Hi! I have been lurking this board for years!! We have stayed at the Beach Club 4 times in the last 6 years and have always had an amazing trip thanks to the information I have found here. There is always an answer to my question before I ever need to post it! But this time it's a little complicated and not sure if any of you will be able to help, just in case, here it goes...We are a family of 5, my husband and I have three boys ages 11, 5, and 1. My 11 year old has Autism, he is a truly amazing boy who has changed my life for the better in so many ways, but he can have some pretty severe meltdowns at times. Disney has been the only vacation spot we have ever found that handles his needs so completely, they have always been so willing to help make our families vacation perfect. Anyway, the last time we stayed at the Beach Club, while checking in a CM overheard my husband and I talking about how we would handle one of his meltdowns if it occurred in the room so it would not disturb our neighbors, she asked us if there was anything they could do to help ease his tension, we mentioned that we always requested ground level because of certain fears, and were always accommodated, other than that our main fear was for our neighbors because most meltdowns happen in the room when he is either feeling upset about ending the fun, or having issues with being in more cramped quarters than he is used to without his own space. She went and spoke with a manager and came back to say they felt they might have the perfect room for us, it was 1606, a slightly larger room on ground level with only one neighbor. It was Garden view which is what we had booked and it was PERFECT!!! The size, the lack of one neighbor, and the location was ideal for our situation! So my question is, do I have any chance of trying to get this room again for our May 2014 trip? I realize it's a pretty big request, but it was such a huge help, I just have to try. Wow, I just threw a whole lot of info at you guys, sorry!
