One of my favorite discoveries at Disney are the luggage lockers outside of Hollywood Studios. Located between the bus stop and the front entrance, the lockers are single use (you can only get in once), HUGE, and cost only $1 in quarters.

These are great for us because one of our typical days is morning at AK, hop to Blizzard Beach, dinner at Boma and hop to HS- so these lockers are great for stashing our wet stuff while at HS.

HubbDave inspired this question because if I did the walk to HS in the morning, I would want to change my shirt and stash it away upon arrival.

We would always use the storage lockers that are located at the International Gateway on our arrival days. We usually got to the BC around 1 pm, the room would never be ready, so we would go over to Epcot to grab some lunch. The lockers were great to hold the stuff we brought on the plane with us. :)

Are those the big ones, too? I am trying to keep track of where these are. I believe there are luggage lockers at the TTC. I haven't heard that there are any at AK.

I love them!

Slushie vs Sunken? Which wins?

Hoofing to DHS from BC in August...will I melt?

Best breakfast pastry at Marketplace?

Kongaloosh!

DH and I have hoofed it in July. It can be a bit toasty. We usually go early in the morning and its not so bad. The trip back can work up a little sweat so upon return to BC we promptly change into swimwear and head to the lazy river in SAB :)

One question for you- Did you preform the necessary hand signal while typing Kongaloosh? :thumbsup2

One week from today, we will arrive at the BC for our first visit there! :cool1: Can't wait!:beach:

Your "one week" ticker looks fabulous on you!:cool2:

Hope you enjoy your first visit to the BC! We feel in love 5 years ago on our first visit and will be back for our 7th BC stay in just a few more weeks.

We really enjoy the location, the staff, love hanging around SAB ordering drinks and food and having them brought to our lounging selves, having the whole family laugh their way down the jib slide, love the scents and sounds, the beach, the Boardwalk ... is it time to go yet? :cloud9:

Extra treat tonight. We had dinner at Cat Cora's Kouzzina, and got to meet Cat Cora herself. She happened to be in town checking on her restaurant, and came around to every table.

DW was quite excited as her family comes from the same small Greek island as Cat Cora's family, so they were able to talk about all sorts of things they had in common.

Very nice lady who really seemed to care that her restaurant was putting out quality food. One of the best meals we have had all week.

VERY cool! :cool1:

Slushie!!!!!!!!!!

And I would walk to DHS in the AM in August (we do it all the time for SWW in June) but I wouldn't do it in the afternoon. Way too hot...

:rotfl2: you'd think we were a bunch of lushes on this thread

I resemble this remark ;)

Not sure what is up with my ticker, but we leave Wednesday (5 days not 4). We are starting at POR and moving to YC the second weekend and beyond once DH joins us.

If you happen to see running around, be sure and say Hey!!!

Thanks Teena!!! Boy I wish we were staying with my family at BC next week, they would FALL IN LOVE....BUT at least I'll be there in July!!!

So looking forward to seeing you again :)

Has anyone tried the new ice cream martinis in France yet? Just saw them posted on the Disney Food Blog! These are served in a martini glass, and come with your choice of three select liqueurs: Grand Marnier, Clement Rhum from Martinique, and Whipped Cream flavored Epic Vodka!

I haven't posted in quite some time but have been lurking. All the talk about Slushies has me ready to get one on my next visit.

I'll be there the last week of June but am staying at the Dolphin with my sister in law because she is there for a National School Nurses' Convention. It will be just her and I going. I'll be solo for most of the day but we'll be out and about together evenings drinking slushies and ice cream martinis in France!

Hubby and I are in the discussion phase of another trip to Beach Club. We're just trying to decide when!

Dee: you crack me up!!!

Secretly I would LOVE to be the one in the blue dress!!!

when I grow up, I plan on working at Disney making EVERYONE smile!!!

Thanks!:goodvibes. I think the location and the pool will be great. We normally stay at the POLY, and I think I will really miss seeing fireworks over the castle. On our MK day, we are planning on going to the POLY in the afternoon to shop, have dinner at Capt. Cooks, and watch the water show and fireworks from the beach.

OK, in the spirit of keep an eye out, this is DS and I (but add about 5 inches to his height- its been quite a year for him!). You cannot miss me with that big 'ol pink backback! I don't do the lime green Mickey thing but if you see me, be sure to say "Hi!" (I promise not to lie about who I am or that I have never heard of the DIS ;))

Great questions!!!

I'm going with Sunken, with *

We have walked from HS back to BC twice, both in the evening, in July. I'm not sure I would want to do it first thing in the morning and start the day at the park warm and sweaty.

I hear great things about the chocolate croissant.

* From Dee's deep dark secret files... :ssst:

I have never seen Wishes, I haven't had a Sunken Treasure at SAB (my only one was in Mexico) and I have never had a burger or ice cream at Beaches and Cream
(*ducks* as a whole can of whipped cream is lobbed at my head :duck: )

I plan to remedy at least a couple of these travesties on my upcoming trip

.

:faint: shocking!!!
