It's a beautiful day here in North Carolina and Stormalong Bay is calling me!!! It's going to be very hard to resist a trip this summer. Robyn: don't say a thing!!!! I fear it wouldn't take much to get me back to my beloved YC!!

I just keep making plans for our trip next summer to keep me going.

I know that before I go on a trip I start to get worried about all these potential issues that tend to vanish once I get started on the actual trip. Right now I have a vacation planned in December with Buzzy the Fly and I have all of these concerns, like does he snore and what will people think if I'm going on vacation with a fly. Our dining plan is also a mess because Buzzy is on the deluxe dumpster plan and I just couldn't agree to that. At first I thought that we would be dining separately but then Buzzy said he would come to all of my meals as well. As long as there is no sharing I'm fine with that.... I think! ~NM

Trust me........I've been considering it. My husband keeps shaking his head because he figures I'll cave. LOL!! Summertime just always means YC to me. I love it so!!!

THis is probably where I need to ask this question!

So I'm considering moving us (me, DH, and DD5) from POR to Beach CLub for our last day. We will be doing 1/2 day at Epcot and then don't plan to go to a park on our travel day. Our plan doesn't take off until 8 pm though, so we'll have a good amount of time and I thought it would be fun to end out trip with Cape May breakfast and hanging out at this awesome pool I've read about.

Someone pointed out to me that I need a back up plan in case it rains. What would be suggestions? (This is mid-August, so I know we are very likely to have a rainy spell in the afternoon. But otherwise hoping for sunny skies!)

Why yes, Mrs Buzzy knows and frankly she could use a break. What with all the kids-800 plus a day, she just doesn't have the time to run around with Buzzy on vacation.

My husband says that if Buzzy is rich I'm to tell him that I'm single. I tried to explain that this is a friend trip and that Buzzy and I are two different species, but my husband is not the sharpest knife in the drawer if you know what I mean... He says that's why he married me....

Anyway, touring with Buzzy does have it's benefits. He's offered to take us through the parks using his Insect Assistance Card. I didn't feel that that was right so I turned him down. We'll just wait in line like all the other people-sects touring the parks. He also has the ability to get "backstage" but I'm thinking I may not be able to follow him when he does this so I'll just keep the magic real if you know what I mean.

Dee - 24th of June - wow! We get out the 14th and I can't wait (cause that means I'm home for the summer too!). We did give up three extra days during the year to make up from Sandy but we're still getting out our original date.

Plus we had the primary election for Senator to replace John Kerry- they closed the school district because the election was at the high school. Wanted to make sure there was enough parking for me and the other 5 people who voted.

I think the only snow day we had the previous year was in October!

My kids' last day is Monday. It would have been this Friday except we had one snow day. The downside is that school starts August 19th this year, and the week before that next year. It's been cold and miserable here for the last few days, and our community pool was not open for Memorial Day weekend for the first time. I'm hoping it warms up next week. I took the week off to spend with the kids for the first week of their summer break, and I was planning to be poolside.

Wow, natebenma...June 26 IS really late. I am in Wilmington, and I've been squawking because my kids' last day is June 21. Last year they got out on June 12, so I feel like we're getting robbed this year.

My kids are also out on 6/26 this year (Danvers) I think we only had 1 snow day left! I'm so glad I didn't plan our trip for the end of June!
