I have a question for those that did breakfast in their room.
We want to get cereal for the morning to cut down on cost and time. Will BC provide bowls and spoons for us if we ask, or should I just buy paper bowls and plastic spoons?

I am back again, I can't believe that DH says we can stay here again. It's very expensive for us Brits what with airfare etc. we did look at OKW, but decided to splash the cash and stay here.

Now all I need to do is try and find a room plan before I book with Disney UK, so I can add a booking note for our favourite location.

We will be here 24/08/14 until 30/08/14. We're going for a cruise first on the Carnival Breeze. This Summer we cruised the Med for the first time with Carnival and really enjoyed it. So excited now. Plus we have the free dining plan.

We included paper bowls in our GG order
We would get spoons at BC Marketplace when I schlepped down to get coffee

Beach club villa coffee makers. What kind are they? We have a keurig so i've forgotten how to make filter coffee. Are there single pouches you recommend buying somewhere? I'd rather not measure out and am looking for bringing as much dry pkg stuff that is lightweight in checked bags as i can.

Is there a blender for making smoothies?

Anyone do frozen fruits or ice in it (looking to see if the motor has enough HP or if i should pack my immersion blender) i realize i have to to e it down w the amount if whole foods i use as i'm not about to bring my ninja lol

Coffee protein smoothies and eggs are a must each morning before we leave our room. lol

I realize i can get a coffee in marketplace too but i NEED one before we leave for the bus as well lol

For guests staying villas i know there is no housekeeping but are there soaps shampoos and conditioners upon arrival? Thanks!

:wave2:

There is limited housekeeping if you are staying on DVC points. Regular paying guest receive housekeeping daily.

And yes. You are fully stocked on supplies on arrival.....

We do this during F&W, eat around the world. I think it's a great plan!

This is our 14th F&W Festival and that is how we have done it almost every year! Lunch at the kiosks and dinner outside of Epcot. Great planning!

Thank you for your reassurance. :goodvibes. I'm excited to try the boothes, my husband on the other hand prefers TS meals, so I hope it works! I'm just worried about finding a place to sit & eat. Do they put out any extra seating for F&W ?

37 days......:cool1:

Teena- I hope that you're feeling better

Hi all!
I've been away for a while. I'm one of those teachers who falls off the map during the first few weeks of school, but I've taken this weekend off to celebrate my birthday and have some time to myself (DP has taken me on a "location"- a local vacation at a 4* hotel about 30 min from home...we're just having nice dinners, and enjoying the hotel amenities).

Our December YC trip is coming up so fast!
There's not much more to plan....ADRs are made....
Now just counting down....
and waiting...hoping to get some news about being able to try out Magic Bands!
I've been checking the website almost daily, but to no avail.

Hope you all are well...
Dee...we ate at Seaglass a week or so ago for my mother's birthday....you really need to try it. I call it "Beach Club meets The Contemporary."

Teena...counting down the days 'till we see you on Dec 8!

You can ask at the Beach Club Marketplace for bowls and spoons, or you can purchase some cheap plastic or disposable ones before your trip. They don't take up too much space and are light to carry.

:thumbsup2

:welcome: back Heather!

Sounds like a fantastic trip!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list. Yacht Club?

The coffee makers in the villas are Mr. Coffee type machines. The studios have 4 cup machines and the 1 and 2 Bedroom have the 10 cup.

I like to bring along Maxwell House coffee pads- they are sold in a rectangular box and are sealed filter bags. One bag makes 4 cups, or you can use 2 bags for 8 cups.

Not sure about the blenders, so someone else will need to chime in on that.

:bday: Scott!

Yes, Mark and I need to plan a date night over at Sea Glass. Some friends went there this week to celebrate their anniversary. We don't get out much together without the boys, so most of our dinners are at places with names like Applebees, 99, Chilis and today our big plans are to dine at "Le TGI Fridays!"

:rotfl2:

For those of you staying in October who are using Magic Bands. This BOG fastpass + link for lunch finally worked for me yesterday! Was able to get a fast pass reservation for Oct 26th. You have to decide what you are eating from now (and their menu isn't even that appealing imo) but you get to eat in the beast castle so I'll let it slide lol..anyway here is the link good luck!

https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/

Thanks for the post! Thanks to your heads-up I got a FP+ reservation for 10/27. I was able to choose between a FP+ where I pick what to eat ahead of time, or a FP+ that is just an "expedited arrival" reservation that didn't make me pick what to eat. If you didn't want to pick what you want to eat yet (and let's face it--who really knows what they want to eat over a month in advance :lmao:) you could try to go back in and modify your reservation. Just wanted to let you know you might have that option if you want it.

Either way, thanks!

Thank you for the Be Our Guest link! It worked and we have lunch reservations for 10/15! I really wanted to do lunch here but was dreading the wait. You made my day!

Thanks for the tips on the coffee maker. The pad type filter is exactly what i was trying to articulate! :)

There will not be a blender in the room. I don't know if Mousekeeping will bring one up if you request it. If you don't get an answer here, you can post that on the DVC Mousecellaneous Boards. They should be able to tell you.

Your other post mentioned Mousekeeping. Did you book through CRO or are you staying on points? If you booked through CRO you get daily Mousekeeping. If you are staying on points (yours or someone else's), the schedule depends on how long you are staying. 7 nights or less: Trash & Towel service on Day 4. 7 nights or more: full cleaning on Day 4, Trash & Towel service on Day 8.

I think they're supposed to replace toiletries during either of those services. I guess I haven't paid much attention, because I always bring my own (or have them in my Owner's Locker).

And FYI, there is a garbage room on each DVC floor. You can take your trash out whenever you want, you don't have to wait for Mousekeeping to do it.

Hello from fellow Brits, we are at Yacht the same time :cool1:

Hi All!

Sorry if this has been asked before but we'll be staying in a BC deluxe studio villa (thru CRO not points) next month and I was hoping someone knew if the studio fridges have a freezer section. Also, are they the same size as the mini fridge you'd find in a regular room or are they a little bigger? TIA

35 days to go!!!:cool1:
