2012 Weddings!!

I apologize in advance as i'm sure this is a silly question, but..... if DFTW only let you book 12 months in advance, how do some couples have their dates. I'm sure I am confused, I'm just not sure on what. DH and I would like to do a private vr with just us & our kids. Our older ones will be flying down just for the w/e as they will be in college session. So, I would like to book ASAP.

I know for me I just pestered my wedding coordinator until I could talk to her. Plus, the Dream starting selling our cruise too early so we managed to get in early so we could actually get our date. I would suggest calling so they at least know what date you want and can tell you when you can start booking. Maybe you'll get lucky!!

I can only speak for a Disney World Fairytale Wedding- Wishes, but you can make contact at 18 months and tell them your requested date and time. At 16 months you can tentatively hold a date. At 12 months you can officially contract a wedding.
If you notice, most brides on here are alerting us of the date and/or month they want and as they pass the 16mth/12mth mark they update if they are now official and include more details

It's 16 months in advance to hold your date. 12 months is contract signing and deposit.

My fiance and I had orginally planned an August wedding but have decided to delay it until 12/12/12 due to work related issues. We are so excited! We will be staying at POR and the wedding will hopefully take place in the wedding pavilion. Our back up location is Sea Breeze Point.

I'm jumping on this thread!! Unfortunately, due to my fiance and I having large families, we aren't able to have a Disney wedding. However, there is no place else we'd rather honeymoon than Disney World! Our wedding is October 28, 2012 at home on Long Island, NY and we'll leave the next day for our Disneymoon!!
