So I got a call yesterday morning from my aunt saying that she booked a room at the BC for her and her DH (this will be the first time staying here for both of them, they normally stay at the Poly). They used the 30% off deal when they booked.
*snip*
However, I am excited that they are trying out this beautiful resort, for years it was either the Poly or nothing at all....it was almost like they didn't know there were tons of other resorts to choose from
Let us know if we can answer any questions for your aunt.
Must be a Jersey night, great minds are dreaming of Disney on this cold snowy evening. Dee if you could please change our dates to August 20 -27, 2014 BCV. It's a done deal, we booked today!!
Yes, I will make the adjustment.
My mom and I will be staying at the BCV April 29th to May 5th. I am so looking forward to it especially with all this snow all around me right now

back.
I'll add you to the list

Agreed! Bless my DH and DS12 who were out cleaning up the driveway while the other kiddos and I watched TV (well I did schoolwork).
Dee For the umpteenth time

I've changed the reservation. I actually changed twice, first I added BACK CL

I also dropped two nights, I am trying to be a good Mama and wife giving the family some Universal time.
We will be at the beach 8/15-21, then over to Hard Rock Hotel 8/21-24...then over to my happy place DISNEY
BC SV CL 8/24-29

This resort changer is staying at Beach Club
For a PP who asked about the number of connecting rooms... I did ask IPO the chances of possibly not getting connecting rooms, and I was told we have highest priority being 2 adults with 5 kids (kids outnumber us...). There's always a chance we won't get it, but it's all good. If it's an important request, make it your only request. Best of luck!
I'll make the change
Have you stayed at the Hard Rock before? We loved it! My current trip report has lots of pictures and info about the Hard Rock rooms, grounds, pool, rock paraphernalia and a "secret entrance" If you go to the Table of Contents of my report, there are several posts under "It's a Hard Rock Life"
Hi! We are headed to the BC SV CL (I think I got that right!) from April 26 - May 4! It's our first trip to the BC and I'm very excited! We've stayed at the Poly, AKL, POR (princess room for one night), CSR, and the ASMo (for one night). My DH wanted the Poly again because of the monorail, but it wasn't available for when we could go with the spring discount. We are a family of 5, so we are limited as to where we can stay without truly breaking the bank. Darn 3rd child! LOL! We usually do the deluxe dining plan, but our oldest will be 10 and she in no way eats like an adult. So, we are going to pay OOP. The only difference in our eating plan is that we are scheduling way fewer character meals. We had 6 last time and are doing 3 this time. Can't wait for our trip!!!
Oh, and we haven't told our kids yet! We surprised them last time a few weeks out and we want to surprise them again this time. Their reactions were kind of funny! We haven't purchased airline tickets yet as we may add on a couple of day at US before the disney part. It depends on what flight prices look like. Once we secure airfare, we will be in a position to spill the beans.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list
Great call on ditching the Deluxe Dining Plan. We did that once without club level and it was WAY too much food/time spent dining. And we are a family who loves to eat. A lot! We paid OOP on our last trip and my husband and I split a couple of meals and/or desserts and we were just fine.
The number you are looking for is the 12 digit all numerical number found on the Customize your magic bands page and also on your yellow magical express baggage tags.
That number along with your Disney log in info gets you access to the booking system for FP+ lunch reservations. These reservations do not count toward your 3 per day FPs as this is a separate stand alone "test" for the BOG booking system...
The reservation window for the upcoming month opens about 10 days/2 weeks prior to that month. Allowing you to choose a window for arrival & also choose your meal if that is the selection you wish.
Do you have an upcoming stay at the Yacht or Beach Club? August? Would you like me to add you to the Be Our Guest list?
We are staying a week - June 11-18 - in a 2Br BC Villa. We rented through David's and so far, everything has gone great. There will be five adults, a 4-year-old and a near 2-year-old. The only thing left to do is get our park tickets. Can't wait!
I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list
Hi, we are planning a trip for late august or September and while we have only stayed at the Poly, with all the construction and pool closure, we are choosing the BC. I have 3 kids, 10,7, and 5 and I think they will enjoy the pool area. I'll miss the monorail, but can get over it, Lol!
My question is, is there a section of rooms near the pool? We stayed CL and in Samoa at the poly, both right by the pool and enjoyed the close proximity for the kids. Is it possible to request a room or is it a bad idea (noise, inconvenience, etc). Also, we will probably just do a standard view, will we be able to get a balcony? I'd like that or a ground floor with a patio, preferably by the pool???
Thanks for any information!!
Let us know when you book and I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.
Yes, there are standard views that have full balconies. I don't know about SV on the ground floor. By definition, the SV rooms have a view of rooftops (which you wouldn't have) or a parking lot in the front of the resort. I can't recall any rooms on the ground floor overlooking the parking lot (because most of the space on the first floor on that side are taken up by the lobby areas and restaurants. But maybe on the "ends" of the resort hallways.
Anyone know???
There are rooms that are close to the quiet pool. I'm not sure how close you can get to Stormalong Bay. I don't know if the noise would bother you or not. We had a room overlooking SAB (5th floor) and we could hear people and music, but it didn't bother us, but another recent poster had a nearby room overlooking SAB and they did not care for the noise when they were trying to rest.
To request a room that is closest to SAB, you would probably request "Close to lobby"- that would be a convenient location, close to lobby/SAB/transporation.
Hope that helps!
Hi everyone well we finally booked, we will be at the Beach Club July 25th - August 4th, I would love it if you could add me to the list!
We are all really excited, can't wait to stay the BC for the first time.
Okie Dokie- I'll put you on the list.
Can someone tell me if there are any standard view rooms on the first floor? Also, do rooms on the first floor that have patios have the ability to walk straight from the patios (or is there too much landscaping/shrubbery that prohibits you from walking right on/off the patio)? thanks!
Do you have an upcoming trip booked?
I gave my thoughts about whether there are SV rooms on the first floor in a response above. I don't know.
You can walk from the patios in some of the rooms (minding NinjaMom's warning about sawgrass) but I don't think there is a way to lock the sliders from the outside when you leave the room.
