That's just something else to look forward to :)

I hope that our room will be ready as we probably won't arrive until 9pm :guilty:

I will be ordering a garden grocer delivery so bell services will have that too, I believe.

Yes, I know that we will have to tip them but thank you for the heads up in case I didn't. That would be shameful, someone dealing with your bags and not tipping them.

Is it a far walk to the beach pool from the Villas? I've stayed at OKW and Saratoga Springs and both were quite a walk so I'm assuming that it's not very far. Not a problem just curious as never stayed (only been to Grand Floridian for a meal and to look in shops in main building.

No, very very close.

This is a view of the villas and Beach Pool. They are next door neighbours, really.

Long time no see! We had a wonderful time at Disneyland!! I was curious if the tea time there would be as nice as at the Grand??

We really enjoyed the extra space of the booths. Very private compared to The Garden View Tea Room.

The sugar was rock candy on a stick!

I preferred GF for the Tea!

The champagne at DL was better. The salad starter was a very nice touchh however I miss the fun English things that GF offers. Can't wait to get back to GF!!

Oh they also gave you a small box with truffles to go!

Hi All - I've loved reading everyone's post. We are staying at sugar loaf for the first time in October. Is there a certain room # you would recommend staying in? It will be my husbands first time staying on property and both of our first time at the GF we are beyond excited! There will be 4 of us (myself, husband, my mom and our 2 yr old). Any advice would be helpful!

I have stayed in SL several times. I like the marina side with a full balcony, not a dormer room. I have stayed in 6319 and 6321. I prefer 6321. It is not near the elevator and at night, the double doors to the hall way right before 6321 are closed. You don't hear any noise that may come up from the lobby below.

Ditto this, we were in 6219/6221 in December. Very peaceful yet still felt plenty close to the lounge :)

Does anyone know if you can do a walk up for tea? We are a party of 2.

thanks
I have never been successful. However for best results arrive as it opens and you may get lucky! Also people can cancel day before so check the app for a last minute ressie too.

There are a few of the Deluxe shaped rooms that are request only. (they have the bump out /extra space). One year all 4 of stayed there and I requested it and mentioned I could use some extra space in my email to IPO.

I prefer the marina rooms myself. With a 2 yr old the balcony of the dormer is almost a little playpen. That would be nice unless the little one wants to peek over and tries to climb!

However the Garden/pool side is peaceful so either side will work.

Hello all. First time at the GF in July for a conference I just signed up for. Couple of questions:

1. I have a "garden view, outer building" assigned- any specific building to request?
2. Would like to partake of Narcoossee's or Citrico's one night but hate dinning by myself. Is the regular menu available at the lounge?

Thanks

Welcome to GF, you'll love it! I recall reading that they tend to assign most guests attending a conference in their convention centre rooms in Sago Key, as it's the closest building. It's also very close to the bus stop and the quick service restaurant. I'd request a marina view, it's considered a garden view at GF!

I don't know about the dining question but someone will come along who knows.

No worries about dining alone, I've done it may times at Narcoossee's -- at the bar -- full menu. It is literally just one huge wide open restaurant so the is part of the same area.
