We are booked at YC for 8/24 to 9/1 this year. We were originally going to stay at POP (never stayed at a value resort before, but figured the savings would be worth it). We happened to find the great deal that others have mentioned and now we are able to stay at YC for only $250 more for 8 nights. Needless to say, we are ecstatic. We stayed at BC in 2011 and fell in love with the area...except for our awful neighbors that were up screaming at each other all night. So that leads to my question....are all of the rooms adjoining? We would prefer not to have that door since it seems to allow more noise from the neighbors. We are going for our delayed honeymoon with no children and would live to have quiet.

Over the course of the whole week, we received only 1 towel animal. It was this gem:

We couldn't stop laughing when we saw it. My DD13 looked at it and said, "I am not touching that thing". Best towel animal ever for how much it made us laugh. I believe it's supposed to be a stingray??? Looks a heck of a lot like something else to me though...
Just catching up; saw this and literally was cracking up!! My DS14 would probably have some clever remark...:rotfl2:

Nothing special required ... so whatever you are in the mood to wear.

We usually spend the mornings at the park in our "park" clothes, come back for a swim, shower and change. I usually wear something nicer each evening, like dressier shorts and a halter top with sandals -- makes me feel like I am more out for the evening than park touring.

Hope you get the chance to enjoy!

Thank you Minnie & Mickey Mom I hope we make it there looks great :)

That's strange, I think for the food offered it should be a quick service in my opinion. Mostly hot dogs & hamburger type stuff!

B&C was always table service and as far as I know it still is. Waste of a table service in my opinion. We love it there but if I were on the dining plan, I'd pay for it and not use a table service for sure.

I asked yesterday, still table service and a select few items for a snack credit

On third load of wash. The cruise was wonderful ... weather perfect.

Off to the BC lobby tomorrow. Hope to see some of you there.

Do you think we have time on checkout day of YC to have breakfast at cape May at 730 and get to GF by car by 9 ish to get our kids to the pirate cruise by 930? I plan to already have our car loaded,I'm not sure if we share the same parking lot at BC/YC. I would prefer to have our car near CapeMay but not sure if that is possible.

It should work out. I don't think it will take more than an hour and a half to eat.

Welcome Back, Teena! Good to hear it was wonderful as usual!

CT Disney, love the photos and the updates! Thanks so much!

Nanette, hope you're having a wonderful time! Thanks so much for reporting in!

DancinDaisyDuck, regarding the differences between the BC and YC lobbies, I do agree that YC is usually a little lower key. But in our experience, not always. There have been times that we've passed through the YC lobby and seen lots of convention attendees in the lounge area and the lobby. Still crowded, just a different feel. We've only experienced crowds in the BC lobby during the summer when Cape May opens and around 11am check-out time. Otherwise, we haven't seen anything too crowded in the BC lobby over 20 years of stays covering all four seasons. I definitely prefer the BC lobby for a number of reasons, including Teena, the decor and warm atmosphere, the family vibe, and the BC Marketplace! :)

Welcome back!!! I do hope Bob is now well stocked with vodka?

Glad your trip was great!!!

Quickly, before I head out to the theatre- here is a picture of Princess Lily. For anyone going to the Yacht or Beach Club in early August- be on the lookout for this cutie in SAB!

I'll post the cruise pictures tomorrow on the Lily Goes Live thread.

I'll also have a chance to go through the last few days to welcome the newcomers and bump up any unanswered questions.

Have a great night, all!

Teena, what are your hours tomorrow? We have a keys to the kingdom tour in the morning, but would like to meet you in the afternoon. Also need a new pic of you and FB :)

I totally agree with you teena, you don't get your money out of Beaches & Cream on DDP. Paying of pocket is smarter & maybe save that DDP to upgrade another dinner to a signature!

:offtopic: how was your cruise? Did you stock up on the liquor? I hope you had a great time!

I start at 9:30. I normally am at lunch from 12:45 to 1:20-1:30. I usually take a 10 minute break around 4 and then I leave at 5:45. Looking forward to seeing you!!!

The cruise was great. We had weather between 70-78 the whole week and low humidity too. Castaway Cay was wonderful ... Bob and I enjoyed it so much!

Bob is happy. He brought back 8 bottles from St. Thomas. That should keep him until our next trip which probably will be in September or early October.

Only bad thing was that Bob tripped and fell Friday on the dock at Castaway. He bloodied up his wrists and knees ... nothing bad ... but it looks as if his left (and he's left handed naturally) wrist is more than just bruised. He can't move it today ... can't even hold a pen and write ... and it's huge. We've been icing it. I think I finally talked him into going to the ER tomorrow for x-rays instead of waiting until his doctor is in on Monday. His new supply of vodka is helping though.

Teena - WELCOME BACK!!!

Sounds like a fantastic cruise.

As usual pic of Lily is just adorable.

Absolutely agree with you about Beaches and Cream. I would never waste a ts credit there. We love B&C but when we have the DDP we pay out of pocket. This year we are just doing TIW so no more worry about hoarding credits!
