Do any of the standard rooms have a jacuzzi tub? I'm finally stay at the GF after 15 trips to the world!!!! So excited.

One more last minute question: How long should we give ourselves for transportation (via Disney transportation-- monorail, bus, etc) to each park?

Does anyone know if Gasparilla's would accommodate a mail order? I want to order some of their bakery items, since I can't seem to find it at home.

:wave2: Thank you!! Love GF Cafe! I tried the Shrimp & Grits last Aug, yum! Then in January I stayed at ️POR & tried Boatwrights for the first time. They had Shrimp & Grits on new menu, but not as good as GF!!!

:thumbsup2 I agree...delicious!!

Congrats on your first GF stay! :goodvibes Sorry but standard rooms do not have jacuzzi tubs...

I need a new ticker. Where do you get the ones that look like the CM name tags?

Those tickers can be found on MickeyPath .com

With the exception to the transportation to the MK..which is pretty quick..but I think its always best even then to leave a 15 minute cushion...Epcot, DHS or ALK I would say about 45 minutes...

I don't know the answer to this..but would suggest calling private dining at the GF...they might be able to best direct you....BTW lo love your user name and signature!

~Looks like there is going to be a 24 hour event at the MK again this year... Memorial Day weekend...May 22-23...Anyone planning on doing this...?? I am not a 24 hour kind of girl..and need my rest...lol..but I bet is is very cool to participate in...

Hope that all of my fellow GF fans are having at terrific Thursday....:earsgirl: preppy GF gal who has not changed any ADRs in 24 hours!! :tilt:

So I am planning our resort day!! I know November is far..but I am way too excited!! What days/time are the parosole parades? Also..we will be renting the cabana ALL day...super excited! We mainly wanted it for the pool party, and the half days have them right outside of that area (sneaky sneaky!! don't blame them ;) ) Besides the pool party and just hanging out..what other fun things should we do on our resort day? We were going to walk over to Poly for breakfast at Kona and end our day with Narcossee or 1900 Park Fare (which ever one we didn't do on check in day)..

Love watching wishes from the patio outside Gaspys. You can also watch the Electric Water Parade from dock or beach. I can't remember what time in the morning the parasol parade was, early! Someone will come along with the answer. It's cute.
We also like to monorail to the other MK resorts to check out the shops & CS

Ooh, I still have a couple of those nightie-night chocolate wrappers from our last trip!

Hi, my dear GF peeps! :wave2: It has been far too long since I enjoyed the company of this thread. Things just piled up after our return to Oz. Hope all is well.

I am seriously considering my first overseas solo trip for next year. Of course, WDW and the GF are major pieces in that trip. We usually book a deluxe RPC room. In fact, we have our favourites - 4422 and 4320. Would I be foolish to book one as a solo traveller? Coming such a distance I would like to stay for a few weeks, so a larger room would be lovely. But, does it seem greedy? I have also looked at the King deluxes, but I'm not sure I would be happy without a balcony, or having the hassles of a second floor room. My goodness, even typing these words it seems such a first-world problem! Thoughts, anyone?

I don't think its greedy, I think it's a great idea! If I were in your shoes and planned to stay a few weeks, I agree that a larger room would be more comfortable - and a balcony would be a must!

If you decide to go for it, have a great time!

Can anyone tell me if it is hard to book a one or two bedroom room at the 11 month mark? My sister is thinking of buying points at vgf because that is where they will want to stay but they are nervous that they might even have trouble booking the entire trip at 11 month because it is such a small resort. Anyone have any problems?
Thanks so much for any input!!

We Booked at the 9 month window and got the last 1 bedroom. I believe they have the fewest rooms of all the DVC. If this is where you want to stay I think I would make it your home resort.

I have never had trouble booking at 11 months, but as pp mentioned if you want to be able to book a studio or 1 BR you probably should make VGF your home resort.

Sounds like you already have some very good ideas on how to spend a resort day...and that Sue has given you a few more..:cloud9: ....you might even need two resort days! The parasol parade is at 8 am ..I believe on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays ..its a Grand tradition and such fun to watch...

Hello there follow Nice to see you! I am in total agreement with Phyllis ...no reason not to book the room category that you like best...and deluxe rooms are not that much more costly than the standard rooms... I know that 4422 is a very lovely deluxe queen...but isn't 4320 a deluxe king?? :confused3 You are right..first world problems..lol...I would not won't to risk being in a second floor room either....especially if you are staying for a few weeks....A few weeks!!! How wonderful... Happy planning...:goodvibes

Sue Great advice on how to spend a resort day...and love the GF chocolate pic.... such a pretty wrapper...such scrumptious chocolate! :thumbsup2

Candy Yet another fab photo....Such a beautiful view....:lovestruc

MissMonorial I see that you found the ticker site that you asked about....

:wave2: grannyminnie...Are you all settled in after your California adventure...:)

Giving a shout out to some of our fellow fans that I have not seen here in a while... MickeyNut, ahcupcake, WishesQueen , Beth Clayton, MommyGina and last but never least pas (don't forget your Grand groupies when you pop in here!!) ....

~ Frozen alert...is everyone sick of hearing about Frozen yet...lol... read today that Disney confirmed that they will indeed be making a Frozen 2..now there's a surprise...:upsidedow Still I am a Frozen fan...and will be looking forward to seeing the sequel...

Hope that all of my fellow GF fans had a fab Friday....:cutie: GF gal who has decided that our summer BC trip will now be a BC/ GF split! ...lol...The best of "both" worlds... :goodvibes

Well as usual I will need to add a day to our stay. I decided to do it at the beginning and not the end because it's so close to thanksgiving. So I am thinking about beach club for our first day!! Then move to GFV for the rest. Any thoughts?
I noticed someone else is planing BC/GF.

Thank you for that lovely hug, Blue! 4320 was still a queen room for our stay a year or two ago. It may have been changed to a king during the recent renovations. I really don't know.

That is a fine plan, Miss Monorail. You'll have the best of both worlds! You won't be frustrated moving out of BC so soon after arrival?

Sue M, down to just 10!? Oh, the pain, the pain! I really feel for you! ;)
