2013 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Fun & Friends: Don't Post Here- New Thread Started

Just a quick update since I am in line for R&R Roller Coaster at HS (110 min wait) .
Got to the BC and our room was ready can I tell you sooo happy. We got an amazing room fourth floor corner room we have two Juliette balconies
One view of the courtyard and one looking straight at the pool slide at SAB . Hubby was so impressed. I didn't let him know we got a deluxe room so it was a nice surprise.
More pixie dust when they brought fresh flowers and soda and water for our fridge.
I had to explain to the kids not to get use to this but to enjoy every second.
Best part of all I met Teena and she is as sweet and as nice as everyone has said.
So we may see you all at the Dessert party Teena may have talked us into it.
That's all for now will keep updating as we go along.

Stay safe to my fellow YC/BC New Englanders! We've been through about 4 tornado warnings over the past 2 hours or so. Eek.

My town kept being mentioned in conjunction with the term "funnel cloud," and Dee, they just were talking about torrential rain where you live!

Thanks for the concern and back-atcha! Hope our friends in the area are safe! We have had very heavy rain off and on all afternoon. My big concern was the tornado warning along the corridor of the commuter rail my husband takes to get home, but fortunately he will be on the late train and missed those issues.

Thoughts also to others dealing with extreme weather conditions- ridiculous heat, fires, flooding. Crazy and scary stuff going on!

Hello folks,

Just checking in...so funny how there are so many Disers here right now. Robyn, I think we keep missing each other, but I will find you!
Couchy, glad you made it in. Hope you are having a ball.
I got to chat with Teena earlier today. What a treat that was! She was so fun Teena, anytime you and Bob want to take a trip to Tennessee, you have a place to stay!
On to the BC...room is a great size...lots of room in bathroom area. Mousekeeping has been wonderful. We have gotten an elephant, Mickey, and two swan towel animals, and we have only been here since Friday.
Room is always made up nicely. We requested 10-12 for daily service, and that's what we've received.
Lobby is lively and fun. And the scent is wonderful!
I thought I would miss being on the monorail, but truly haven't. The other night the line leaving MK was down to the dock for the resort ferries!
Buses to and from AK and MK have come every 10-15 minutes or so.

So far, we're having a great trip. Weather has been rainy , but on the coolish side, and I love it. Girls, just don't plan on spending lots of time on your hair

If I haven't greeted you here on the thread in the past,

Reports are that the BC CL lounge is going to be expanded, and parts of the resort will be renovated next year. I haven't seen an start date or anticipated completion date announced for the work.

Thanks for the welcome! That's fantastic to hear, 2014 must be a great year for the resort as the villas are also supposed to be refurbished sometime next year too! Can't wait to get back to the resort, there is something very special about it. I walked around Crescent Lake while I was down a couple weeks ago, and wow, did I forget how much I liked the place! I think I needed that reminder to see Stormalong Bay again!

Hello! We've done several split stays, and Disney has not provided transportation. (Our most recent split was Poly/BWI in January of this year.) As you mentioned, Bell Services can transfer your luggage. We've also asked the CMs in the front of resorts to help us get a cab to our new resort, but that's the extent of the transfer assistance.

That's pretty much what I thought! We'll probably just take a taxi so we'll have our luggage just in case we can check in early!!

I don't know if you mentioned the night at the Poly. Before or after your stay? I have you on the Be Our Guest list for October, but no specific dates.

We will be at Poly 10/18, checking into YC 10/19-10/25!

81 days till the wife and I check in for two weeks. Still ages to go but we booked at about 540 days, so I guess we're nearly there!!

Never been to a boardwalk resort. Been to dolphin which we love. And Epcot is our fave, especially as it'll be food and wine too, so we cannot wait to get there!

We usually take our stuff to Bell Services and then take Disney transportation to our morning park or breakfast. Then head to the next resort when we're done.

I was at work today and my weather app kept sending me push notifications about a tornado warning and flood warning in my town. Someone needs to call Mother Nature and tell her she's got us confused with Kansas!

I have a cousin in Peabody who now has 6 inches of water in his laundry room. Gah.

Also want to wish our Canadian friends a happy day!
Inspired by "O Canada," in 2011, DP and I have since been to Montreal 3 times, as it's about a 5.5 hour drive from us and have more than enjoyed our stays. Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Toronto and Niagara Falls are on the short-list for future weekend get-aways!

Checked in at 10:45. Got a text about a half hour ago that the room was ready but they texted me the wrong room! No problem. Got the right room now. Think I will be able to see fireworks from our balcony . The skies just opened up. Still no prob. Going to head to MK to see about a castle

COFFEE alert : it seems they are in the midst of the elusive Joffreys switch. In my room the reg coffee is Joffreys and the decaf is still cuisinart .

Going to see of I can go find Teena and say hello
