Lisann, the pink Mary Poppins shirt, is it a tank or tee? The design is very cute...

It is more of a sloped shoulder shirt; the sleeves are not set-in.

I would have done more pics, but would you believe I forgot the good camera? Geez.

Hi guys, sorry to jump in mid convo.

Totally random question but when we arrive into the car park or through security ( unsure as never stayed here before ) what do we do with the car?

Is there a security guy or gate?
Park, check in then get our bags from car?
Park, take bags with us to check in?
Will we need a parking permit to go in the car?

Sorry to ask a silly question but I've been wondering for while.

The carpet: completed. Ate at Citricos Friday night (another incredible meal). The carpet appears to be the same style and color and design as the last, just new.

We stayed at the Poly this time, and it will be my last for a while. Won't get into all of the details, but I have noticed a decline in cleanliness there, along with other issues. But we still managed to have a very good vacation.

I did do some damage at Summer Lace! And other stores as well (Basin, M. Mouse Mercantile). Here are some cell phone photos of what I bought. Prices are listed for those who are interested (ouch!)...$98 navy sweater, $68 floral shirt, $19 each for eyeglass cases, Mary Poppins shirt approx $32, can't remember. The sweater and shirt are both Tommy Bahama. They match a previous T. Bahama sun dress that I purchased a few years back.View attachment 162779 View attachment 162780 View attachment 162781 View attachment 162782 View attachment 162783 View attachment 162784
Great stuff...I LOVE Tommy Bahama:)! I am concerned about your negative Poly experience:( We are at the Grand end of May/early June but then returning to Poly the last week of July because my DD17 wants to visit FSU...and of course we had to go to Disney if we're going to be that close! I couldn't justify GF (especially RPC) since we would've just been there a month and a half before, and we got an amazing magical deal on Poly CL for our July dates. I'm going in with really low expectations, and considering the deal we got, I'm hoping we won't be disappointed???

Unless things have changed since October, you will stop at the guard gate, tell him/her you are checking in, show ID, he will ask if you will be self parking or valet...he will give you a slip showing your dates for your car, you will pull forward to the entrance and bell services will unload your bags. If you self park, you will then park your car or if valet, they will park it for you. Now that I think of it, the guard may just scan your MB now to see your GF ressie but you may still show ID? My DH always drives, and I don't really pay close attention:( Plus, we've been so many times, all the trips seem to be fading together now:crazy:! Anyway, it will happen something like that. It seems like on one of our recent trips, they didn't even give us the slip of paper for our car, but we stayed at BWI in December, and I can't remember if that was there?? No matter what, you will stop at the guard gate and then pull forward to bell services...I can't wait to be doing that!!!!

I don't think you will be disappointed, but I was a little concerned with "little" things that I noticed, that I don't notice at the Grand. I hate to give negative reviews, as I am happy to be alive and on the planet. So for me, just the fact that I can go to Disney is wonderful in and of itself.

We had a good time, but it was super crowded. Maybe it was the runDisney event, I don't know. I think you will enjoy your stay.

Fab, thats just the info I needed, thank you :)

I won't have a magic band yet as we r from the UK, so we will prob have to show I.d.

Gosh, we are going to feel like royalty with bell services unloading our bags princess: What will they do with them then?

Just a note about not paying attention when hubby drives....I'm the same when my hubby goes on about work, I think I shut down :rotfl:

We are from Canada and never have MBs untill we pick them up at front desk. But I bring a copy of our reservation to show and photo ID. Driver licence is fine. At check in they may (or may not) issue a parking pass. Not sure of new rules. We fly into Ft Lauderdale first & spend some time there, then drive up to Wdw. But after we check in we return rental so I don't bother asking for parking pass.
Once you check in and get MB you don't have to go thru security gate. There's a seperate gate for GF guests operated by your MB.

Just back from a one night stay. Our last stay at GF was Dec 2009, it has changed and not for the better. We received a text at 10:03 (our expected arrival) and told our room wasn't ready, at 4:15 we still did not get a text. We were in EPCOT, got the # for guest services at GF and called to see about the room, put on hold, transferred to another person, put on hold...total of 3 times. Finally got a room number but no real explanation of why we didn't get a text or a room number until we called. Got some lame excuse about the "marathon" weekend and how busy they were. I have been to Disney during 7 rundisney events, never had this happen. No turndown service, no greeting from any CMs, even though one bell service person passed us twice on our way to the room, too busy on his phone to look up. Anyone have the email for the manager at GF that I can explain my unhappiness and reasons why we are going back to the EPCOT resorts.

Great, thank you.

I must remember to print copy of reservation, i have every other bit of itinerary printed but not the most important one!

Yes, it's really nice to have someone handle the bags for you:) If your room is ready, they will take your bags to your room for you, but if your room is not ready, they will store your bags for you so that you can go to a park, etc. The area in which they hold the bags is very secure. We have stored them there many times especially on check-out day since check-out is 11am (unless you are lucky enough to get a late check-out...we always ask but don't always get) and we leave as late in the day as possible to get more park time:). You may already know this, but it is standard practice to tip the bell services person who helps with your bags.
