2013 Candlelight Processional Watch

After multiple attempts and seeing Donald a bunch of times, mine did finally go through.

I booked Via Napoli on Dec. 29 at 3:30pm for the 6:45pm show.

My confirmation did have the CAN in front of it.

Congratulations! Our friends will be there at the exact same time as you!

I booked on line and got Beirgarden for 4:20 dinner and the 6:45 show. when I booked I had no idea how much or what show. It never came up. So I called and switched it to lunch. It will be the 5 o'clock show, but the price was 20 dollars cheaper a ticket. Our lunch is 35 dollars and some change. We are now eating at 2. There was no way I wanted to pay 75 dollars for a dinner anywhere, so this works for me. I wanted a later show, but I will just pretend it is really dark out.:rotfl2:

Now here's what's interesting....
I checked on the Disney site under "My Reservations," Chefs De France was there, but there was no mention that it had anything to do with the CP.

Hmm...

Update.....when you check your timeline, it shows up as a CP Package...but I'd feel better if it went even further and showed the showtime I picked!

I thought the times were these:
Show 1 (5:00pm): Dining reservation between 1:45pm-2:45pm
Show 2 (6:45pm): Dining reservation between 3:30pm-4:30pm
Show 3 (8:15pm): Dining reservation between 5:00pm-6:00pm

I also got a 4:20 - but it doesn't tell me what time the show is! I wanted the middle show! Nothing is showing me what time the show is for the package I booked!!! Does anyone see the 2013 dinner/show time chart from Disney??

That information for 2013 doesn't seem to be available yet...and since one of the times that they let you choose for lunch starts at 12:30, its unclear if they simply expanded the lunch hours, or if everything is going to shift earlier.

I find it very disconcerting that Disney's website and the half dozen CMs I've called and spoken to this morning have no idea what the times are or the prices!

The prices are different at each restaurant. From my experience in the past at least.

On the good side, I did get through on the phone and they confirmed my show time. I don't know why they don't put the show time on the ressie this year??? Seems silly.

Well, mathematically, I'd look over the reservations you have and see if one of them might be cheaper to pay out of pocket than the CP. Far as I can see, they haven't published prices for CP meals yet...but you could just use last year's prices and see if any of your other choices are even close.

In other words...last year's Chefs CP was $55 (lunch) $79 (dinner)....so you'll want to look over the menus of the other places that you have ADRs and decide whether any of them would cost you less than $55/$79 and pay for the least expensive choice out of pocket.

I think it's safe to say that this year's prices will be slightly higher (at least I hope it's only "slightly") than last year, but looking at your other reservations, I'm thinking you're going to have to really work to spend $55 of $79 at any of them, so it will probably be cheaper for you to pay for one of those out of pocket. Obviously, look over the menu and do the math, but none of the ones you list are the highest priced places in my mind.

Thanks ... I was fully prepared to come in to work today and crunch the numbers hardcore, but then a rez for CRT opened up for our MK day ... so I guess I'm gonna pay OOP for the CP rez because I'm fairly certain that CP lunch is less than CRT dinner!

Is Le Cellier included and I just didn't get a reservation or is that not an option this year? Thanks! I was able to get on and get our reservation for Rose and Crown already!

Le Cellier isn't showing on the list of restaurants available....or in the pull down choices. Speculation is that since Le Cellier is typically 2 credits that it won't be available for CP. All the restaurants that are available for CP are typically 1 credit, but for the CP you have to pay the extra credit.

We we have a 1:45 PM reservation at Coral Reef for December 9th, with the admission for the 5 PM show. Now to find out who our narrator will be and how much this lunch is going to run us.

got our ADR too!

11/29 at Rose & Crown 1230pm! so excited!!

just waiting for CA Grill to open up ressies and we will be all set to go :cool1:

A little off topic here, but all this nonsense with the website is making me cringe thinking about booking fastpasses online.

Woke at 7:12, logged in, got 4:45 at chefs de France for trace Adkins on 12/21 and Christmas Eve coral reef at 4:30

Seemed easy for me :confused3

Wow...Got on website and phoned disney dining at precisely 7.00. Sat on the phone for 45 minutes and tried online but kept getting an error service. Finally hung up the phone, had a coffee, calmed down and phoned DVC member services at 9:00 to book. I wanted Teppan Edo for a 6:45 show on Dec 23 but was not available, neither was Tutto Italia. I finally got a reservation at Les Chefs De France. I am very happy.
In all honesty , Dsineys website leaves a lot to be desired. I can not look up my reservations for my December trip and the site has been like this for the last month. Now my focus is on getting tickets for Pearl Jam. Lottery tickets are now on sale. Their 10 Club site/system is something that Disney should be looking into. When they announce a tour, there are probally over 100,000 people logging onto the site as the tour is announced on that givin day and presto...no problems

Man, I was extremely lucky this morning. As soon as it hit 6am (central) I dialed the number, got a CM in about 3 min, and was off the phone by 6:15 with my reservations. The only reason it took that long was because I had him look at BOG reservations.

Well, considering they went live at 6 am today, not 7, sounds like you missed the bulk of the mess. By 6:45 this morning, it seemed to be running smoother than at 6 am. I can assure you that. LOL

It looks like Disney has finally officially announced the CP packages! I'm so thankful for this board or it's very possible I would have missed it this morning! (check the blog - since I'm a new poster I can't put the link here)

When we called we asked about Le Cellier as we already had Christmas Eve reservations there. She told us they were not part of the CP any longer due to them already being a 2 credit meal.

We got Garden Grill for CP for Christmas Eve show:) 8:15 show

I was "late" to phone in this morning. I woke up to find out my home internet was STILL down so after gathering all my notes and wallet, I phoned the reservation line a bit after 7a (EST).

Hold music is either good or bad. Started off with "Small World" and I was waking up with a spring in my step. Then there was a version of "Tale as Old as Time (Beauty & the Beast)" sung by mosquitos. :rolleyes2 I thought the buzzing was interference in my phone, but it stopped when the commercial man was speaking. Finally we got to "Yo Ho Yo Ho..." I was mid sentence of "pirate's life for me" when my CM picked up. :lmao:

Her computer froze and she had to refresh. But she worked some magic and I have my reservations. Rose and Crown on December 23 !!

Don't know who the narrator will be, but all that matters is I can sleep in now. And we'll be wearing ears for Christmas. :santa:

With all these headaches so many of you went through this morning it makes me so much more grateful I was able to get my ADR for the CL package last week with Disney's brief window of opportunity in error. Like so many of you have said, it is absolutely pathetic Disney continues to be plagued with online problems. At this point in time there are no excuses for this.

Oh my goodness, don't I agree with that statement!!! It seems like every time I have tried to make a reservation, including this morning, I log in, do a search, find a time, and I'm not logged in anymore. Log back in, time is gone. Start all over. Get to the point of confirming, and poor old Donald and his "server is busy" message comes up. The whole thing is a complete disaster. From 6-7 this morning (Central time) was the most stressful hour I've had in a long time. It really made me hope that the whole FP+ thing doesn't kick in before we go in December. I'm willing to be a guinea pig on a lot of things, but I don't think I have the patience to bet my vacation on how well this is going to go for the first few months. At least I know my CP package is safe......had to wait until 9:00 to get through on the phone to confirm since MDE wouldn't pull up reservations and my 12:50 ADR didn't say anything about show times, but we're good!!

What is everyone's experience with the reserved Illunimations area? How early should we arrive for a show very close to Christmas? Will we be able to see if we're not right in the front of the area?
