Hope someone can help me. I have booked 2 rooms at GF in August. TA noted my request of connecting rooms. I was looking at touring plans and EVERY room I looked at said no connecting room. Is this incorrect, or are there so few connecting rooms available. Yes, adjoining would be ok too, but really would like the option of going from room to room without going in hall. Thanks for your help.
There are quite a few connecting rooms, my guess is this is in every building. I think that priority is given to parents with a bunch of kids under 18 (I'm raising my hand ;) ) however if you make that your priority request you should have a decent chance. There seem to be lots of people who DON'T want a room with a connecting door, so fingers crossed for you!!

Thanks pas, will be traveling with dd9, but 4 adults, so I know its not something that is imperative, but would love connecting rooms. Good to know, there are connecting rooms. Thanks again

I have found that Tourplans Room Finder is extremely inaccurate. So much so I stopped using and stopped recommending it.

Good to know. I was concerned that I could not find connecting rooms, glad the site is inaccurate and that there are connecting rooms. Thanks

You're very welcome! I'm glad dansdad chimed in as well, because he's an excellent resource all things WDW resorts!

Hi everyone I am new to the board! I will be staying at the GF in September and then headed to Universal! I have a question about viewing the fireworks from Narcoossee's porch area. Can anyone access the porch to watch the fireworks even without eating at the restaurant? Thank you in advance!

I do believe that the porch at Narcoosee's is strictly for people who are dining there...and also is only accessible from inside the restaurant...But...there is going to be a Wishes dessert party offered there soon...Details are on the previous page..look for a post from followthemouse...

Sarah28 Congrats on your wedding! :goodvibes and what better place to celebrate such an event...I bet it was spectacular! :wizard: thanks for sharing your lovely photos...They are the next best thing to being at WDW...Very grand! :thumbsup2

kathyfog As the very knowledgable dansdad and pas have both stated...there are indeed connecting rooms in all of the buildlings at the GF..:thumbsup2 While I do use Touring Plans for accurate room location...I agree that the specifics are definitely off....most rooms at the GF are connecting...I know..because I am one of those folks who generally requests a non connecting room...lol...and any of the times that we have requested connecting rooms we have been accommodated....Just a tip...if your rooms are not on the same reservation..(which if they are I would suggest making connecting rooms the first request) and IF they are two different ressies make sure that they are connected via "travel with" ..and there also I would be sure that connecting rooms are the primary request....HTH...:flower3:

~Page two rescue...GF groupies...where are ya!!!???? Planning grand vacations???????????:confused3 lol...

Hope that you are all having a wonderful Wednesday....princess: GF gal who is under the 60 day mark!!!! :woohoo:

As Blue said, the porch is only for people eatting there. But there's plenty of people that watch on the grounds nearby, also on the boat dock.

Hi fellow GF fans! :goodvibes

I have a question about a room request. We are staying in a garden view room next month (after 3 nights Poly GV CL :lovestruc) because I'm unable to get any GF CL w/ my AP discount for my dates. Now this is ok, we've stayed garden view many times before, and one of those times we had a room in Boca Chica which was the corner w/ two balconies. It was just the luck of the draw then, I didn't make any request for it. But I would like to now!! We'll be staying there for 6 nights.

Are any of you familiar with these rooms? What should I ask for? A corner room in my selected building?

Only 30 days to go! :flower:

I've lucked out in both BPK and BC by being put into either Lagoon or TPV rooms for the price of GV. I also was given that lovely room that overlooks the back of the pool house building in BPK once as well. My default if I am actually going to be in GV is Sago as I've always had a wonderful view of the Marina -- which really is a GV room.

Ive tried to read all the GF threads so I hope I'm not missing the answer to this question already.

I will be staying in a 1 bedroom club level "outer building" in May. I know there are several outer buildings but is there any point in me requesting one building over another or are they all the same? This is my first time at GF, second time on property (last time staying at BLT where were were not impressed so Im really hoping to get a much better experience this time)

Hello: Club level outer building is Sugarloaf - I don't believe there are any other club level rooms in outer buildings. Of course, there is club level in the main building - RPC.

Hi guys since touring plans room/view finder thing seems to not be super accurate is there any other websites out there with a similar feature? I'd love to put in a request for our stay, but since this is the first year we have had to book any special room (HA/roll in shower) I don't want to mess myself up by requesting a certain building and then finding out none of the room type we booked are in that building. I wish touring plans was more accurate but I'm afraid to use them for sending in request since it seems like a lot of people have noticed that it's all over the map with their reliability.

Great tip Sue..the boat dock really is a very nice place to view Wishes from...:rainbow:

Hi! Is the tea generally something 2 people can get in last minute?

Afraid not....it usually books up pretty quickly.....no harm in trying though... you never know....:thumbsup2

I remember reading about those rooms too...we they referred to as bulk head rooms maybe....??? Hmmmm...:scratchin

By one bedroom I am thinking that you are in a suite...and there are suites in all of the outer buildings..and they all have CL access also..and have been recently refurbed...take a look at the map on page one here...it will give you a good idea of where all of the building are located on the property....so that you can decide where you would prefer to be...I would also suggest a call to IPO and ask them for specifics...I do believe that they are on the top floor of each outer building... except Conch..which also has one on the ground floor...GF is a lovely property..and in our experience offers such a nice level of service...that I don't think that you will be disappointed....:goodvibes

I am pretty sure that there are HA rooms in all of the outer buildings...:thumbsup2

Hope that all of my fellow GF fans are having a terrific Thursday...:earsgirl:

This is what I was told when I chatted with Disney, I was told there are HA rooms in every building, but not nesseccarily HA rooms with roll in showers in every building and since that's the room we needed/booked I don't want to request a building if it doesn't match the room type we booked. Sorry that sounds complicated I know! I think I'll request connecting rooms for now and continue to research buildings...

Hi All, headed to GF for the 1st time in April. We are traveling with the grand parents and staying outer bldg theme park view. 2 separate reservations. Kids are 10 & 12. I am thinking Sago Cay High floor, would prefer something like 5445 & 5444. Anyone ever stay in these rooms. Wondering if they are connecting. Being close to the pool is NOT important, but close to transportation is. TIA

Hi Folks, I'm here! I know for a fact that in Sago Cay, one of the rooms is not connecting because I stayed in that room 3 years in a row. I can't remember which room number it is. I will see if I can find it.
@MommyGina - are you on the world right now?? How wonderful!!! I hope you have a magical vacation and all your dreams come true!!!
