If we wanted to get to AKL from BC (Boma ressie), is the best way to use a cab, or bus to TTC?

Yayyyyy for June! Now just 2 more months

Quickest way would be a cab. I don't remember if you can reach one park from another, but if you have the time, you certainly can go to the TTC and board a bus there. My opinion, spring the extra couple of bucks and get a cab.

That is what I was thinking

Otherwise it is 2 busses. No resort to resort busses

We haven't used them in a few years, so I looked it up. Here is a link to an information thread about all the WDW lockers:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/tips_for_touring/lockers.htm

Thanks so much for the link! Great info.

I forgot to add my other tip (which is included with this info)- if you rent a locker in one park and go to another park in the same day, you only need to pay for the deposit (refundable) to rent in the second park by showing your receipt. I think that is the same policy for stroller rentals, too.

I also didn't know that there are lockers in Downtown Disney.

Has anyone tried the new ice cream martinis in France yet? Just saw them posted on the Disney Food Blog! These are served in a martini glass, and come with your choice of three select liqueurs: Grand Marnier, Clement Rhum from Martinique, and Whipped Cream flavored Epic Vodka!

I haven't posted in quite some time but have been lurking. All the talk about Slushies has me ready to get one on my next visit.

I'll be there the last week of June but am staying at the Dolphin with my sister in law because she is there for a National School Nurses' Convention. It will be just her and I going. I'll be solo for most of the day but we'll be out and about together evenings drinking slushies and ice cream martinis in France!

Hubby and I are in the discussion phase of another trip to Beach Club. We're just trying to decide when!

Hey, :welcome: back!

Have a great time on your June trip and definitely let us know when you have your trip to the BC planned!

:goodvibes

Well probably my last live update from the wonderful beach club club level. We switch to the yacht club tomm. Lots of people checking in today. Both club and regular rooms. It was crowded in the lobby around 2pm.

My only complaint of the club level. I wish they would label some of the offerings like maybe even a little place card so you wouldnt have to guess what things are.

This morning in the lounge: chocolate chip mini muffins, blueberry danish. Yest. it was blueberry mini muffins, so I guess they rotate those offerings.

Last night it was phyllo and I am guessing maybe feta in it? Not sure. And crab rangoons because dh heard someone else ask what they were. Some kind of spicy sauce, tasted tomato like. then in a little ramekin was something like salsa Sorry for the vague descriptions because hence we dont know what anything is etc

Honestly what if someone has a food allergy, do they have to constantly have people ask what things are etc. I think labeling the stuff would be much better I dont think it would look tacky at all. I dont know what, if any, is the issue with them not doing this.

We are eating at cape may tonight but I might just go in to see what they have so I can write something about it.

So far my favorite club level cast member is Hannah. She is just the sweetest.

Tomm. I get to say hi with Teena and take a picture. Now if only I knew how to post them.

we stopped off at the lounge before dinner and I am so glad we did because they had...bacon wrapped scallops:):), also ahi tuna, and if anyone wants to play, guess whats in the phyllo triangle tonight...its ...spinach!! They also had a watermelon drink, non alcoholic, Dh liked it.

At the pool today there were lots of empty tubes just floating around but by 2 it got busy with lots of people. Swimming was very refreshing. I like that they have the swim vest rack out for kids.

Once again, thanks for the updates.

Hmmm... that's odd about the lack of signs identifying the food at club level. I know I have seen them in photos from the YC and I'm pretty sure there were signs when we last stayed at BC club level (July 2010).

I agree, they really should have them out!

So glad to hear that the scallops and bacon made an appearance. I know that made a lot of people happy. I have also heard great things about those watermelon shooters. They sound super refreshing.

As far as I know, Teena is working Sunday and Monday this week, but if you do run into her and happen to take a picture, if you want to email it to me, I'll post it for you

Hey! Great picture- blue is your color. Jk.
BTW- I was looking at the BoG list- although I promise I'm not a stalker- really. I just noticed we'll be at the BC the same time- we overlap several days. If we're at SAB the same time- First round of Sunken Treasures is on me. Yaayyy!!

That's exactly what the BOG list is for!!! I would love to meet as many of my Disboard friends as possible!!!

SAB is our daily "vacation within our vacation"!!! Nothing like a mid-day break in that July heat!!!

Be sure and wave, jump, yell or whatever you need to do to get my attention if you see 3 Big "Kids" enjoying some pool time!!!

There isn't a bus to the TTC to or from any of the resorts. Maybe you are thinking of the resort bus depot near the park gate, or the DTD bus..

To get to AKL from the BC via bus, you would have to take the AK bus to the park then switch to the AKL bus.

Or you could go to DHS by boat or go through Epcot and take AKL bus from there. Sometimes easier than TTC.

Morning all,

I'm not ate sure where to ask this, so I'll ask my fellow BC lunatics.....

Our next trip to home is coming up in July, and my wife and I are planning on coming down a day earlier than the rest of my family in order to prepare for my nephew's first trip to WDW. As of now, I have a standard room booked at AKL for our first night, but now, as I always do, am beginning to have second thoughts about staying there. I already received my DME tags in the mail, my question is if we decide to switch resorts, must I request new tags since the ones I have currently read AKL? Thanks in advance...

Oh my gosh! I will be at BCV tomorrow!! :cool1: I am beyond excited! Having never stayed there before (have always stayed at Pop in the past), I just want to thank everyone for all the great info on this thread! You guys are great! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the great advice. I knew the fans on this thread would have good recommendations

Our stay is 6/13 - 6/15. This is a short trip with a very short planning window. Not the usual way we do Disney so I am not used to dealing with everything being booked up. With my recent knee replacement surgery I had not planned on a trip but who can turn down a free trip to a great resort. I am looking forward to exploring the YC.

We have never gone resort to resort other than by boat

Great idea. Can't really go through Epcot since we are not par hopping at this time

We were originally booked at BWV for the week of 6/15-6/22 because nothing was available at BC or YC for our dates. As of this morning I am happy to say that we will be staying at YC Club Level! Woohoo so excited. :)

Why is your son hugging that kid?

:rotfl2:

Funny thing is that he has never seen the Stitch movie, TV show etc. He only knows him from WDW but he still gets a kick out him and his antics. We are getting VERY close to the "too cool" for character stage so it will be interesting to see how that plays out this trip...

JennCin78- congrats! :cool1: YC CL is our very favorite place to stay!!

FYI I just read ticket prices are going up tomorrow... Order today to avoid the increase tomorrow if you don't have a package where tickets are included!!

Everybody gather 'round, It's time for Ninja Mom's Advice Corner!

Recently, on another thread there was a poster wondering, (for the millionth time) which resort she should pick for her families stay. They were going back and forth between Blah and Blah and couldn't decide so they asked the wise sages that post on the Dis for feedback about what to do. I know that some of you reading this thread will be faced with this quandary one day. So I decided to chime in and solve all of your resort choosing problems.

Here is the best answer to the "Where should we stay question.... are you ready?? here it comes......

Stay at The BC/YC/BCV.

There.

That was easy wasn't it? It's sort of like I am preaching to the choir huh? Well I am, but if you find yourself in a position where you CAN'T stay at the BC/YC/BCV because you aren't willing to rob a bank or facilitate an early inheritance from an untimely death in your family, then you may be faced with the chore of deciding where else to stay. All that decision making takes time, and these days, who has time when we spend all of our productive hours reading the Dis Boards.

So I'm going to give you Ninja Mom's full proof method for chosing a Disney resort for your next "El Cheapo" stay.

Our family just writes the name of all the contenders on a post it note and scatters them on the floor. Then we call the dog over and the first one he touches is the one we pick. If something goes wrong at the resort, or if we don't like it, we can blame the dog for picking it. When we get home we are sure to give him the stink eye for a day or two. This makes everybody feel better, but not so much the dog, who is probably wondering what we got in our eye while we were on vacation.

Now if you have a situation where YOU want to stay some place and everyone else wants a different place.... well what you do is rub peanut butter or bacon on your post it note when the rest of the family is NOT looking. You give the dog the secret wink and lay your post it note down. Those dogs have noses like you wouldn't believe so it's a sure bet he's going to run over to your note and touch it first. Just be sure to give the dog a treat after he picks your note, otherwise he will hold a grudge and defeat your scheming the next time you have to use this system of choosing a resort.

Remember, if you "Help" the dog pick your resort choice there is no giving the dog the stink eye if you have any problems on vacation, because that choice was all yours, the dog was just in it for the bacon.

~NM

PS. Remember, if you are willing to take the advice of a bunch of strangers on the internet, what's so bad about letting the dog decide for you??

Grr...how much more? Looking to spend July 4-6 at the YC and have 1 military park hopper left and can't go to MK because of the BO. Guess I will need a trip to target. :(
