We check in a beach club day after tomorrow!! So excited, first time staying there.
So....just wondering...I just found my way to the "old" Disney website trying to find a place to add celebrations to the ADR's which apparently we can no longer do ourselves without calling. I managed to get it done for BOG weeks ago, but none of the others are giving me the option. Anyways, I read that maybe I could do it on the old site. Tried, but it's not able to pull up the dining reservations at this time. Okay. BUT I looked at the resort reservations details and noticed that in Room Category Type is listed "Garden View" and we booked Standard View. Do you think that means they upgraded us to a Garden View?
It would be nice...we'll be on the plane this time tomorrow!!![]()
I can almost guarantee (not really, of course) you have been upgraded! We have received two upgrades in the past, and both times they were recorded on our reservation the day before we arrived. The first time we booked garden view, and our online reservation the night before said "Lagoon view -club level". I was nervous something had happened, but nope, upgraded! I thought it was a mistake, but when it happened again, I realized it must change when they have assigned your room. Of course, I have no proof of this, just sharing my experience. Good luck! We are checking in tomorrow too - and yes, before you ask, my category is unchanged![]()
Just curiousdid you guys check in online?
Thanks!![]()
Just have a couple of questions for those that are there now....
Is there a bounce back offer in your rooms? Hoping for room discount for next summer, and not the free dining!
Does anyone know if the old, blue H20 products are still available anywhere? Have you seen them? That is my ultimate "Beach Club smell" stuff, use it all the time but I'm out. I'm sure I can find it online someplace, but just love getting in the Marketplace.
I suppose I can find out these answers when I check in TOMORROWbut I just can't wait.
Dee, do you need any pictures?
Omg!!!!! Last night I was so busy packing that I didn't check in with the board I wake up to a new one!!!! This time tomorrow we will be in route to WDW!!! I think I'm almost as excited as my 3 yr old.
This morning conservation was how I was a "big meaning" when he asked if we were leaving for Disney today. I told him no tomorrow morning so I have lost my title of the "big boss" to "big meaning".
I'm starting to have second thoughts about BCis there really only a 50% chance of getting a balcony? That's important to us....and I also read how you may be stuck walking endless halls and turns to your room. Are the buildings I should request to be closer to SAB...or Epcot? Last year we stayed at GF and were spooked I think. It was nice having a large balcony and everything being compact.
You big "meaning" you! We will be waiting for takeoff this time tomorrow too! Flight at 9:20. Woohoo! My kids are now bouncing off the walls! Trying to make the day go by quick so it can be tomorrow already.
I found my way over here. It's really hot here ... yesterday on way to classroom at 8 AM it was 105.
Lily was very excited to see me at the airport!!!!
Thanks Dee for all your hard work here.
Quick answer: A garden view will NOT be a view of a parking lot. It will be a view of something green ... although it definitely could be dense woods and no garden. A true description of the garden view at the BC would be: "View of Something Green that is not a roof."
Hope everybody is having a wonderful time. And I sure hope Rosa's family will have some wonderful non-sick days before heading home. Jay, I'm glad pixie dust hit you and I wish I was there for a family hug!!
Yes I did, I always do and it's always worked out well for us, room ready and gotten our requests.
No, we did not do online check-in. I remember it being quiet the two times we were upgraded, and I know the BC wasn't full, maybe that's the reason? Both times we had booked non CL water view.
Such a helpful thread, thank you so much!!
My first stay at BCV in a few weeks in a Studio and I'm SO excited! I've been wanting to say there for YEARS. I am having trouble figuring out this fridge issue though, I saw in the first page it was stated that YC and BC had the fridge issue resolved, but are the DVC rooms included in this?? Any insight??
Also, I know you need to show your room keys to use Stormalong Bay, but with the magic bands what will happen? Will we still be issued room keys we need to use along with the bands??
The last couple of days we had our Kttw cards and magic bands but since we had the magic bands, we didn't need the paper wristbands and could leave our Kttw cards back in the room. And since they are water proof, the magic bands are easy to swim with.
Going to typhoon lagoon tomorrow and hope we can just use them. Since we can charge on the magic bands, should hopefully not need to bring the Kttw cards or money to the park.
We have been asked for our cards at SAB the last couple of days and they've still given us the paper wristbands despite wearing bands. We did go to TL today and didn't need to use our cards at all, everything accepted the bands which was great![]()

It's there! I was messing around with MDE after dinner, and the option to select FP+ was there! No MB yet, but at least I feel like I'm getting close! Woo hoo! Thanks for the reassurances, everyone!
