2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

i'm still waiting for them to announce that Fall/Winter 2011 to have Free dining. lol.

YES! i really love the idea of not having to worry about have a bunch of extra money. We will need it for gratuities, gas money, and spending money. The only other thing we are probably going to spend money on is possibly the Hoop Dee DOo instead of using 2 credits. We arent sure which one we will do depending on what the future hubby decides that we should go to eat!

the food at the hoop de doo is really good, at least i think so, and plus beer and sangria are included. I enjoy going, i just wont tell my family that, i complain every year about going!! my oldest daughter was the can can dancer one year, it was so funny and she had a great time up there !!

I'm a happy girl any time a sangria is included in a buffet!!! It is my absolute favorite. I hope the fiance enjoys, as well. I would totally throw a few bucks out to try and get him pulled up on stage

My DH and son (age 6 when we go) are planning on August or September 2012. We are still waiting on discounts before we decide when we are going exactly. I haven't been to Disney since 2002 when I went for my honeymoon. Last time we stayed at CBR, but I'm hoping we upgrade to a deluxe this time (either Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge)!

I've done it before. Your travel agent is just calling Disney on your behalf.

Does anyone remember if the moderates had regular DDP or QSDP with free dining last year? We were thinking POP with reg DDP, but if a Mod had the regular included we might consider POP and POFQ.

The moderates had DDP last year, but from everything that I have been reading I am thinking that QS may be all that is offered next year.

I sure hope they offer the regular DDP for mods. If not I'll probably switch to a value and then upgrade the dining. The free dining they are offering now is regular DDP for mods so hopefully they continue that.

Also don't forget, the current dining offer doesn't end until August 27th so I'm guessing they won't put out anything new until that's over. HTH

Do they only release a certain amount of free dining and it's first in best dressed in regards to getting it, or if it's offered for Jan 2012 (my date) and I'm a sleepy head and don't find out for a week I will still be able to get it?

Also, my TA has irritated me. I'm thinking about calling WDW direct and doing my own booking. When free dining gets offered (I'm a confident lass ok lol) I ring them back up and free dining gets applied? If I've already done my ADR and given them my WDW reservation number does my reservation number change when I apply free dining? My ADRs won't get mucked up right?

Yes, they only release a certain amount of free dining rooms, but enough that adding it to your existing reservation should not be a major issue.

It does not affect your ADRs, except for pre-paid ADRs (Royal Table). For your regular ADRs, you are simply asked whether you are on the dining plan, when you appear for the meal. For Royal Table -- as it is pre-paid, you can get a refund if applying the dining plan. (Depending on the CM, you may or may not be able to get that refund in advance, or may have to wait till the ADR date).

interesting!!!! I didn't realize that, but it makes sense. Altho they don't usually officially announce it till April or so, I don't think I can wait that long since I would need to start paying it off now!!!!

Of course you can wait...and still start paying it off! Just do what I do...put away a certain amount each month into a "vacation" account!

yea my mom is going this september with free dining. she had to book her vaca by december 20th last year. i cant remember when that came out last year, im thinking august. i hoping for any kind of discount at this point since prices have gone up
