Every Wed. night there is now a dessert party in the marina area in front of Gasparilla's. The "Gone Mad" Party features desserts and adult beverages for purchase themed to Alice in Wonderland.

I just read about this on Theme Park Tourist!

I am wondering if they are testing this out to discourage people from being around the beach area at night for Wishes. I saw it is currently scheduled Wednesdays from 8:30 - 10:30pm.

This week we booked a November trip and will be staying at the GF for the first time! Our usuals are Poly and Boardwalk. Excited to try something new.

Another question for the experts - is there a refillable mug station at the pool bar? If so, is it self-serve and when does it open? Thanks!

We are staying at GFV and will probably go with mugs if we can run and fill them up ourselves at the pool bar in the morning. If not, I think I will need to order more soda with our grocery delivery because I won't be running back and forth to Gasparilla Grill each morning!

Yes, I will be doing that soon! My housekeeper was Sam, according to the little card that was in the room. Enjoy your solo trip! Traveling solo I often have fine adventures that simply wouldn't happen if I were traveling with others.

Can't wait to hear if you were able to get an opening date for the new OFC lounge. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and feel free to PM me if you have any solo tips you're willing to share

I sometimes took my mug for a spot of coffee before going to the gym. I'm an early riser and it was open at the feature pool, but I can't recall the time, maybe by 6:30? Sorry I can't recall. Also, Gaspy's was closed when I was there last August and the temp. QS location didn't have drink refills so I don't know if the pool station was open only because Gaspy's was closed.

We're booked at VGF in January, so excited! We stayed in Sugarloaf in May/June and I know we'll miss the CL lounge but we loved GF so much we had to go back.

@Sue M - no worries on overpacking -- you can always shop and buy more while on vacation - I hear that there are some lovely retail shops at Disney! You just might need to buy another suitcase!!!! 25 days -- I'm envious, but you enjoy yourself - you've earned it.

Thanks Tom. Yeah, long vacays, one of the perks of working in schools, summers off. Still seems to go too fast! Shopping....what a novel idea
And let's not forget all those shops at GF! I already have my eye on the new GF tee!

There is a refill station at the Beach Pool, very close to VGF. I'm not sure when it opens. In the morning I head to Gaspys on the way out for coffee.

I have a conference stay coming up in a month. I have a garden view, outer bldg- most of my activities are at the conference center- which building should I request to be closest . Please and thank you!

Morning, GF peeps! It's been a while since I've posted, because for some reason the "Alert" on here did not do it's job to let me know new posts had been made! I had to sift thru at least 10 pages but was glad to read all the same.

The pics of our lovely Grand were such a nice treat this morning, Kook! You won't be disappointed in RPC!

Hi, Blue...enjoy your upcoming stay! I will miss you by a week, but we are sadly not at the GF, at least not to sleep. We will, however, spend as much of our off time there as possible. And eat at 2 or 3 of the restaurants. We are trying Citrico's for the first time, also.

Wishes, I hope you get to return before next August! I cannot imagine having to wait a whole year, but do get that some people have to do so.
