Who is with me?? :thumbsup2

With four children under age 10, Kids Free is the best deal for us!!!
WDW has offered this deal the past couple years and I hope they will again.:worship:

I'd love that seeing as we'll have to pay for my youngest starting sometime next year...

I am in! We used this promo last year and saved big time with three kids under 9. I just received a pin for an $80 room discount for May with a booking deadline of January 3. I will probably book it in case the Kids Stay and Play promo does not come out. I'm not positive but I think the Kids Stay and Play will be the better discount. I could always switch if it does come out after I book with the pin.

Ok need more info on this could be special. I have 3 under 4. Kids eat free with that discount to??? We always go with the dining plan I just figured that FD is the best discount for our family.

Last year being 2010 or 2011? I don't recall them having it in 2011, but wondering if I am wrong.

Someone told me that they lost too much money on the kids play free promo so they don't do it anymore...not sure if that is accurate, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, I know it was offered for May last year because I booked with it. (Had to cancel trip though.)

I'm hoping it's released for this year! I am really starting to doubt it though. I booked my May trip with this code on January 2 last year.

If not this discount, I need something! Maybe tonight's announcememnt will offer some relief to those of us needing a discount to book.

I just did the math for my family of five. Our 3 kids will be 8, 6 and 4 when we go. With free dining, we would save $1,036.98. With kids play and stay free, we would save $860.

We are going in September 2012 so from the looks of it, it would be free dining for us anyway (if they do what they did in 2011)

Free Dining is the best discount for your family, if you are staying at a value or moderate resort. If you are staying at a deluxe resort, a 40% off room code is probably going to be your best discount.

The Kids Stay & Play Free Discount is a decent discount, but free dining is usually better. Also, the Dining Plan is NOT included in that discount. The kids already, technically, stay "free," as you are paying for your room anyway. The Kids Stay & Play Free Discount is, simply, free themepark tickes for children age 9 and under on your reservation.

There has been a Free Dining Promo each September for the last 7 years, as that is the height of hurricane season and the reason they started Free Dining promos. No matter what shape the economy is in, September will always be the height of hurricane season. So, even if they did away with FD in other slow weeks during the year, I don't see them getting rid of the mid-August/September free dining discount anytime in the foreseeable future. Of course, Disney does things that don't make sense sometimes, so I guess anything is possible, but I beleive they will release a Fall Free Dining Promo, this spring, just as they have for the last 7 years.

Us! We also have 4 between 3-9 and used it for 3 of our kids in May 2011. Great deal for us!

I hope your right! Normally I'd book it and believe the same as you but I keep hearing that Disney is going to try to tone down the free dining and go with smaller discounts. With the 3/1 just out, I seem to now really believe this. So while they may do something in Sept, it just may not give me the savings that makes me jump to disney this year.

Being able to do our favorite Character Meals and restaurants is part of the whole WDW experience for us and saving $1,500.00 with free dining is the icing on top :-)

Same here! We eat breakfast in our room and pack pbj's and granola bars for lunch. Come on kids stay and play!:wizard::wizard:

We did the free dining for our last trip. We enjoyed the character meals, but the kids did not want to do them again. We spent more on tips and extra food with the regular DDP plan than I thought we would. We tend to eat rather healthy and did not have as many options, especially for the kids, as we would have liked. I'm sure with more research I would have been able to find things for DH and me, but the 3-9 kids' meal options were slim.

I looked up the previous kids stay and play free offers historically came out between dec 30 and jan 4. Hope is dwindling but not completely giving up!

I am feeling the same way. I may be wrong but, I think last year the KSAP came out first to AAA members and Disney Visa card holders before the general public, so in a way you knew it was coming. I checked AAA yesterday and didn't see anything on their site about the KSAP. But like I said, I could be wrong.

The choices are limited and we didn't want to plan our day around where to eat, just go somewhere close by. My kids were so excited when we went to Columbia Harbor House and they had yogurt as well instead of the usual carrots and grapes, I kind of felt bad for them!

We're not tied to certain dates and aren't too pressed to go sooner than a year from now, so I am considering staying at Bonnet creek or something so we can have a place to prepare our own food and possibly have my parents come with us as well. But we loved staying onsite last time. We will see! If there is a kids discount or something else significant, then we'd stick it out with the food.
