick it out with the rest of us frozen friends of the Beach and Yacht clubs.

That woman better bring back some great stories. I want to hear tales of fabulous shopping trips and close calls with the law. If Jonny Dept. or Mathew McComeherehunny is involved in this warm weather vacation then all the better for the lady folk on the thread.... With our luck the only thing that she'll bring back for us is lurid pictures of food porn, and we all know how Dee loves her some food porn!

Love, your frozen friend Buzzy the fly.
PS Couchy! I'll be looking for you! If you feel something on your shoulder DON'T SWAT! It's just me saying hello XX OO

Thank you so much for your reply! Is Dee employed at Disney? Her posts are so informative and helpful, and I wondered if you have an opportunity to meet her while at the BC/YC. (If she is working on the particular days you are visiting of course). Thanks again for your reply, I appreciate your time!

:goodvibes Dee isn't employed by Disney but I bet she will be so chuffed you asked. She gives so freely of her time keeping us all up to date with all things YC/BC (when she doesn't fly off to Mexico that is;)).

YES! THIS!!!! Do it for us!
If you are up to it, try to post a picture of the hottest looking guy hanging out at the pool holding a Sunken treasure and beckoning us to come closer... Closer... CLOSER!!! ::yes::

At least you have an excuse :lmao: I will have to think of one??? Practising for St Patrick's Day perhaps :lmao:

Hi I've stayed in a room with my 3 and while it takes a bit of organising in the mornings it's always been great fun. We definitely make use of the lounge for extra breathing space when needed plus getting breakfast as and when people are ready rather than heading to a restaurant for a specific time make life hugely easier in my book. You will have a great time :)

Thanks. It's not worth it for the three of us. Looks like we are able to keep the yacht club, pool/lagoon view and our dining and save a great chunk of money towards or spending.
That's great! 18 days sounds like a dream!:-)

Schools closed again today. Fortunately, I was walking into my office when I got the call. My husband was still sleeping when I left. Them's the breaks when you sleep in, right?

Got my ADRs. Just BOG and V&A. I decided to get up in the morning and make them, since I was awakened by the 2 hour delay phone call from the school district. I'd already told IPO what I wanted, but figured it wouldn't hurt to make them myself. Pretty sure I'm not going to bother with any other sit down meals. Might be too hot to eat a lot of food (although with freezing rain outside, it's hard to contemplate that).

Lol! Great idea!

Next week's temperatures look fantastic and will be much appreciated by this Wisconsinite trying to survive the winter from, well ... you know :-). Not a huge fan of the cloudy/rain in the forecast. Refresh my memory. Florida "chance of thunderstorm", "spotty showers" translates into NOT an all day washout? Right? Please!

Agree. If it's going to be an all day washout in Florida it is an 'event'.

Yacht club club level? Do they have to go cups for coffee or drinks? Thanks

Yes. You can get to go cups…..We did. And the great thing about CL is you can ask for anything you don't see (within reason of course) and the CM's go out of their way to get it for you!
