2013 DDP--Why did they change restaurant options?

We had always planned on using the DDP Plus but the 2013 prices are now higher then they were in 2012. That's not a huge deal but a few of the places I planned on eating are not listed anymore:/ Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex restaurant, and O'Hana aren't on the list for Table service credits. Well O'hana is but it's now listed as a 2 credit instead of 1. Will Disney change this at any time in 2013? We aren't going until May, I'm really disappointed about this:(

The list is NOT complete. This happens every year, and every year the final brochure which comes out around December has everyone back on it. You'll be fine.

I just looked at the 2013 Dining Plan brochure and saw Ohana as one credit. Not sure where you are seeing 2 credits.

I believe in previous years the dining plan is not usually finalized until right around the beginning of the year. The non-Disney restaurants are usually the last ones updated.

I wouldn't worry too much about it yet.

The list of restaurants in the initial 2013 brochures is not final. They include only Disney-owned restaurants and those who have already signed the contract for 2013 (likely none at this point). Non-Disney restaurants have until the end of the year to sign back up for the next year. Historically, only 1 restaurant has ever dropped participation in the dining plan, Fulton's, and they rejoined for 2012. There's a good chance that your favorite restaurant that was on the plan for 2012 will be on it for 2013.

(Note: Many of the Epcot restaurants are, in fact, not owned by Disney. Same deal with Downtown Disney, and same deal with the Coronado Springs Resort)

(Another Note: Le Cellier specifically is now with the Signatures, so it's there, just hiding. It looks like it may end up being signature status for Lunch & Dinner for 2013 or it may be just a typo (been known to happen))

(yes, that's on a notepad today, and will be for a few days :p)

Oops! I was looking at Spirit of Aloha Dinner show, I thought it was the same thing as O'Hana until now;)

That makes me so happy!! I was really looking forward to eating at both RainForest Cafe and TRex:goodvibes

Thank goodness you cleared that up. I just noticed last night that the 2013 brochure was out and nearly had a panic attack when I looked at it! I came straight here after church today cause I new you guys would have the answers. DIS is the BEST!
