Wow.. did not realize it has been so long since I updated here. I guess being busy will do that to you.
My daughter and Son in law are busy enjoying Disney even as I type! My daughter has even started calling it their 'honeymoon'. While it is true they did have a short honeymoon when they got married, her husband was so sick (just a few days after his last chemo treatment) that they really didn't get to enjoy it much.
She has said it has truly been magical. They were supposed to arrive at POFQ around noon, but they woke up at 4 am to drive the rest of the way from Valdosta. They checked in at POFQ around 7:45 and got their tickets and headed to Animal Kingdom. They loved the opening show (which I have never seen!) and were sending me pictures by 9am.
When they finally arrived at their room, Korey (my SIL) had sent her a beautiful Mickey bouquet of 5 roses, one for each year. She was so surprised! (remember, she is the Disney hater!) I teased her that she had to give me the vase...but she wouldn't even answer me! LOL!
They have a special evening at Narcosse (not spelled right...I know) and a surprise of a spa treatment. He has planned a different surprise for each evening they are there. My daughter lucked up with getting a real romantic!
With all the fun I had assisting with the Disney planning, and regularly checking all the boards, the promise of November Free Dining has gotten me all excited again for the chance of going in November.
So, I booked a vacation in November so I can make the ADRs tomorrow.
In case I don't get the FD, we will stick with our September trip. In that vein, my DD wants me to make her some flip flops to wear. I found some adorable ribbon on Etsy

and couldn't pass it up. Now I just have to figure out HOW to embellish flip flops!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our first day of summer vacation. The kids have gotten in the pool for a couple hours each day, and are settling in to the idea of Disney school a couple days each week.
I still need to finish up the launch outfits (I hate, hate, HATE ruffles right now!) plan and finish making things for the luau/pool party in two weeks, and plan and organize our actual beach vacation at the end of June. And I guess I really should finish up that stupid quilt project I have been avoiding! (even though I have already planned on the money for it in my Disney budget! YIKES!)
Last update...
Grand Princess is doing great! there is less than 5 mm left to heal. She has had her boot for a week and is starting to feel a bit comfortable with thinking about walking. She still doesn't like to walk, and is hobbling around a lot, but she is happy to know she can if she wants to. The doctor is shooting for having the pump off when we go to the beach. While we aren't going to push it, if she has the boot off we will be able to take her. If she is still attached to the pump she won't be able to go.
Now, it is time to get back to work! (at least before the kids wake up!)
