Not sure if I have welcomed you to the thread in the past, but you can't have too many

Thanks for the info. Like you said, IPO does not always contact guests proactively, although they are supposed to, so I think it is a good idea for guests to contact IPO with any questions if you haven't heard from them. Include your reservation number on any emails.
I will watch for you! This trip is just me (average size, red hair, and likely sporting a sunburn) and DH (average size, salt-and-pepper hair, tan).
We will look extremely happy because we won't have anyone else with us! I've done trips with just immediate family, with kids and both sets of grandparents at the same time, and with 100 high school students!
Sounds like a nice trip for just the two of you! My DH and I took many trips to Disney together before the kids were born (including our high school senior class trip together). I hear you on accompanying swarms of teenagers to the World. That was my last trip!
Hello everyone! I have been lurking on this thread for a few weeks, ever since I booked our first-ever trip to BC for July 20-26. You seem like a fun, friendly group, so I thought I'd finally say hello and introduce myself! I am Lynette, a longtime DISer. I used to be a frequent poster on the CB (among other places), but haven't been around much recently.
We have been to WDW several times, but have always stayed at AKL in a Savannah View room. That resort just feels like home to us! But this time around, DH has decided he really wants to mix it up and stay somewhere (anywhere!) different, so BC it is! Based on all the info and photos I've found here, I am sure my family and I will love BC, but I am secretly a tiny bit sad that I won't be staying at AKL. My kids, who really adore AKL too, were won over to BC when I showed them photos of SAB. Plus, we have the recommendation of a good family friend whose favorite resort is BC. We are fortunate enough that this friend even booked our stay for us using a CM Friends & Family discount.
We are actually going to be staying off-property from the 14th to the 19th (totally NOT my idea!), and then moving over to Beach Club on the 20th. So much of this trip is outside of our usual WDW trip that I am feeling angst-y about it. It goes against my inner control freak to delve into the unknown.
Now you all have WAY more info about me than you ever wanted.Feel free to shoot me suggestions about being a first-time guest at Beach Club. Do's, don'ts, whatever you've got! Nice to meet you all!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

The one thing to know as a first time guest is just how great it is to be able to stroll on over to EPCOT in about 5 minutes! And to have really easy access to Hollywood Studios as well.
Hope you love it!!!
Yay! I can finally say please add us to the Be Our Guest List
We finally booked today. Just dh and I. We are celebrating a big anniv
May 28- June lst Beach Club Standard CL and then switching to Yacht Club June lst to 4th lagoon view.
Teena - I will be the crazy cancer lady with the wheelchair who saw Justin Bieber in the lobby!Dh and I will stop by and say hi.
TIA

Glad to add you the Be Our Guest list!!! Happy Anniversary and congrats on the trip for just the two of you lovebirds!

POWERADE:

I asked on the beach club marketplace thread buy haven't received a response. I figure this thread gets more traffic, so I'll ask here. Anyone know if powerade is available on the dispensers for the refillable mugs? I'm thinking no, but wanted to check. What about sprite zero? I think these were both options at assp but can't remember if they were there when I moved to bcv. Headed down on thursday.
Have not seen Powerade at BC the last few years, but we did stay a couple of nights at Sports before checking in to BC last year and I noticed the Powerade there. I am thinking it is due to the sports groups that stay there & go over to ESPN.
I asked this on another thread, specifically about drinks in the club level and then now I am reading that someone said there is no powerade in the marketplace. I am also wondering about non carbonated bottled drinks in the club lounge too. I cannot drink anything made with the Florida water, not even ice, sorry it makes me horribly sick. I need the bottled water to take my meds etc.
Just wondering if we should make our usual hess mini mart trip?
Also do they have bananas in the club lounge. I dont see any in the pictures that I have seen so far. I need them for my potassium def. Hence hess stop etc.
TIA
I just responded on that other thread with the contact info for IPO. I think I see bottles of Powerade in the refrigerator at the Marketplace, along with lemonade and possibly bottled ice tea.
When you contact IPO, let them know what you need and why.
I'm pretty sure when we stayed CL last (2010) there were bowls of fruit in the lounge. Apple, banana, oranges. I'll go look for a picture. But if this is something you need, I would let IPO know in advance to make sure they have some available for you.
Here you go- from 2010, BC CL:
