2013 Candlelight Processional Watch

If you don't get exactly what you want I'd recommend to keep trying back this morning as reservations are being confirmed, cancelled, changed, etc. I originally had Teppan Edo on 12/24 at 4:20 (for friends) and was told it was the 8:15 show, and there was no availability earlier (phone and online). However, an hour later, I was able to get a 4:10 reservation at Teppan Edo with tickets to the 6:45 show.

Also, I am trying to make a reservation for 12 on 12/23 at Teppan Edo, I couldn't get it this morning so I reserved another restaurant but tried again later and Teppan Edo had availability so I was able to switch it.

So happy!!

Ok I need help. I reserved Beirgarten for lunch on 12-24. Then my Mom said she just wanted something like a steak. So I also reserved Rose and Crown for 4:50.

How do I know what the menu will be? Plus do you think the extra cost for dinner is worth going to a later show?

I want to cancel the extra package asap to free it up for someone else. Thanks, Kim

My understanding is it is their regular dinner menu. Can anyone confirm for sure?

I wasn't able to book CP online. I called and was on hold for 45 min. I got VN on Dec. 5, 3:30, for the 6:45 show. I have a res. number but no "CAN" in front of it. I asked if the res. would show up on MDE. She said "It should." When I go to MDE none of my DVC or dining reservations are there. It says I have to relink everything. Then, of course, there are the usual server errors. What a pain.

Sigh. I THINK I booked Biergarten for 12/5 at 12:30, but, silly me, I didn't write down the confirmation number. I of course got the email canceling the reservation I'd previously had in that time slot, but it's been 2+ hours and I still haven't gotten a confirmation email for the new booking. And I can't pull up my ADR list on MDE because it's a giant piece of garbage. I can't believe Disney hasn't fixed this abysmal new website yet.

My understanding is it is their regular dinner menu. Can anyone confirm for sure?

Yes, it is always their regular menu. Unfortunately because of packages like this and the DDP, though, most restaurants have "watered down" their menus to very limited choices. This is so everyone gets the same menu.

But Germany is a buffet, and I don't believe there is steak there.

Is anyone receiving confirmation emails? I did receive one cancellation email, but not one for booking CPs. All of them have shown up in MDE, but do not show which CP event. Definitely different coders programmed the wording, as half of the restaurants state 'CAN' before the ressie, and others have the vague 'Holidays around the World' text.

I was able to book before 7am EST today online, received a couple of Donalds at first, but just hit reload on whatever page I was stalled on, and it moved me forward.

I checked last night before going to bed at midnight, and was able to see the blocks of times, pull up the restaurants, but it wouldn't let me have a time.

there's the list for now.

I got Tutto Italia Ristorante for 12/2 at 5:30 and La Hacienda De San Angel for 12/7 at 545. I'm waiting on who will be there on Monday before I cancel anything. Still holding out for NPH

Thanks for the link...I guess there is a decision to make since the person my mom wants to see (Trace Adkins) is before Christmas Eve. I have two reservations for CP...One for when Trace is there and one on Christmas Eve. I guess it is up to mom on what she wants to do.

We have a lunch rez at Chefs, which I'm hoping to make into a CP rez tomorrow. Question though: Is it worth using the two dining credits, or should I pay OOP for this? I have a 1 TS credit meal booked each day of our trip and using it would force us to pay for SOMEthing OOP, not sure which is best though.

Not sure if it's more helpful to share where we're eating, but Shutters (D), Liberty Tree Tavern (L), Cape May (B), Raglan Road (D), Chefs (L - CP?), Kona (D), Mama Melrose (L).

Opinions?

Well, mathematically, I'd look over the reservations you have and see if one of them might be cheaper to pay out of pocket than the CP. Far as I can see, they haven't published prices for CP meals yet...but you could just use last year's prices and see if any of your other choices are even close.

In other words...last year's Chefs CP was $55 (lunch) $79 (dinner)....so you'll want to look over the menus of the other places that you have ADRs and decide whether any of them would cost you less than $55/$79 and pay for the least expensive choice out of pocket.

I think it's safe to say that this year's prices will be slightly higher (at least I hope it's only "slightly") than last year, but looking at your other reservations, I'm thinking you're going to have to really work to spend $55 of $79 at any of them, so it will probably be cheaper for you to pay for one of those out of pocket. Obviously, look over the menu and do the math, but none of the ones you list are the highest priced places in my mind.

After multiple attempts and seeing Donald a bunch of times, mine did finally go through.

I booked Via Napoli on Dec. 29 at 3:30pm for the 6:45pm show.

My confirmation did have the CAN in front of it.

Kept trying online...my preferred method, but when it came time to actually show me results, the page wouldn't load.
I called...and got Chefs De France for lunch....it was pricey, but I hope it's worth it. Is there a full list of pricing anywhere??

R & C has steak on their lunch menu currently. Are you saying they take it off for CP lunch?

Nope, I just did a quick search, and didn't see it on the lunch menu (allears or something). You are correct, based on the official site menu, steak is at lunch and dinner at R&C.

I have a lunch reservation for CP at Chefs. I am trying to figure out what menu it will be for it. Will it be a pre fix or just anything off the menu? If it's pre fix, what is typically on that menu?

I couldn't find any times past 4:35pm when booking online but as soon as I called we had no trouble getting a reservation for Biergarten for 5:40pm on Dec 4. That now completes my reservations!

Okay - so, I've never done this online before - I got a reservation, but it doesn't tell me which Candlelight show?? It just says Holidays Around the World....and the lunch time.

In years past, lunch has always meant the 5pm show.....

Very interesting! A friend phoned Disney TWICE today and was told both times that Via Napoli was NOT included in the Candlelight packages this year. I could have sworn I saw Via Napoli as included on the website. I went to check and sure enough, Via Napoli was there AND showed availability for my friend's date. I went ahead and booked it online. The cast member on the phone with my friend assured her that I was wrong, during the second call. Talk about frustrating!!!!!
