*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

After 43 minutes finally got through only to be told that none of the kitchen memories have been released for booking. When I said that I knew other people were booking and wanted to talk with a supervisor, she said the system was showing those events as not being released yet for booking.
 

I'm really upset that I wasn't able to book *anything* for F&W this morning. (As I posted earlier, I was told at 7:16 am that the computer system wouldn't let them book F&W events & that they were "working on it.") It's especially disappointing to read that a few people were able to make reservations. I have a feeling that by the time I get through again, all the popular events will be full.

I got through immediately. Without holding. Got reserved for PFTS 10/26 and Italian Regional 10/28. French Regional 10/27 and Kitchen Memories 10/25 showed as unavailable. Even though I was doubtless one of the first callers to get through. Something is wrong, either they sold out just some events yesterday, or these events are not loaded in the system.

The only thing I could not get was the cheese seminar on 10/5, but booked the Parisian breakfast instead.

The lady did say the it is giving them grief today!
 
Every year I say I am not going to do this again unless Disney organizes their systems a little better. And every year I do this again anyway.

I've made 203 calls since 7AM. And all I have gotten is "All circuits are busy" or a busy signal.

Agreed, something is wrong. I'm hoping it's that the events were not loaded in the system correctly, and that the stars will align and when I call back they will have been fixed.
 
Finally. Finally got through after I was the dufus that hung up at 7am! 45 minutes of dialing the phone has about worn me out.
 
well here is the good thing, I have been 4 times to this event and have never booked any of the extra events. the cool thing about going this way is that you have ample time to try all of the kiosks and spend more time in the parks. some of these events take hours and while some may be cool, it is also awesome to drink and eat your way around the world and people watch. That is fun, too.
 
Got on hold first try at 6:00:02. Was told "Over 30 minutes" Finally connected at 6:40.

Tried for Sweet Sunday 9/29 and Scotland Food and Drink Reserved.
Sweet Sunday was available. SF&D Reserved was booked, but General was available.

Got both booked with confirmation numbers at 6:45. Very efficient and trouble free!

Just crazy and how completely frustrating! How is it that every CM will have different information? It seems like it all comes down to luck of the draw and that really is just nuts.

So sorry to hear these things are happening.
 
What a frustrating experience so far. Manged to get through at 7:03 only to have my call dropped after being on hold for 23 minutes. 20 minutes later of dialing and I can't even get back on hold. My kids will be up any minute and there goes my chance to make a nice quiet phone call.

Good luck....sending pixiedust: your way. I can't imagine how frustrated you must feel. The whole thing really is just crazy.
 
No go on kitchen memories on the 18th and the 25th.
No go on the cheese seminar on the 26th.

I told the CM I had a hard time believing a cheese seminar was booked. Her solution was to put me back in the queue or to call back later. Really?

I'm going back to bed - its 5 am in Oregon. Forget this. What a cluck-up!

Call back! 10/25 Kitchen Memory wasn't in the system yet. I refused to hang up until the CM checked with a supervisor because there was no way I was going to believe it sold out in 20 minutes this morning. When she said she hadn't been able to book it yesterday at 7:01 for a VISA holder I knew there was a problem! It took about 15 minutes but she got it for me when she came back to the call. Should be lots of spots for it open now that they started to book it!

I am on hold now, but I have to get my daughter up and she has to be on the bus in an hour and then an hour after that I have contractors coming to the house for measurements. I hope I can get off hold before then.
