Great tip Sue..the boat dock really is a very nice place to view Wishes from...:rainbow:

Afraid not....it usually books up pretty quickly.....no harm in trying though... you never know....:thumbsup2

I remember reading about those rooms too...we they referred to as bulk head rooms maybe....??? Hmmmm...:scratchin

By one bedroom I am thinking that you are in a suite...and there are suites in all of the outer buildings..and they all have CL access also..and have been recently refurbed...take a look at the map on page one here...it will give you a good idea of where all of the building are located on the property....so that you can decide where you would prefer to be...I would also suggest a call to IPO and ask them for specifics...I do believe that they are on the top floor of each outer building... except Conch..which also has one on the ground floor...GF is a lovely property..and in our experience offers such a nice level of service...that I don't think that you will be disappointed....:goodvibes

I am pretty sure that there are HA rooms in all of the outer buildings...:thumbsup2

Hope that all of my fellow GF fans are having a terrific Thursday...:earsgirl:
@BlueSkies thanks for politely correcting me-I didn't realize that there were cl suites in all the outer buildings. Btw, I put the current luggage in the trash barrels tonight so I truly have no reason to worrying about packing. And getting back to the GF, has anyone recently done the chef's table at Victoria and alberts?

We are staying at the Grand in a few weeks and have a really early ADR in MK at CP on the Monday morning (7am)

Will the monorail be running or will it be down for maintenance? Does the boat run this early or will we have to resort to a bus?

Tom...Your packing ways make me apoplectic! !!:crazy2: Lol...Sorry..no V&A help from me....

Typically the monorail will be running early ...and if it's not...which is unlikely. .usually the modified hours impact midday traveling.. .thank goodness that they tend to do that during more off peak times of day....then the boat should be running early...

Early CP breakfast is such a nice way to start a MK day..!

Sometimes. I've been able to snag a seat at the last minute about 50% of the time. It's worth a shot.

Good to know..what I forgot to mention previously is that the Beach Club now has afternoon tea in their solarium...and while we have not yet tried it...it sounds like another nice way to enjoy afternoon tea...:goodvibes

Hope that all of my fellow GF fans have a wonderful weekend! princess:

As Blue said, the porch is only for people eatting there. But there's plenty of people that watch on the grounds nearby, also on the boat dock.

Thanks for the tip! Is the music pipped into the boat dock area?

We will be staying at the Villas in a one-bedroom and will need two pack and plays, but there is only one in the room. I am planning to call mouse keeping when we arrive and request another. Has anyone had experience with this? I am hoping it won't be a problem, but I am getting nervous now. Thanks!

@BlueSkies also replied to this, but I will second that this is a great way to start your MK day! We had a 8:05 a.m. CRT (for a 9:00 a.m park opening time) when we were there in November and we took the boat over. We were told the monorail wasn't running that early on that particular day, but it was running that early for other mornings - so not sure why that morning was different. I did feel like we got conflicting messages from the CMs about transportation options so that could have been part of the problem...maybe it was actually running and we had the wrong info. Either way, the boat was a nice way to start the morning. You just need to leave a little earlier since it stops at the Poly on the way to the MK.

I don't have any experience with pack & plays, my kids are in their 20's now! But I would call reservations and have that request added to the reservation, and when you arrive if extra pack & play isn't in room, go to desk to request one. I've heard that the housekeeping phone button doesn't go to housekeeping anymore, but to an outside call centre. This is new this year :sad2: another cutback in service. Some have posted that when using room phone, it's a long wait to get anything. I remember using room phone to ask for something, and having a knock on the door within 10 min. Guess that's now a thing of the past. Sigh.

Thank you both for your reply's. We usually take the monorail to MK and the boat back when staying at GF

But I don't mind taking the boat it'll be a lovely way to start the morning. Like you say we'll just have to leave a little earlier. Didn't want to be walking to the boat dock and realise that they weren't running that early and then having to walk back over to the bus stops.

Why are the deluxe rooms occupancy 4? We are only going to be 4 but will have 1 of the 4 in a separate bed. (Ie one brought in or something else)

The occupancy at all deluxes with the exception of AKL and WL is 5. All the monorail resorts have rooms with 2 queens and a daybed. If you are 4 and just want another bed WL and AKL have bookable categories of queen plus bunk beds (that are large enough for most adults if that matters).

I though I read that the deluxe rooms at the Grand Floridian were occupancy of 4, but I must be mistaken. Sorry for the confusion.

The outer building deluxe garden were 4 as well as the RPC queen deluxe, king deluxe was 2. Since the refurb all of these rooms have added a daybed or pull out sofa and increased the occupancy by 1 in each.

Welcome! :goodvibes Just as a precaution..my suggestion would be to stop at the desk in the lobby...there used to be an information/concierge desk..but I do believe that it has now been merged with the check in desk....and ask what the transportation schedule is during your stay....:thumbsup2
