2012 Weddings!!

Hi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now, getting lots of ideas while I was patiently waiting for the engagement to happen. Last Saturday it finally did, and we have hit the ground running when it comes to planning. I spoke to a wedding consultant yesterday, we want an Oct. 2012 wedding so I knew I didn't have much time to waste.

As of right now we are penciled in for an Oct. 28th wedding at the Wedding Gazebo and reception at ADH. I am so excited! Now we are trying to book travel for a site visit to make sure that those venus are exactly what we want. Hopefully we can get there soon and start the paperwork so that I can officially say I am a 2012 bride :cheer2:!!!

Yay, wedding twins! :yay:

Wednesday was exactly 1 year until my wedding.scary thinking about it.. I'm also stressing out about the wedding and want everything done like now so I can relax and forget about it until the time comes.

Michelle love the hair. It's gorgeous.

I thought the same thing at 1 year, so I started the favors. Then at 8 months I realized that I was so far ahead that I wouldn't have anything to do once I got closer. I'm at 5 months now and I'm starting to get back at it. I'm so glad I waited or I'd have nothing to do for the next few months!

So excited! I got my confirmation email for our wedding - 12:00 pm on June 21st 2012 at the beautiful Wedding Pavilion!

It was touch and go for a bit if we were going to get our time/date since there are several other weddings happening at the WP on this day. Any date twin brides out there?

Yay for November brides! I'll be one too :)

November 5 2012 - Wedding Pavilion and Living Seas Salon

I got one of my BEO's on Monday (still waiting on the one from floral) lemme just say ..... eeeeeeeeee, I really need to do some cutting :scared1:

I mean, I knew it would be a lot, everyone on here warns about how the first BEO is scary...it just really is more scary in person than it sounded! :rotfl:

Anyone else got a lot of stuff going to the cutting room floor?

Yay for getting your BEO, but boo for it causing you to start cutting a few things... I'm hoping DF doesn't flip out once we get to the point where we get ours

Can't wait to hear about everything

Just got back from our site visit and decided to change the ceremony to the Wedding Pavilion. I orginally wanted it but the contruction concerned me. After seeing the area in person and talking with my fiance we decided I might regret not going with my first choice.

Please update with WP ceremony now, thanks! :)

lol ours was easily $10,000 over what we could afford. As time goes on and numbers come in things start to change. The nice thing was getting our 10% military discount, deciding not to do the videography, and going with an outside photographer. Those three things really helped us. We were still over budget as of the 3 months out mark, but as we now have our official numbers, and it's 25 people less than what is on our beo, that will help. I also went with only 3 flowers (my flowers are calla lilies) for my bridesmaids instead of a big bouquet. For each of their smaller version the price went from $100+ to only $45. I'm not a floral person so I my bouquet and the girls smaller versions are the ONLY flowers being used (except some petals here and there) also if you are ok with it, not having fondant on your cake really helps. I hate fondant and so we have just buttercream. So much more delicious and less expensive.

Just some ideas. :)

Iluvasoldier thanks for the suggestions! I am saving these ideas for when it's time to bring our BEO down.

Hi everyone:)

I am not a DFTW bride, but I am having a DL and a DCL honeymoon.

I am getting married (eloping) in Oahu on March 27th 2012. We will be there for 5 days (hope to check our Aulani while we are there!) and then off to the villas at GCH at Disneyland, followed by a Mexican Riviera Disney cruise.
