Has anyone gone on a DVC Member Cruise? While, I have been on Disney cruises before, September will be my first member cruise. Since booking in December and receiving my confirmation, I haven't received any other information and was wondering what to expect. Any idea on the time frame as to when DVC/Disney Cruise Line send out details? I know we still have a little over 5 months to go. But we are excited to learn more :yay:

You will only receive the normal DCL pre-cruise mailings for the cruise. DVC will not send out any details of the member cruise portion in advance.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I was on the Jan cruise too. I didn't get too much in advance info from DCL other than our documents about a month before the trip.

Each Member cruise is slightly different so even if we told you what we did/received for ours, yours may not be the same.

It's important to use your navigator for the member cruise to figure out what you want to do when you get on board.

Use the DIS boards for information if you can get it regarding the cruise.

Are there specifics you really are trying to get? If so, maybe some of the MC veterans can help you.

Member Services HAD been better about keeping you excited and up to date about Member Cruises. They began sending out newsletters for the 2005 cruise, but it didn't last. I don't know why. We were all hungry for information. Then too, there was a pre-cruise party for Members at Pleasure Island with free entrance to PI and the clubs. You didn't have to be going on the cruise, just be a member and you could have guests. That was a pretty great cruise.

I think the January cruise this year was great too. But....pre-cruise information was very little. Maybe we should have realized that much of what we were to be given had been given in the September cuise. It was great to receive the DVC Monopoly game!

Thanks everyone!

Not really looking for anything specifc. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect, like are the usual shows (Golden Mickey's, etc.) still performed in the evening, or are they different on the member cruises?

All the regular DCL shows will still be performed. On the 4 Night MC, the 3 DCL shows will be held on the first 3 nights and DVC will have a special show on the last evening.
